Originally by: King Leia I dont get it. earlier( like a year ago), obvious problems got fixed rather quickly. I dont mean balancing problems but obvious flaws in the code. Customers have have been raising issues (again not balacing but code flaws) for at least half a year and in many instances longer. We get told (on rare occasions when a dev ventures into a thread) that yah its so simple, we know its a problem, and we are working on it. Yet three months later or six, nothing
Just a couple of examples. Force reson. Not able to fit both cynos field gen and cloack. Advanced drone interfacing, what are you going to with it?.
What about the dev blogs, almost nothing in the last 2-3 months. Yah sure the occasional im sorry for being absent, but what can the players use that for. What i think is that CCP is putting all of their effort into the China cluster, and leaving all the old customers on hold. And i understand that it is important for CCP, but comeon, dont alleinate your true believers.

I think it's a balancing act between the seriousness of the bugs and the work required to get rid of them. For instance, textures for Amarr ships and stations have been flickering since the dawn of time. I bet they still get multiple bugreports about that every day. The bug has been there forever, people have whined about the bug forever, but it's still there. Why? Appearently the problem is rooted so deeply in the Trinity engine that getting rid of it would require a complete overhaul (yay Kali! ). Perhaps it's the same way with Force Recons?
It all comes down to allocation of resources between the different projects. If the return is too small compared to the work needed and they have bigger, more rewarding things to do, I think I know how things would go.
EDIT: And BTW, IIRC CCP Iceland (our sweet sweet devs) have next to nothing to do with EVE China. It's mostly a company that bought the license to run EVE China that does every thing. And no dev blogs in 2-3 months? WTF?
