One thing I found out recently is that Hammerheads do sod all against Caldari Navy frigates but as yet I haven't had a chance to test T2 light drones against them. Other than that they are basically okay but not brilliant.

I was comparing a set of Vespa 2's vs 4 Hobgoblin 2's and 1 hornet 2...
was crazy how fast the lights ripped up the support frigates or whatever they were. nearly faster than I could target the next ones.
people underestimate lighter drones way too much.
then again, maybe T2 heavys are not as bad on the tracking and missing light ships as much...
Yeah I might get some T2 mediums.
Tbh I've yet to find a good solution for NPC frig shooting. Partly it's just that I haven't been playing much lately (weather's too nice) but this weekend I only got two combat missions from my marketing agent and neither required the use of my drones.
It's hardly a problem for me as I do lvl 3s in an Apoc (for the standing not the cash, lol) but it's damn' irrating when you're left with three or four frigs orbitting you and there's nothing you can do about 'em.

Godamnit. That could be my problem. I'm pretty sure I have that to lvl 4. It would explain the problems I've been seeing actually as I'm sure they used to be okay a couple of months ago.

No one knows but it's always been that way on some installations. I access the forums from four machines (thee at home, one at work) and one of the home machines persists in defaulting to the wrong char.
As for mediums always working:They do for normal NPCs but against those Navy Frigates (some kind of Heron) they barely cut it. Quite honestly I think I did as much damage with my megapulse as the Hammerheads. It was pitiful.
