Our first contract has come to fruition. We were contracted to find information regarding ISS, but an oportunity came to take it a step further when we were given directors rights.
Total goods stolen was in the region of 4 billion ISK. The corp wallet, and all of the hangers at all levels were plundered. Four seperate locations were emptied of all goods including low level BPO's, hundreds of frigates and a fair amount of tech 2 gear.
Even after discovery of the "culprit" who was bought from the forums for this purpose, the operator was treated with respect by the people that matter, and was relatively smack free. For that we thank you.
We currently have operational space available. Contact this character for prices and information.

Now, in our defense, I do have to add that Tonnik/InFiLtr8eR only managed to swipe our assets from under our wide-opened eyes by an administrative error - The system we use for access to corporation assets is designed to prevent exactly these situations.
Still, this was a refreshing experience, much better than the usual piracy we get to deal with. Tip, hat, sir, etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Cascade ááááááááiss NAVY |

To answer the question of why was he given access rights... well, it was an admin error, someone checked the wrong box in his titles section. Quite funny, really. And completely our own fault
Congratualtions to the corp thief though, it was well executed and I found this evening to be both enjoyable and enlightening.
The matter has also been fully resolved to everyones satisfaction.

The person who 'ticked the wrong box' simply made a mistake. We're all human. Nothing is happening to them - they offered all their ISK and assets and I declined. We all make mistakes.
And no, I'm not angry about it at all. These things can happen and its all in the game dynamics. Good luck to him.
I'm just annoyed I spent the whole evening sorting it out instead of PvPing!

So I take it you didn't complete your client's contract, and instead chose to grab the juicy prize? Erm, isn't that something you were actively avoiding when you first set out? Great job on building client-customer trust there!

I had exactly the same thing in RL.
I ticked the wrong box and Hay-Presto the bird can now use the Credit Card
I have been offered 46 pairs of boots and 300 new tops as recompence which (due to them not beeing my colour) I refused.

To ISS:
Of course you've probably already considered this, but you must admit its a huuuuuuuge coincidence that this mistake was made, that it was made on the spy in question, and it was made this quickly (time between Subterfuge industries coming out post and now). Regardless of the persons willingness to give up his assets I personally would assume he had to be in on it.
Of course I don't have access to the specifics as you do and I'm 100% paranoid .
p.s. The way ISS have conducted themselves in this post is exemplary. /applaud

god, I mean it isnt like these guys will just carebear that amount of loss back in what, a couple hours, keke. You'd have to hit the "ultimate carebear alliance" a little harder than a few bil to really make a dent.

Still a notable loss though. Imagining for a moment that maybe 500 players in ISS are active participants, and that being middle class in EVE starts at 200M isk, then that's maybe ~4% of ISS's net liquid assets.
Hefty. Like a combat but not t2 fit thorax loss for every member, or a cheap cepter Certainly not the sort of thing you want to happen more than once or twice a month.
I could pvp ten times as much than my current weekender state and I'd still be a carebear though. Whether an org has pvpers in it or not doesn't matter much if the group doesn't put anything significant on the line. I personally don't put much on the line on a day to day basis, but I generally respect those that do.

I had always figured cleaning out the ISS wallet alone would net more than 4bil.
Then again, the corp thief could've stolen 20bil and said it was only 4bil.

LoL.
Let's see, ISS's assets include: 3 (more?) outposts each costing 26 billion+, including one that was GIVEN to them a few weeks ago; much t2 component production and god knows what else.
Stolen goods include: some "low level BPOs," a pile of frigs that no one has probly flown in years, and a few isks.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice haul at 4B. I doubt it put much of a hole in ISS's operations though.
As for what happened to the person who made the mistake: I'm sure someone told him not to do it again.
On a serious note, I am interested in some "low level BPOs" if you have ammo, drones, maybe some ships and mods. Contact me in-game, I'll pay decent rates.

It was not the whole ISS he stole from, it was ISS Navy Task Force
I must say though, i bet the thief was a little shocked to find the key to all the hangars, hehe

Once again, no grief ingame, and none in thread from ISS, thanks for that. To clarify, the operation was against ISSN, rather than ISS itself. It was thought this is a truer attack on the whole rather than on individual corps within the allaince.
ATM there is no such thing as alliance wallets, or hangers that it would be possible to get into, and so your never gonna hit nore than one corperation in an aliance unless they keep all there stuff in one place.
The contracts mandate was simply spying. I'm not gonna divulge what about obviously, and the theft of goods isn't in line with that, however the information requested was found very early and we saw a chance to do further damage. We took it.
Our mandate has always been never to get involved with selling stolen goods etc. Thankfully arangements were made that didn't require us to.
A further clarification, profit made was slightly over 2 billion ISK. Obviously a drop in the ocean to ISS, nevertheless i'm not complaining.
As for the posts regarding it being a setup, well we got lucky. Its not what we came to do, but the oportunity was there. Kinds feel sorryfor the person who made the mistake TBH.
Thanks ISS, and unfortunetly i'm sure we'll meet again.

Actually, just to correct the point, Borealis, Marganis and the Providence project have been publically funded. Several ISS members have holdings within them, but ISS doesn't really own them.

That the ISSN was a target, even if its actually true, its kind of a tribute for the hard work the leadership and its pilots have done lately.

In EON #3 Theres an interview with one of the key people of ISS who said that ISS Outposts are owned by the shareholders and that ISS doesnt have much in its self. Although, one could say that having 10bil is not that much to one who has 300mil IS much.
So, dunno. Just wanted to point that out :O -----------------------------------------------
