As far as I see it, ASCN hasn't backstabbed anyone. From the understanding I have of the situation, Tribal was making some damned poor demands of ASCN. Who was in between SE and TS when SE wanted to bite TS's head off? Who defends the entrance to the north of Eso? That's right. We do. So if we're just a little sick and tired of being meatshields and then getting ganked for it, well, war it is. I, for one, have been waiting a month and a bit for this dec to come about.
CRY HAVOK!!!

What would a war with Bob gain ASCN? Lots of ships lost and no long term gain.
What would a war with TS gain ASCN? Fewer lost ships and new territories to relieve overcrowing.
Now if you were playing the game with a long term view rather than as CS in space, which would you do?

What people don't realise is that the talks between our alliances have broken down, Cyvok gets fed up and then goes veld hunting.

So this is like the second time in a month ASCN have joined in on the same side as BoB.
Now both times there has been a reason other than some allied attempt to conquer the universe, but still, if you are in the South I'd be very worried.
