What do you people not understand, it has been said over and over and even mentioned in this thead.
THERE GOAL IS NOT FUN/FIGHTS, THERE GOAL IS TAKE YOUR REGION.
Guess what, the way it looks they have done that. |

To the OP:
Are you telling me that ASCN have 200 pilots in system 23/7 ? Their numbers NEVER drop to less, even 1 minute before or after downtime ?
If you can get even only 40 battleships in system, it's enough to make the pants wet of any dread pilot.

When your home system is in siege and your worried about ship losses..you have already lost the war.
Keep jumping in ships as many as possible and get to safe, eventually you will have enough pilots in local to do something.

EC- bob packed 600 people into system.. it was effectivly locked down. Even if someone could ralley 600 people.. The current game mechanics can not handle a jump in.. or even a battle of that magnitude yet. So therefore.. EC- Fell with basicly no battle.
FYI BOB did not packed EC it was a joined op by bob/ ASCN /[5]/FE . And there weren't constantly 600 peeps in that system. I doubt that ASCN has 200 peeps constantly 23/7 fighting you

Yes, whine on the forums about it, that'll show them who's boss....

Right there you are showing a complete lack of knowledge concerning the facts, BoB had nothing like 600 pilots there. The actual makeup was close to these numbers...
100+ Bob 100ish [5] 300+ ASCN Some FE approx 40 Others
619 was the highest number reached in system throughout the siege. |

Paragon soul now. ASCN 200+ Pilots Plus capital ships.. Pending Tribes could muster 200 pilots to Even the odds.. The server cant handle it and it would crash and burn.
So therefore.. Its a mute point to even try and Fight someone that has you outblobed enough so that you dont even think to fight back.
Winning wars with no battles..
Must seem like fun huh :/
take in mind... ASCN might have 200 pilots working in paragon to lockdown the place so they can take all the stations...
what happens when those pilots want to return home and the people you put in paragon soul to "live" have to require a perma military force because.. well you really cant get rid of the people who lived there before you because you never got them to fight... they are simply laying in wait untill your big Hoot and Ha parade of a huge blob goes away..
The story will continue on..
I disagree that there is any "i win" button for a single battle because of how reinforced mode works. You do not need even numbers to counter someone attacking your pos's. All it requires is the right combination of a good pos setup, lots of interdictors, a few carriers, and a good battleship fleet.
When hostile dreads are attacking your pos's the place to make your stand is before they get them in reinforced mode. If they successfully get them in reinforced mode your done. If you can keep the hostile dreads at your pos with interdictor bubbles untill they run out of stronth you have a very good chance of killing their dreads allowing you to keep the rest of your pos's and win the battle. This does not require that you out blob them. It just requires that you play it smart.
Now if your enemy can keep there assult up on a permanent basis and you can not continue to put up this type of defense then perhaps they deserve the region more than you. If they have 200ppl to constantly populate a system while you only have a handfull then shouldnt they get it?
Finite siege mode durations + pos's being unkillable untill they come out of reinforced mode means you have all the time in the world to kill their dreads as long as you have the interdictors to keep them bubbled. Doesnt matter if they bring 4 dreads or 40.
This particular game mechanic makes eve more so than ever ballanced against against a hostile force bringing in a 1 day show off fleet to capture a region. Who ever has the most staying power will win a system siege if both sides play it properly. This is how it should be.
So WTS - T3 tissue to anyone complaining about blobs.
The best example for this was teh G/Iron assault on the HUN Pos in D7 at XI - 11...
G/I had about a fleet of 150 , all gates are boubbled and system totaly locked. 5 and FE had to work with what we had in local that time. It was a 15 5. and 10 FE BS fleet with a few ceptors and a covert. And of course , the most important, a POS wich was correctly fitted for COMBAT!
The POS never went to reinforced (8 dread was shooting it) and G/I lost a dreadnought. The 25 BS deffended the POS succesfuly while the POS got 25+ kills
Was a realy fun fight. Even if you consider we was the deffenders that time.
- POST WITH YOUR MAIN!
This post is my personal opinion. It does not represent the standpoint of the DICE Corporation. |

You managed that because we ****** up in a number of ways. We know what we did wrong. Something similar might happen again for someone else but we will never put ourselves in that same position again and next time it will get into reinforced. ---

i think that shows the difference in attitude toward pvp that most alliances have compaired to most real pvp corps. for me personally its all about the fun, i couldnt give a **** about taking over a region or anything like that, i just want fun fights. win or loss isnt really that importaint.
it is a game after all, it should be about fun

I think the point that Balasz is making is that thinking that you need even or anywhere close to even numbers to counter an attack is a complete myth. Yes you can counter an uber blob attacking your pos's and no you dont need to match their numbers to do it. |

blobbing isn't the new i-win button, it's just the same old i-win button.

This is gonna work untill big alliances can build a titan or two, then they can just jump fleets in straight to a friendly POS.
