Life is tough for those guys that have got their sec status below -5.0
How about they lose a little of that penalty when someone pods them in "secure" empire space i.e. 0.5-1.0?

No :/ Then all the outlaws [Wich I am one] Would just charge into secure space to get podded over and over. At the moment it is really hard to raise sec I would like that the 0.0 battleship spawns give a bit more sec increase but thats about it. If you do the crime do the time.

Perhaps they shouldn't have knowingly lowered their sec status if it was going to be an issue for them? Just a thought.

I think that you should get sec stat increasements for every npc that you kill, not the best one every 15 minutes, its the same for losing sec stat.. you lose it for every crime you commit.

It's not hard to raise sec. I went from -7.8 to -1.8 in under a week from npcing 3 hours a day, corpmates of mine have gone from -9.x to -1.5 in a similar amount of time.

There is no reason to goto 0.5-1.0 unless it's for empire war. Any item or ship you need minus a few huge ships that can't be carried over by anything but a frieghter. You can setup missions to be carried over. I've never had one not done by a pilot as well not taken more than a day to get to the station I needed.
Yeah the sig is really good btw maz :)

Edited by: Tenacha Khan on 20/05/2006 14:03:05 if you have been playing for more than a month i dont see the need of going to hi sec at all.
And empire wars will ultimatly bore pirates, then you will wish you never got your sec up in the first place

Reality: Low sec forces cooperation and reinforces interdependence within Outlaw groups. This is a more than equal exchange for Jita to a typical pvper.
Ideal: It would be interesting if more dangerous actions were incumbent upon spacetravel. Like needing fuel or infrastructure or knowing the right people. One might be able to pirate and evade authorities for a time, but it would be interesting if one generally had to slip by them periodically in order to continue operating, or at least be supplied by others. Breakdown of parts would also be helpful to constraining actions without networks. So long as there are networks, there will be repercussions for actions.
I would rather see high sec planets or high sec belts, systems and locations rather than high sec "systems." I would like to see vessels rather than pilots get marked for security action for a prolonged period of time. This would allow a lot more bounty hunting although at the onset there would be a good deal of slaughter until the playerbase adapted. I would like to see more vehicle identification numbers rather than pilot IDs.

I find it much easier to go from -10 to 0.0 now than it was 6 months ago. The best way to go about doing it is to pay an alliance to let you rat in their space until you can go back to empire.

gaining sec is easy, -10 to -5.0 can be done very very fast, -5 to 0.0 takes a while longer but thats nothing when u put your mind to it, plus you be rich when your done img84.imageshack.us/img84/235/k3ndy2nc.jpg[/img]

I wish they would lift the restrictions on travel. It would make the game a bit more interesting. Life would still be secure in high-sec, even for noobs, it's only when they decide to engage the target would they be in any more threat.
I suppose it would be too confusing, at least for nooblets, to say, "if you are in 1.0, the person must have a -2.0 or worse before you can shoot him." with the math involved; a way to make this simple is to make the person blink red like -5.0 or aggro. So then you can just tell nooblets, "if they are blinking red, you can shoot them if you dare." If you have a -2.0 or worse and jump into a 1.0, you blink red, if you are in a 0.9 you're OK. The current rules not even need be modified, if the blinker aggros, he get's CONCORDOKKENED, if he's attacked, he can protect hisself... etc.
"What about the day old n00blets that are probably still listening to the CON girl and captivated by her sexy voice?" What if a blinker convinces a whole group of n00blets to attack him legally just so he can wipe them all out?
Well, I don't know what to say about that. Currently, we have pirates convincing noobs to steal something from their cans so they may be attacked. And, unlike the non-n00bs, the nooblets get to see a warning before they engage, which most of us probably turn off after some time.
Not to mention, I doubt very many x-mas trees (those that blink red), will dare to solo jump into a 1.0 major hub, becuase there are probably a bazillion Ishtars, battleships of non-noobs on the other side that would totally pwn the poor pirate. So, all in all, I think 1.0 will still be just as secure as before and make life more interesting for pirates and non-pirates alike.

Some good ideas here. Too bad about the overview bug, though.
I think pirates should be able to go wherever, but until they can, I've got alts. ---

Too easy to raise sec status already.
I've always thought CONCORD should engage in asset seizure if someone with a low enough status comes into empire. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
