good locations i that high of sec are places where there aren't alot of other people. if people shared their spots, then it'd lose how good it was.
part of the "art" of the thing is finding those systems everyone else overlooks.

If everyone told you where they were and those systems suddenly become overloaded with people also curious, guess what? They aren't good systems anymore. Go find em yourself, it's not that hard.

Just a hint, scout out some of the belts near 0.0 space. IE, the Placid region near Blind has omber in .7's...though the omber is rather quickly swallowed up

Sorry, it has just been officially posted - If you are not a Farmer or macro miner you would not know this - There are no astroids left in .9 - .7 systems. They have all been mined out, and it has been noticed that the farmers are now down to daily mining out the days respawn.
Please excuse my sarcasm, I am just SO SO SO SO tired of every system I visit being full of 1 month 13 days old characters with names like dhsgeu, mememe and such mining in gangs of 8 - 10 with two haulers 23 hours a day and not a single roid left an any ring in the system.
Who are these people - no gang of New Players could be this efficent.

This is why we need a centralized place where people can report suspected miners. I'm sure macrominer-hunters will be more than happy to keep checking this thread or whatever it is on a regular basis and sort 'em out. Profits for them, benefits the true miners and CCP doesn't even have to get involved either although reporting them would also be preferred

Channel macrointel does that.
Problem is, farmers evolve, canswitching works less and less. Apart from liberating ore as they mine, and/or canswitching, and then blowing up their ore, there is nothing we can do.

I can't believe that CCP is not capable of seeing what this is doing to the game - Sure these people are "playing the game" and there is nothing that CCP can do to them. However they are "playing the game" 23 hours a day 7 days a week. There is no player interaction, there is no corporation membership - just a grinding pace of constant mining. I say they are not here to "play the game" and what they are doing is making the game a miserable experience for a lot of other players. I just happen to be one of the 257 who have been here and constantly training since day one. The game has been fun, frustrating and constantly challenging with continual change. I am still here long after many have quit and walked away and I have no intention of leaving. That is the reason that this concerns me so; with this type of wholesale gang mining going on is there anything left for the true new player to get started with in the field to mine? Where are all of the refined minerals from all this mining going? Look at any market they are certainly not up for sale, not in the quantities I would expect to see. I have been forced to move out to lower and lower security systems just to find some Veld to mine, once again, not complaining, but wondering if I have to be in a Hulk to mine Veld, how is that new player in a Valator doing? I could go on and on with concerns here and wild speculations, but that is now my way. I prefer to politely ask CCP to take a closer look at this and see what it is really doing to the game and the real intention of these new ôplaying the gameö gangs.
So I leave my words to fall on responsive or deaf ears. I have said them let then fall where they may.

as a new player i have found semi decent mining in the funtananian system(or whatever its called). for a new miner its pretty good seeing as it kicks up a decent amount of veld, scord and pyroxeres. all this and 0.6 systems close by for the rarer ores like plagioclase. but yes i agree it is frustrating when every now and again i arrive at theses belts to find them totally mined out. only yesterday i was doing a bit of travelling to pick up some skills and a couple of shield generators and to get them i had to enter 0.6 space, so i thought i would do a spot of mining while i was there and then just go home with whatever i have in my cargo hold. all the belts consisted of about 5 veldespar roids and about 200 anchored containers.........gutted.

You should look on the map for off Route Solar Systems. Go check them out and mine there.
Tip: Head Elgoi way.

When I look for a high security mining location, these are the criteria I look for:
1) A system with no stations in it, no one mines these 2) A system with one planet with lots of belts atleast 15 AU from a gate that leads to a system that has a good refinery 3) A system that is in a closed off part of space, not a commonly used route that people pass through 4) A system with a .6 or .5 nearby if i need to mine up some isogen yielding roids and don't feel like going too far
with proper use of Bookmarks, if your mining belts are all around the same planet, and atleast 15 AU or so from the gate, one BM will take you to within instant jump range from any of those belts
hauling is not bad at all if you are proficient at making and using bookmarks. Making money in Eve is all about efficiency, finding the best way to make the most ISK for the time you are on. Mastering using bookmarks is a big part of getting yourself as efficient as possible.
Side note, with the addition of freighters and other means to move massive amounts of cargo relatively easily, you might be able to find a system that has no stations with refineries in them that have good mining potential, if you have corpmates/friends that can move the ore to a refinery, and don't need the mins immediately.
