I'l be there this time, in pink! (Long story...)
Which brings me to my question: What's the legal age to drink in Iceland?

18, Elve. So you better wait 5 more years
But will be nice seeing you after all this time...

For all you in the UK, Expedia.co.uk has a 3 night stay and flights from Gatwick at ú276. That doesn't include FF entry and meals and such but I suspect it'll still be a lot cheaper then 500 Euro!!

Legal drinking age in Iceland is 20, not 18 (which is what it is in the UK)

Does that include beer? because here in the netherlands you can have beer when you are 16. for the stronger stuff you have to be 18

There are no 'levels', it's either all or nothing in Iceland. Until you're 20 you can't have it, when you're 20 you can have all you want.

Edited by: Niccolado Starwalker on 05/07/2006 09:11:08 I feel that something terribly will happend at CCP tomorrow, like... totall hampster strike! or something just as horrible.. like running out of Icelandic Bree!
That is unless Fanfest info are released ofcource!!
Because even hampsters are looking forward to the fanfest! Then they will see the CEO and the CCP devs running the threadmill to keep the thirsty players well drunk and happy on Iceland

You get to meet other pilots in nature, talk to a dev or 15, see Reykjavik, see Reykjavik at night including the bars and clubs all within a few minutes from each other. Oh, and there's normally quite some intersting stuff going on, DevChats, music, entertainment, tournaments, a peek into the future of EVE, ...
To bad ccp moved out of the center a bit ... They used to have their HQ jsut a few steps from the Grand Rokk. And we'll probably miss the airwaves festival, but that depends on the finalized date. --*=*=*--

Originally by: kieron There was a meeting today between some of the CCP staff and a representative from Iceland Air. There are some more logistics to work out, but we are hoping for an announcement within the next week, including an extension for (and new) early bird discounts.

This seems to be another week like the one announced in post #30 in this thread. Icelandair didn't change their offer yet. It still costs as much as the Airwaves Festival package. It still doesn't include the FanFest itself. --*=*=*--

Tachy - you sure about that. I just went ot the Fanfest page and clicked the Germany link (E499) Fanfest Page Linkage
And checked both the airwaves package and the Fanfest Package, and the Fanfest package is 100euros cheaper. Honest ------------------------------------------------- AWMCorp is Recruiting

I - REALLY - have to ask..
The hotel room which will be included in the package, is it a shared deal, so you have to share the room with other people? Or is to for you alone?
The reason why I ask is when checking the rates at the Hotel Nordica Reykjavik It gave a price like 230 euro for one night at the hotel in a single room and 256 for a double...

The 230 euro a night is an applied single occupancy rate I beleive. As in for only 1 person using the room it costs you more. Not quiet sure how they work that one out tbh, I presume it's somethig to do with only one person buying food than 2. ------------------------------------------------- AWMCorp is Recruiting

I dunno. But they do state that the price is per night and per room. Not as in how many people who lives there.

Unless the Nordica changed their rooms, you'll have a room for two all for yourself. At least that's what they did at the FanFest04. Their restaurant is very good, the rooms are ****, the view is nice too, either seaside or towards the inland. And they have Pizzahut right there too (If you need pizza ... but generally the quality of food in Reykjavik is very good, along with the prices) Downside: The ccp HQ is about 40-50 minutes away on foot. --*=*=*--
