Edited by: DarknessInc on 24/04/2006 07:25:08 Im curious for a good Long Range Artillery setup
NO t2 equipment. Christ. Im not some veteran also:
Im most likely gonna have BS lv 2, and projectiles lv 3, and Electronics/Engineering lv4
EDIT: I forgot to say what Imma be using this for. Long Range Artillery Support Ship: This means Im not going to be coming under fire at all. Meaning I dont need any tank at all. Just maximized damage output, without Missiles. JUST Howitzers.

Hi - 6 x 1400 howitzers
Mid - 3 x Sensor boosters, 2 x Tracking computers
Low - 4 x Gyrostabs, 1 x Tracking enhancer, 1 RCU
You said you cant use T2 equipment, but the mid and low slot stuff can easily be upgraded to T2 with a little skill training. (T2 RCU takes a while though)

Yep its a good setup, I would normally use something similar but he specifically asked for no tanking at all.

hi just a quick note , there is no point in putting more than 3 gyros on as the stacking pen makes the 4th one point less :)

No. Not pointless just less effective than before RMR. I actullay sometimes fit 4. It can give you the edge to win a fight for sure. Best way to describe it is like doing a skill to level 5 just for another 3%. It makes a difference

Edited by: M00dy on 24/04/2006 14:40:56 Pls try to use Protos or Scouts. Yeah they're expensive, but the unnamed ones are craptastic. (Tho I did insta pop two Stealth Bombers the other day with unnamed T1 1400s)
Anyway, T2 is ftw.
3 Sensor Boosters are a must in my book, as even with 3 you'll take about 4 or 5 seconds to lock a frig. Which is too long.

thankies for all of it
Yes I said no tanking. This is a NPC hunter most likely. My corp mates take the aggros and tank the damage, and they leave me to kill everything else.
Im planning on using Howitzer IIs, since the T2 ammo gets a 100% range bonus. ^_^ holy ****
Even tho T2 Beam Lasers get a 200% Range Bonus

Fitting more than 3 or 4 tracking mods is pointless--you have 3 tracking computers, so more than 1 low slot tracking enhancer does nothing, and even that one does very little.
