u cant just blame away ur bad behavour with a sorry. people make mistakes becouse they are human and depending on the mistake they will somehow have to pay for it.
and personaly i would never write down a story aboud my personal life on a forum of a video game...
this is so lame...
its also not fair to others who might get banned/punished for the same reason.
maybe they had bad circumstances to. but they where not having a big name in the community and there for no chanse to apologie/get away witout being punished
this whole proces is called justice, u treat evry one the same.
nice story you tell Wizzboy. Only problem is that Blackholebob didnt ask for his punishment to be revoked and CCP didnt offer to have his punishment revoked either.
Care to try your crazy brand of logic again or can we take a rest now.
what precicely did he do wrong? did he get a punishmend? did he realy get unbanned or banned?
but more important: did he get the same punishmend as others who broke the same rules?
He apparently went crazy on the help channel and got banned for it and now apologised for it and CCP accepted his apology while keeping him banned from the help channel. Same treatment as anyone else would have gotten under the same circumstances regardless of any personal circumstances that might have come into play.
Next time you try to act smart in a thread, atleast have a basic understanding of whats going on.

Where I differ from most is I need nothing from CCP or ISD to support this community...offer the resources we bring freely..with no payment required.
I need not to ask for anything nor expect special treatment.
kieron has been in contact with me through out all this, he has been very professional. We have tried our best to be professional also.
Yes I am still banned. Although if I desire, I have many alts and accounts to move into help channel and continue to help.
you see this was not about what a jerk I am...or who was right or wrong. Because to be honest I have no agenda to suck up, shmooze or bias my sentiments, because I want something from CCP or a job or anything....
This was simply and apology...with no excuses...
One thats been overdue for a few years...
bring your hate on...and I will defend compassion everytime...

It takes alot of guts for the community as a whole to evolve to this level...
While other mmo's struggle to survive...EvE grows...
It also takes a lot of guts to deal with me for this long as many ISD staff have.

Dear Blackhole BoB,
I lost my mother to cancer 2 years ago today, something I will never get over. I went off the rails completely hurling abuse at the very people I needed for support. I dont care who you are or what you did to get a perma-ban from the help channels, you have my respect and admiration for posting an apology in here.
It takes courage and fortitude to say when one is wrong and has wronged. My thoughts and wishes go with you and your family sir, may the future be brighter for you and those you love. It is also heart warming to see even complete strangers posting comments of support for you, this is why I love EVE and her community. Long may it continue.

I will do my best to get evegathering.com updated soon with our new site we have been working on...

Events in life can often push people into doing and saying things that they would not normally do.
I went mental for about 4 years after similar events took place in my RL.
You are a stand up guy for having the balls to be in the lions den apologising for something that happened, and in fairness happens to someone everywhere everyday.
I would also submit that were you a 'nobody' who had never been to help, run an EVE related website or made a IGB player guide a more temporary ban might have been placed.
In that respect you are a victim of your own success.
regardless of who does/doesnt like you it would be very difficult to find many people that have personally contributed more to the 'EVE community.'

People should not be forgiven because they have mitigating circumstances like work obligations or familial health issues. Most of this is a flame, but on some weird level i agree. (Bob, i'm indifferent about you i dont know you, i dont know who you are what you do etc, this reply isnt aimed at you) that being said: being basically one of the bottom feeders of eve i can relate to this guy, at least part of what he says.
If i or anyone on my level as far as 'the cool kids' go screwed up, or if we needed help, or if we wanted something more than likely we'd be ignored. This isnt to flame you, Bob, you arent asking for anything special i dont blame you for your status, but it bears pointing out for everyone who reads this: Almost everyone who gets in trouble stays in trouble. Bad behavior almost always reciprocates punishment. In this case it hasnt (or to the extent it would have been arguably leveled against an average player), and should be treated as a rare occurance.
PS:
Please, please, please dont read this as a flame. I dont envy bob, or the other 'cool kids' but i felt i needed to say something to this effect.
PPS: My thoughts are with you and your family bob, even though i dont know you, or you me. My thoughts are still with you.

I was banned permanently from the help channel in game...
A place I have helped for around 2 and a half years...
99% of the time i was fine... it's that 1% that no one forgets...
I am still permanently banned from that channel.
I was never banned from EvE.

I dont know you personally, but ive heard the rumours about you. From what ive heard, you really screwed up. But then again, i can understand how real-life issues can affect your mood in the game. Im sure with time ccp will let you back in the help channel.
Its strange though. From what you say about yourself, you have low tolerance levels and lack of compassion. Yet you obviously like helping people. You do realize this is sort of a paradox? But then again, understanding human behaviour is never simple. I still have trouble understanding myself.

Also would like to say that it would be disappointing to see (dont know you, but know about ya)someone who has contributed so much to the game go away in any manner. Also hope that you continue on at that same level (gatherings and such).
