As of the update with this junk on the POS changes in high sec I will be leaving this game. It is the worst idea and thing CCP can do to us. They are handing the game over to Goons. If you not in Goons opr a goonie pet forget about being able to ever do research on any expensive original blueprint again with out buying off every 2 bit ganking corp in high sec from goons. I will be droping all of my toons and accounts. Also will recommend to all my corp members they do the same and all my alliance members. I will dissolve my corp the day the changes go into effect. Also will post this on facebook and other forums with the recommend NOONE stay at this game if the change done. And will recomend all people find a new sandbox to play in. |

All because you wanted something risk free? If you are using a pos to research or copy a BPO, it should actually have to be at the POS. I can't read a book thats across the room and closed. Safe inside of the my invulnerable bookshelf. |

There are no particular POS changes in highsec, though, junk or otherwise, nor is anything being handed to the goons.
So the question is: why are you trying to ruin the game for everyone and hurt the work of real people just because you had a bad dream?

Agreed, nerf high-sec.
The alternative to being a goon pet is to be a PL pet or a NC. Pet. have you considered being one of those if slavery to the Goonion is not for you? Or the Jove forbid, have you considered rising to the challenge and building an organization that can give goons a fight?

pretty simple really the changes are a joke which is pretty much in favour of anyone who loves ganking pos's. I think the whole "its has to do with goons" thing is due to certain rumors flying around about their connections with RvB leadership and the pointing of them towards poco's to keep control on when they were released into the game.

So you are complaining because what? you have to have blue prints stored in a pos that is doing research which you already have deployed mot likely, can do the jobs remotely (as long as they are in the pos) have a timer with enough warning to gt an alt into the shield, pull out the bp's, and warp the hell off before it pops...

As an avid and fairly experienced Hisec industrialist, I can honestly say that these changes don't really look like a nerf to me at all. In fact, I may just resub a few accounts to get funky with that sexy new UI.

actually, according to the latest dev blog--no more standings requirements to throw up a tower.

to clarify--yes, Hi Sec is being changed. No, it doesn't favor goons any more than it does any other highly organized group.

It should reduce the clickfest that is the current Manufacturing part of Industry. Haven't really dicked around with research in a while but should help with that, too.
From what it looks like, in the top part of the screen you'l be able to drag/drop blueprints, and scroll through all of your jobs and have far more information about each job than currently exists.
So I'd say it's better. It's too early to say it's *leagues* better, but it looks better than what we have now.
It only took CCP 11 years :D |

The worst bit was where they made the changes apply only to you and not to any of your competitors.
FFS we haven't even got all the changes yet. Yet alone seen how the huge number of industrialists will react.
You can still research in stations and in fact will be able to without waiting now. Copying in particular will have zero wait time and will be faster so you can take a cheap copy to your POS.
I will await the details, then try and second guess others reactions and market movements and THEN see if i even need to change how my manufacturing char operates. From the changes announced so far i am guessing "not at all". Although i may need to scout out some moons if it turns out i will need a POS.
We will see.
anyway instead of crying over every little thing i offer this plan.
1. Read the changes.
2. Wait for details.
3. Think about what it means.
4. Think how others might react.
5. Plot how best to take advantage.
6. Profit.
I assure you it is far better than your plan.

If the changes about POS anchoring are coming to real... I will be partying with my friends for one whole night because my stupid level 4 missions grinding for standings will finally come to an end and I will have the tower that I bought a year ago floating in space finally
Damn stupid faction standing mechanics bought the tower when I first joined the game and was excited "OMG ME GOING TO GET MY OWN STATION IN SPACE YAAAAAY"... then... "WTF is FACTION STANDING??   "
Other than this, I'd wait on more details and I'll wait to see the changes come to real then judge them all.

The first time I learned that you can leave a BPO (or BPC) at a station while using a POS, I was confused. Did they station make a temporary copy and transport that to the POS? Why no do the same with all the other requirements? Made no sense to me. Usefull yes, but logical?
So the BP change is fine with me. It will increase costs because you'll want to use BPC's for expensive contruction or research.
High-sec pos being anchorable without standings? I'll have to see about that. I feel for those who grinded their standings. Lowsec had a small buff due to this, that is now being eroded a bit imho.
I dont really know what Goons have to do with this tho. If they feel the need to express their n00biness by spending massive amounts of time in h-sec, well.... why not now? If you're worried about them defending their upcoming nullsec production facilities by killing the competition, use a middleman (alt) to obscure your production-line from your marketselling.
As far as unsubbing goes; nobody cares. Nothing personal, but try to remain mature and leave the threats for your parents. |

Put "expensive" BPO in blockade runner.
Alt flies BR with navigation 5 & Evasive Maneuvering 5 an Eifyr & Co Rogue 'navigation' NN-605 in head.
BR has clocking device and all lows filled with nano fibers, rigged with Hyperspatial velocity optimizer II and Polycarbon engine housing II (my god who thinks of these names?). Before undocking you made days ago a safe undock BM with shuttle or anything fast 500-1000 KM from undock. Flying with both hands on the wheel you should be nearly uncatchable.
Move blockade runner to 1.0 a near empty high sec system with station that has research slots.
Put BPO in.
Profit?
