Any type of SPY MMORPG game. Think about it... its the genre of game that hasn't been turned into a MMO and has the typecasting to be probably the simplest implementation and synergy with the whole quest based genre.
Now I don't want to see a Mission Impossible liscense but a Splinter Cell or Syphon Filter would be great.

Just rip the general WoW idea and create on planet worlds where you can move around and mine, rat and PvP. Same factions, storylines etc so no fantasy crap. And you can shard for every planet. Pherhaps use eve-online to link up with resources.
And we wanna have it tommorrow please, not soon(tm). |

Would be intersting to see them do Fallout (1997) like mmorpg. ------------- Don't drink and drive, logon to EVE and fly. |

Originally by: vanBuskirk Vampire the Masquerade as a MMORPG. Dark (literally! ) bloody and nasty, with plenty of intrigue and lots of space for roleplaying - in fact RPing would be compulsory.
Of course it would have a limited player base, as it would have to be 18-rated...
I SO agree!! If they made V:tm I would cry tears of joy. That setting and the Fallout setting is my two favorites.. (Even though i used to play and GM V:tm pen and paper, and of course Fallout 1 and 2 are Computer Games)
Fallout is allready being made by the company that has Oblivion, so that dream has sort of come true (although i wanted a MMO of the Fallout universe..), so that only leaves a PROPER computer game of Vampire the Masquerade..
Preferably multiplayer, but ill settle for a good single player one that doesnt get rushed like Bloodlines did.. :)

If I don't get my zombie game I could settle for one with vampires I guess.

A real-physics space mmog. Sure, throw in some way to go long distances (wormholes, warp gates, whatever), but I'd love to see combat with real physics, projectiles that actually travel in space, ships having a max acceleration instead of speed, information only travelling at the speed of light (except for a mail system, which could use the wormhole system), etc.
I'll actually give you my first-born if you do this, ccp.

Standard fantasy MMORPG with a twist! EVE online style single shard with a player driven economy and the familiar skill system we all know and love. The beauty of the eve online skill system is that you can do whatever you want, rouges neednt be frail, warriors neednt be slow, mages neednt be weak. You can be whatever you want to be if you have the time to do it. Less focus of skilling or leveling means much much more focus on industry, pvp, trading and interaction.
A fantasy MMORPG with no grind? sign me the **** up.

I would like an a mix of planetside, mechwarrior, eve, GTA with some silly sub games in the mix for when you want a break. Such as racing planetary vehicles around on space stations....or even creating your own 'stuff' to do, yey!

Edited by: Sul Sonic on 26/05/2006 03:33:49 The should make a 1 player PREQUEL to eve, like be one of the explorers who first discovers this place, or maybe right when the gate closes.
yeah, a prequel would own.
--edit- oh, and also we would have to see people who would eventually end up as the 5 major civilizations, caldari, amarr, gallente, jovian, and minmatar. ------------------------------------------- dvorak is the best keyboard layout ever. I use it, and so does your guy in EVE. Yeap, it was in one of the chronicals. |

A great advance on Eve would be a space empire game where almost all the in game content was researched, designed and manufactured by the player base.
Hence the game would provide you with all the rules and mechanics, all the basic resources, and a hidden tech tree system.
Balance would be the difficult part, and I suspect that the Devs would have to keep adjusting the speed of research, etc, to stop a run away race to the top.

If CCP did half a good a design and follow though, plus Dev interaction of there Devs with a Star Wars MMO, I would sign up in an instant. I am a HUGE star wars fan, but I should have left when DiLune and Garvin told me to. :( SOE simply sucks at dev interaction, balancing, followthrough, and consistancy.

Freespace 3 or a proper Mechwarrior MMO.
...and yes, we do sell and deliver ammo. 425 Express Delivery is available upon request, please see Hans Gates and Marcus Grisbius regarding this option. |

The problem with any starwars based game is that Lucas is now focused on screwing as much money from that dying franchise so he can build a pyramid to bury his bloated ego under.
The royalties demand for starwars games take all the money that could have been used to make that game good.
And the Starwars universe is almost impossible to balance - as everyone wants to be a jedi, and no one wants to be faceless stormtrooper # 145697248 who can't shoot straight.

Can't remember if this is being done or was at one time, but I always thought the idea of a Lovecraft-based mmorpg set within the Cthulhu mythos would be different.
