Some drone changes
Be able to see status of drones in bay. Sucks to have 20 drones of a kind and not knowing which one of them just got damaged after retrieving them.
Fix drone grouping. There is no point in having the groups/squads that are in bay expanded today. Since you cant mix types and you cant see how damaged they are. Therefore i would like to see groups/squads that are going from space to bay to be minimized to take as little space as possible(You only care where the squad is and how many are in it, when it goes back into the bay for obvious reasons) When a group of drones is going into space, you will most likely want to see its status, so groups/squads going into space should be expanded by default.
Bookmarks in Overview or atleast as brackets in space.
I thought this was planned to be implemented, but i never saw anything of it.
Null Sec Local must be fixed.
Its not minor by a long shot but ill throw it in. How about a code based system for Local. Some military ships today use encrypted code transmissions to verify as friendly vessels and that could be emulated in Eve with great effect.
Codes could be entered by anyone with cryptographic clearence in every corporation and alliance or the pilot could have a list of keys on his own. You as a player could decide which key to broadcast (or not broadcast at all) but not what the keys are themselves (to hinder spies getting a authenitcated key and portraying as friendlies).
The local should be revamped to show the number of people broadcasting correct code, unknown(not broadcasting) and people broadcasting wrong code.
If someone broadcasts a key that is either in your corp, alliance or player database, said player will show in local as usual when they jump in. Should a player turn of broadcasting all together, then they will not show in local for anyone. Unless they a) use the directional scanner b) use scan probes c) Get spotted by an enemy If this happends, they will be anonymous, but visible in the list (as a black face or something, and named Unknown)
If someone is broadcasting the wrong code, they shall immedeately on entry of system be shown in local as a unknown, and when spotted by someone be revealed for everyone in alliance/corp/etc.
Why would this be cool? It would be cool, because it allows a spies to have more impact on the game as well for more covert operations to be had. It opens for more human error and more dynamics in null-sec warfare.
Fleet commanders can chose to not broadcast their codes, which means the entire fleet can move larger distances without being picked up by their enemy. However, he cant see his own people in system-local himself, so better teamwork is required and better organization. If someone forget to turn it off, the jig is up. One wrong code transmission in local will alert the residents.
A spy who is able to get crypto clearence in a corp or alliance can retrieve codes and transport them(physically) to neuts or reds who can in turn implement said key and fly as blue until they decide to hotdrop someone or get spotted by residents.
A fleet can warp into a system, get to a safe without being spotted. Then a single ship can scan and find targets concealing their own numbers before the fleet turns on broadcast to be able to warp to fleet members again. Residents would **** bricks. |
