Two years ago it was a Rotherham lass who was pregnant at 11. She named five men as potential fathers, but none of their DNA matched. ________________________________________________

I think that last bit shows how ****** up society is. Anyone who's proud of their kid for getting done at 11 should be shot.

Yes.
I'm just making a point that we all have different value structures and beliefs. If the girl is really excited, then good on her and she should have all the support possible. ______________________

God I could go on and on and on. I feel sorry for the girl, hatred for her parents, sadness for the boy, and most of all pity for the unborn child :/

And you'd generally be right, but this story involves a person - the baby - whose opinion is unknown, and the state, and/or society generally, has a moral duty to consider what's best for the baby.
It's generally accepted that having a 12-year-old mother is not best for them. ________________________________________________

A "drunken night out" probably doesn't mean ALL night. Still, you have a point. But since it's illegal to barricade your child into her bedroom, and it's illegal to assault them, you actually cannot stop them from going out at night, even though it's your responsibility to do so.
Quote: 3. Why the hell does the 11 year old have access to alcohol outside of the home? 4. Why the hell does the 15 year old have access to alcohol outside of the home?
Legally, they don't. Illegally, it's so easy to get alcohol (or cannabis, or hard drugs, or whatever takes your fancy) that even a six year old wouldn't have a major problem.
Quote: 5. Why is the boy being charged with *****when they are both too young to legally have sex?
It's only a crime to have sex with an underage *girl*. This is a crime even if the girl is 15 and the boy is 10. The law dates back to the time when women were property, not people, and didn't have opinions or wills of their own. It's long overdue to be changed.
Quote: 6. Why is the girl still living with her parents when they have proven completely incapable of looking after her?
I imagine she won't be, now this story is out. But I could well be wrong; letting your child get pregnant at 11, and drink herself into unconsciousness, and smoke, is not "being incapable of looking after her." Giving her a slap on the shoulder for trying to shack up with a teenage lad, however, is, and would have her taken away from you in zero time flat.
Go figure.
Quote: 7. Why is the mother still allowed to breed?
I don't think compulsory sterilization is on the statute books yet. I'm beginning to think it should be.
Quote: 8. Why does the girl have access to 20 cigarettes a day? 9. Who is supplying the girl with 20 cigarettes a day?
See (3. and 4.) It'd be a waste of time even trying to find out who is the supplier, because if you jail one supplier, ten more will spring up to fill the gap in the market.
Quote: 10. Why are they putting the girl through the emotional traumor of having to cope with pubity, school and raising a child?
Well, you can relax on that one. She'll be spared the "trauma" of going to school and getting an education - who needs one when you're just going to spew out kids for the next ten years and get about a thousand dollars a week in state benefits?
Quote: 11. Why is the girl still smoking when pregnant?
It's not illegal. It probably should be - smoking in a place that can affect another person is rapidly becoming outlawed - but we haven't got that yet.
And if you meant - which I don't think you did - why is she being so irresponsible as to do so ... hello? She's 11 and pregnant. Exactly how responsible did you expect.

off licenses - though i must admit, 11 is still younger than i'd really expect. I probably wasn't much older when i first got off my face off my own back though - 12 or 13, and i'm a civilised human being... honest.

See answer to 3 and 4
Originally by: Sarmaul 10. Why are they putting the girl through the emotional traumor of having to cope with pubity, school and raising a child?
She has a legal obligation to go to school, she didn't have a choice about puberty (as far as i know), and she chose to keep the child

As pointed out above - it's not a crime for an underage girl to have sex with an underage boy. It's only a crime the other way around.

First off, I have a problem with morals and here's why:
moral# adjective: arising from the sense of right and wrong
Right and wrong implies that someone is making a judgement - in this case state and/or society. Yet for something to be absolutely right or absolutely wrong in all situations, you would have to have an absolute judgement. Your judgement or state/socitey's judgement is based on a point of view. The soon to be mother is basing her feelings on her point of view. I still don't see how a "generally accepted" belief makes something "right" in the absolute. Absolute judgement dicates a supreme being capable of making this judgement in impartiality - traditionally a diety.
I may be wrong but, unless you're a diety, it's just my point of view. ______________________

I'm glad to see where my income tax will be going for the next 18 years (at least, until the little bastard can claim benefits him/herself).
Bring in means testing and child lisencing tbh.
I hate chavs, I bet the 34-year-old mother of six has barely worked a day in her ******* useless waste of a life, she's just a deep black plughole where money goes that could be used to improve life for those who deserve it.
Death is the loss of hope, everything else is merely despair.

raven, people find it wrong morraly bmainly because this sort of thing is illegal! thats right your not allowed to make a kid pregnant, its just not legal! also the 11 year old girl doesn'r obviously understand the responsability of having a baby and the sheer impossibility or raising it correctly at the age of 11, i can bet that this girls mum will be left to look after it, and it will most likely lead the same sort of life as its mother. a baby needs to be brough up in a stable home in a stable situation, being raised by someone who isn't even in there teens, is NOT stable. the only person who will suffer the most is the baby. -------------------------------------------------- [INSIN]erate you foes
