My avatar?
Well, there are players that like to project themselves into their avatar. Not the case with me. I just wanted something pretty to look at while flying around New Eden (Im no artist so whether she is pretty or not is up for debate...I tried  ).
If EvE allowed pinup posters inside the pods I would have one (along with a stereo set, a TV and a microwave).
If WIS ever gets off the ground I will most likely switch to a male avatar for that.
Anyway, what was your motivation behind your avatar?
Minimizing the cost of replacing implants.

I was born well before the character creator was a part of the game. I just tried to make something that seemed to suit the name. This is the third attempt (Thanks for all the re-makes, CCP) and I think it worked out pretty well at conveying a certain epeenness.

Never put much thought into it. He looks nothing like me, although his attitude is indeed mine. It's just a face that says "This is me" while I'm flying through New Eden. I suppose my lean toward a sort of Soldiers appearance reflects my own time in the service, but all in all, it's just a face to represent me in a game, nothing more.

Nice job. Your avatar's most unique feature though seems to be her facial shape, skin tone and tattoos. I'd go for a face close-up (or neck up) of sorts. Chest up doesn't work the best with the outfit (and bust size) she's currently sporting.

Off topic, but I don't think I would have stayed with Eve as long as I have (nor come back to it like I have now) is it weren't for Blood Money cartel, Skira Ranos, and the people I met and flew with. Missions weren't too bad, mining was freakin mind numbingly boring, but learning to PvP under his tutelage sparked a lust for blown up ships and tears that is hard to beat.
I didn't join for friends. I joined Eve because it looked interesting and I had gobs of spare time alone after my work shifts. I wouldn't have lasted a year if I'd not run into Blood Money. They're gone, now. Sadly. But... Maybe at some point, I will join or start another place in the same spirit.

My avatar is confident, and looks like the sort of bloke who remains calm in tense situations; Basically, I wanted him to represent what I try to be both in-game and in-life. The eyepatch was added after I almost lost a ship and felt like giving him an injury to commemorate my daring escape; And the FW uniform shirt he had before I added the source coat helped the confident look a lot more. I may go back to it soon.

I actually have a goatee and mohawk, so he got those too.
I'm so white I'm almost clear, but my avatar is actually asian underneath those goggles...didn't care enough to change that, just slapped goggles on him.
Haven't altered that avatar other than the direction he's looking, in three years.

Sculpt and facial hair is based on me in real life. I got the fancy shirt from a friend and the Odin eye from some lottery back in 2012. together they pull of a somewhat stern look I like. Looks nothing like how I behave in real life, I'm way more jolly and dress casual. That's why I tried to make the avatar smirk a little.  |

I love minor tweaking and I enjoy burning PLEX on almost unnoticeable (unless I change skin tone) resculpts. This is number 9 for this character. Eye placement is back to number 7, but decided to keep the minor nose changes made for 8. Also decided to get freckles again. |

It was getting late, a hot evening by the pool, sticky, the sun was setting just outside Fresno as I sat by that swimming pool with my feet dangling into the cool wet. Summer of '81. Damn I remember it like it was yesterday.
I remember the girl with the roller skates and the ice cream, small vest top and her swinging towards me and the bubblegum I think she said it's a screwball scramble or something and she popped a bubble and a bit of it got stuck on her lips and she blushed just a little and I remember the bulging funbags bouncing with the swinging of the hips and I watched as she put her sunglasses onto her head, into that lush blonde hair, her freckles resplendent on her lightly tanned face. She was beautiful and I felt vulnerable.
Vulnerable sat there with my fluorescent green bermuda shorts and my factor 30 slathered skin, slightly red, somewhat cooked from my day in the sun. My Incredible Hulk t-shirt resting beside me which I tucked under my butt.
I drifted into a moment of daydream. I wasn't this white goofy kid no more who was sat with his feet in his mom's backyard pool but I was a macho man. A beast of a being and I looked into my mind and I was a sexual god of some form. A mighty being. My moustache well groomed and smelling of the finest waxes and in my mind I saw the image that day, the image of Escobar Slim the 3rd walking towards me, the most powerful love potion salesman in the West. A gunslinger of pheromones and potions of delight who could deliver a bullet to the heart of any sweet that he so desired. I started to drift and think about the late nights with every girl I have ever dreamed about. In my mind I was my very own dark destroyer. Disco lights and smoke would envelop my every strut. Those long strides, strides into the tunnel of passion and the heavy whiff of cologne drifted in the air ......
And we fast forward to the character creation screen and I clicked on that Brutor male icon and up pops a model, a framework for the creation that was formed loosely all those years ago. I rolled back in my chair and stood abruptly, I took off my t-shirt and threw it onto the floor and cast aside everything that was on my desk and I hissed and screamed at the ceiling like a madman for I knew that the moment was about to arrive.
And then the magic happened and my fingers played with those buttons so delicately and it was like one of those pianos with the music already programmed in and it just happened and there he was, sat there in front of me like a finished concerto. The man who I had longed to be all those summers way back when even the Turtles and April O'Neil hadn't even entered my life yet.
It was just beautiful and I cried for hours at what I had created. I wept as if I was a proud parent. And that, my friends is the story of my avatar.
