This may be a legit question. But I'm not sure about the term Goon squad.
A true newbie asked about the CODE in chat the other day. After some discussion it was decided the CODE was to EVE what salt and pepper are to eggs; not necessary but it sure does add flavor. I suppose the Goons could be considered tabasco or something like that. |

CFC are not Goons. Goons used to be edgy and sometimes funny. The CFC made them fat, boring and middle aged :| This is what having kids does.

You're right, when answering the OP's question in the actual post (i.e. What is the CFC?) was clearly wrong for me, a member of the CFC, to answer. You have given me a lot to think about today.
EDIT: Oh god, if you're not a posting alt it means that someone who couldn't cut it in the Initiative back when they were being terrible is insulting my alliance, how cute!

Goon Squad is the monkier goon communities in other games sometimes take. I think the stand-out Goon Squad was the WoW Goon Squad that was on Mal'Ganis. Don't know or care if they still exist, Goon Squads range from chill, to sperg-tastic, to aggressively terrible in a way that emulates Goonfleet/waffe/swarm.
There are also Starfleet Dentals which are good at griefing in a way better suited to game companies that don't endorse sociopathy as a game feature.
Being exclusionary jerks in video games is what we do. Even if the distinction is purely psychological, it's a powerful placebo, it's generally more fun to play with goons*** than it is with pubbies.

I'm seeing alot of Confusion here..
The CFC are not the Goons.
The Goonswarm was a great thing that got brought down low..
now you have these other allainces claiming to be Goons because they are aligned with them.. Its kinda like claimnig to be in PL when youa re jsut a renter that flies in a few of their fleets >_> |
