If so it's more like the Magellan Clouds than an actual Galaxy
plus CCP are mean, and they only let us play in a tiny part of it anyway  |

a galaxy has billions of stars. Eve has a few thousand. New Eden is a small part of a much larger galaxy, that yes, probably does have black holes in the center.

Perhaps the area EVE inhabits is only part of a galaxy, such as the end of an arm, and there hasn't been much exploration?
Or that we can only visit a certain number of systems, and the Black Hole is of no concern to the Empires
Or it's just a game and we should just be quiet... |

There is a landmark you can view on the star map somewhere in Minmatar space. It is a black hole of some size large enough to be notable. I forget the name, but it starts with a G and has a Minmatar-Nordic sounding name. I can find it when I'm able to get in game.
EDIT: Zaknussem beat me to it. It's called Ginnungagap.
Lot's of people commenting on New Eden not being a galaxy. However you classify it, it's very clearly not part of the Milky Way.
