EVE Online: Rubicon 1.4 has been published on April 28th, 2014.
This release mainly focuses on a slew of bug fixes and minor tweaks as we approach Fanfest 2014, along with all of the information that will be revealed there!

Please use this format for reporting any issues in this thread:
- Description of problem, the more verbal the better
- Hardware info (Mac model, GPU, CPU, RAM etc.)
- OS version
- Step by step guide to what causes the issue
- Step by step guide to any workaround that has resolved the issue for you

We have found a bug which could explain these crashes. It is audio-related, and we hope to have a fix out on TQ asap. It might be worth trying to disable audio until then, as a workaround. |

We are working on this, on it does seem to be specific to Mac OS 10.7.5 with an AMD video card.
We do have an inhouse repro for once, but since this only manifests on this very specific setup it might take a while to find a good workaround.
We're doing our best to find a fix as soon as possible, but if you can upgrade your Mac OS please do.

We're doing our best to find a fix as soon as possible, but if you can upgrade your Mac OS please do. Is this occurring on OSX 10.8.X? I can NOT upgrade to Mavericks without having to invest in new hardware for an audio studio, but I can probably upgrade to mountain Lion.
The only repro we have in-house is on the 10.7.5. We have tried on 10.8 without seeing the issue. |

I just tested a fix for these issues and it looks good. It should be with you all after downtime today. I'd really like to hear about how the update checks out from your side, if you could take some time to update this thread with how well it works out I'd really appreciate it!

Wasn't sure at first as I didn't see a patch download in. But I spawned, warped in, and was able to dock up with no issue. Now I'm autoing around for a little bit just for kicks and grins.

We think we've sorted this one particular issue, but are still fielding occasional comments and data on the crash.
If you are affected, and bypass the launcher to get into the game, the patch process will likely not succeed before the error occurs. To avoid that happening, use the launcher to patch and then proceed as usual.
Sledge would be popping on to say this himself, but he's being fanfested just now. |

This was super helpful for narrowing down additional instances that are generating the crash. It's a bit of a trick to isolate what's causing the issue when it happens on some systems and not on others, so the more detail about specific activities and hardware that you all provide, the easier we zero in on the offending code.
We should have a more comprehensive fix for this particular issue shortly, and will then tackle the next in this never ending battle for quality. Until then, temporarily avoiding the Show Info 3D Previewer seems prudent. |
