Mine must have been yesterday. A hostile fleet was behind our little ganksquad and the idea was insta to a gate and crossjump them when they entered local. So our whole gang manages to arrive and the gate and jumps... except me in my little Rook who somehow ended up 15-20 km from the gate with not even an AB fitted and surrounded by hostiles. Luckely I had an improved cloaking device fitted so I immediatly cloaked and start moving slowly to a safer distance. I lost count of the people that were as close as 3000m from me. Eventually they jumped trough and I lived yet another day

I had a pretty lucky moment yesterday.
Misunderstood an FC command on TS and jumped into H74 with at least 6 sniping battleships and all their support not too far off the gate... and I was in a geddon.
I managed to get out without losing armor, plus I got back in time to join the fight

lol, which close escape to pick?
on the covert side i once jumped in next to a frig fleet of 20. as they were hostiles i decided to stay and watch em. this means swapping from jump cloak to real cloak. the shotgun effect of 20 frigs flying at ure last know position is insane fun to evade. the force must have been strong with me cos i managed to duck and dive and twist and turn as they flew past me then back again!
my other lucky covert escape was on a run home. i was in a hurry and without insters. i was warping to 15km and mwd'ing at the gates. sure enough i bump into a gate camp. some local pirates who know their stuff with instalock BS's. well, i smiled and happily hit the cloak button. my smile froze as i read the message on screen telling me there was a corpse sitting next to me. on the way to the gate i was trying to whip the mwd some more and hammering on the cloak to freakin work. my ship was bouncing off cans and corpses all the way to the gate. made it thought without a scratch! but it sure got my heart pounding 
the other close escape was in my brutix. i'd just had an indy ganked by a interdictor and decided to go hunting for revenge in an old mission running brutix i had spare. sure enough the dictor was no where to be seen when i finaly get back. so i decide to set up camp on the gate i was killed on. my gf is on her way to meet me in her raven and we hold the gate for a while waiting to see if the pirates return. we swat at a couple of t2 frigs who bail through the gates and all is going well. then the pirates return. well they arnt stupid and arrive in a tempest and a typhoon. ouuuch! t2 howies with t2 close range ammo hurts. so i'm hammering the warp button to a planet with explosions all around me and flames spewing from my ship. its all gets horrible laggy and i pray to god the screen will clear with my pod in warp. phew, the warp bubble surrounds me and i start working on making a safe spot. but something is wrong, there is a big trail of flames through the warp bubble. its my freakin ship! she escaped! had a good laugh in local about that cos we all thought i was down

I found two local hull expander thingies within a 24 hour period. That was nice. That same day I lost two Ferox to LAG in hageken.

I've got two. First was last December when I got lucky in the BPO lottery.
The second was a month or two ago out in P3EN. It was a slow night, and I was running around in my tank-gank raven and looking for stuff to kill. When I jumped into system, I saw that Kinsy from CELES was in there, so I warped to an inline safe and proceeded to scan the other gate. Sure enough, his 'geddon was scanning at that location. Since most of CELES seemed to be offline atm, I figured he probably didn't have an escort, so....
LEEEROOOOY!
I warped in at 15km (and not on insta) to encourage him to engage, locked him up, and proceeded to have a badass fight, which I won with 13% structure and next to no cap left (injector just couldn't keep up with the shield booster).
Needless to say, rather than hang around and pick up the loot with no shields or armor--and only a few hundred structure points--I warped out and safespotted. By the time I was ready to go pick up the loot (back to full shields and at least 75% cap), Kinsy'd already run back into Obe, grabbed a frig, and picked up his can. 
In any case, that was the closest fight I've ever been in. 13% structure ftw!

My closest run in with impending doom was when we were flying about in a cruiser gang in PB, we'd just killed a few peeps and suddenly a massive fleet arrives (think it was F-E, maybe IRON, was ages ago) anyway, we all insta to the gate to jump out, everyone jumps out except me.. session change message - uh oes :/
I'm madly spamming the jump button, 4 3 2 seconds to go just as the entire enemy fleet warps in right on top of me, 1 second, boom I jump out and make it away

A corpmate and I were bimbling around in a Scorp and a Mega. We jump to the next system and run slap into a 6 BS camp.
I insta to the gate, but my corp mate doesn't have that one, so warps to a planet.
I sit on the gate, he arrive at 15km, and sure enough those 6 battleships, all flashing red follow.
Realising he's not going to make it, I turn on jamming. He makes it to the gate, jumps, at which point I realise that there's an aggression timer.
So sit there, under fire for 30 seconds waiting for that gate, clicking clicking clicking.
See my ship go boom, and start swearing, at which point I load in the next system along, with my scorp on 7% structure.

Two days ago I escrowed every ship I own in the game to the wrong char at 00:06.
Yesterday at 23:xx I see wallet flash and a market escrow for 0.0 iskies.
Fortunately it was the "wrong" escrow and att 00:15 when I checked all my ships were neatly wrapped in plastic and in my hangar again :)

I remember just after I got my first megathron, I had it insured, and set it up with all 250's as I couldn't use 425's yet. (this was also before the large gun small ship nerf). anyway, so I head out to some 0.1 system and find a spawn that is four or five cruisers + support. Needless to say that I didn't know how to set up a mega for tanking. (I had one large armour rep with no hardners). I warped out with 17 structure.
Not 17%, 17 hp.

I warped into a belt in my home system, a nice quite place with few people about. Only I found a lot of Harvester drones just drifting in space. Not knowing how long they had been out there I picked them up and waited. No one ever came back to collect them. The belt stayed empty all day.

While running a mission with my Exequror, in WOR space, I warp back to the gate and there are at least ten of them waiting for anyone. (They did the log on trick.)
Anyway, while they were locking on me I gave the command to warp to my safe spot...while forgetting to take auto pilot off. I bet they were suprised to see me warp back.
Warped back to safe spot, taking auto pilot off, and finally made it out of the system.

It's not about escaping, but as a new player I was hunting rats in a 0.6 system close to Jita. One of these guys dropped this missile-guide-thingy I could later sell for 160 mil. Not bad for a 4-week-noob I think.

Mine isn't combat related (although I have had some lucky moments in my ships)
I was thinking about getting into ice mining. I was reading everything I could get my hands on finding out exactly what was involved. It seemed that the Mackinaw was the ship to get. 120 million seemed to be the going rate to get one built.... hey, what is that in the Market. A Mackinaw for 12 million. Wow, am I every glad some people aren't good with decimal places.

A Corp mates best moment was a few nights ago. he wanted to buy a taranis ceptor to use for some PvP to make some money. he didn't have enough money to buy one so i gave him mine to play with till he got the money to get his own. he set it up and took it for a spin in a 0.5 belt to try her out for size.
10 mins later he limps back to station with 10% hull left. he had a true sansha spawn in the belt. the spawn dropped a 180mill implant (forget the name). just when you need some money Eve throws it at ya.. he decided to keep the taranis i gave him and got me a new one as it is now his "lucky" ship...

Probably back when i had my previous character and MF had a contract vs frege- we teamed up with Cosmic fusion for a nice fleet battle- and was lucky enough to get my tempest outta there with like 30% hull :D

Being in a 0.0 war. Getting podded and waking up in home station. Jumped in a ship and headed out to rejoin the fight. Once with the fleet over a dozen jumps away I reliased I had forgotten to update my clone. During the evening I end up floating in my pod again. I make it back to the home station through systems with numerous hostiles and without a full insta set.

I sooo wanted to post something here!
But so far the best I can come up with is, good days and bad days...
Good day = Not getting blow to pieces
Bad day = Getting podded more than 5 times that day
And don't for one second think I'm not having fun! Everyday is an adventure! And I enjoy every second of my game time!
I havn't found any particularly leet loot. I havn't been in a really close battle and won. I have warped out in low structure, but I think everyone has.
