Currently on amazon from CCP...
US customers only - 6 x PLEX - $104 = -ú62
UK customers - 6 x PLEX = -ú90
For those bad at math that's a difference of -ú28
This needs reviewing.

I agree wholeheartedly. My misclicking issue has been posted about before and I have failed to address it. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Should have tried harder during the revolutionary war. EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise |

Amazon set their own PLEX prices, not us. We have no control over them.
With regards to the difference in price, Chribba is correct.
In the EU, both Amazon and CCP have to display prices inclusive of VAT, however when we sell in the US, we do not have to display sales taxes that may apply on a State or Federal level., and taxes vary drastically from State to State.

Pretty sure prices on amazon UK include a VAT markup. So if you order from there you are paying VAT. At least that's how things worked when I lived over there. |

Just evade taxes by buying them using an American address, nobody has ever gone to jail for tax evasion. Unfortunately the VAT excuse is bollox as Amazon UK do not pay VAT in the UK on digital purchases. They pay VAT in Luxembourg.
Nor in fact do CCP pay VAT in the UK if you purchase PLEX directly from them. Nor do they pay VAT on monthly subs in the UK.
Anyone want to try some more nonsense excuses for UK peeps being ripped off?
Do try to make more of an effort though, the "tax" excuse has been done to death dozens of times |

Ye it's the same with EVE source, the nonsense you have to pay 20% VAT thats why it's more expensive than US.
well excuse me but the UK has 0% VAT on books so ye thats a lie :P

It was definitely a culture shock for me when I visited the US, and found out that the prices on the shelves wasn't the price you get charged because you add tax after (disclaimer - this was Miami, no idea if that's the same rules everywhere). How do you guys live like that? I'm good at maths, but it seemed really wierd to have to do sums in your head to figure out what you actually are going to be paying. |

Ultimately its market forces - people will pay what they will pay, and if they wont pay, the price will change. Is it fair? Maybe not, but that's life for you. Maybe I'm just jaded, and accepted we pay higher for everything than in the US or mainland Europe, but its not something I let bother me any more. The day it bother me again, is the day I move |

Well, the math is pretty simple. Plus, you just throw everything on a credit card, no one carries cash, so 7 cents on the dollar (where I live) isn't really a big deal. |
