The bestower is one of the best highsec ore thief ships. I've killed many stupid covetors, ospreys and retrievers with this setup (for some reason, they always underestimate an industrial). You can make millions from tech 2 strip miners, ransoms and, of course, ore/ice.
Highs:
1x Medium Pulse Laser I w/ Multifrequency S
1x Small Nosferatu I
You can use blasters/autocannons, but I prefer lasers. With the right skills, it's even possible to fit a medium autocannon/hybrid 80MW weapons. If you feel adventurous in highsec, you can also fit a smartbomb instead of NOS.
Mids:
2x Small Capacitor Booster I (fill your large cargo hold with Cap Booster 150 charges)
1x Warp Scrambler I
1x Stasis Webifier I
Lows:
2x Small Armor Repairer I
2x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I
This gives you about 1000 armor with 45% average resists and a repair rate equivalent to 1 medium armor repairer. In other words, you've got a cruiser-level tank you can sustain essentially forever because your hold is full of cap booster charges.

I tried a similar setup against a friend a long time ago. Change up the Nos for a Neut, since you've got the cap for it. Good stuff :)

I prefer a NOS because nos are so common these days. It's simply there to counter someone else's nos.

Im not a warpcorestab fan at all, but why not fit 4 stabs and just warp out with a instadock. after that undock again and check another belt, than wait for 15 mins while 8X agro corps cool off a bit

hang on let me get this right, you steal ore and you can shoot the ppl you steal from, or do they have to shoot you first?

They have to shoot you first but I think the point of the OP is that a barge with drones for defense sees silly Bestower pull up to steal their can and attack the Bestower assuming that they certainly can pop a lowly industrial. Surprise is on them.
If the miner does not retaliate though then the Bestower pilot gets free ore (although with a hold full of cap charges probably not much ore).

I would never do this to regular players, but for the macro-miners, I'll do it gladly. I intend to try this out this weekend, and report back. =)
