Jade get of your high horse nobody has even heard of your corp so dont go saying we are "wannabes" when your sat in an alliance and probably spend most of your day mining/npcing without the faintest hint of danger.
There arent many pvp corps in eve that will setup in an alliance's backyard and fight so outnumbered and usually keep a very positive kill ratio (except BE ofc  )

BoB wore the FA down slowly at first and then our membership fell away quite quickly as the corporations member bases grew unhappy in having to fight a long drawn out war. BoB almost beat the FA by almost I mean that Fountain still had a hundreds of members when Xelas was installed into Fountain by BoB. This has no reflection on Xelas current character and capability but if BoB hadnt attacked the FA, Xelas would never have achieved a foothold anywhere near their current size inside Fountain.
In their current state Xelas have done rather well in resisting the effects of having a multitude of corporations and alliances shooting at them. They require help from BoB to maintain themselves in the region from what I can see but no-one can kid themselves BoB isnt there 24/7 so they have to look after themselves most of the time.
But if Xelas were honest they would admit they would never have achieved the situation they are in if they had decided to attack Fountain themselves. They would have been brushed aside most probaly and would have had to look for other space to control. At no stage has the FA ever been threatened in its existence by Xelas although I dont know about their impressions of the situation, I understand from my encounters with some of their louder members that egos can cloud their perspectives.
BoB displayed both tactical nous and strength to get Fountain into the situation it is in today, they have shown longterm planning capability something that escapes most people who only look for shortterm solutions. And to that I tip my hat regardless of any current animosity. Xelas has shown stubborness that is displayed in members in the FA in equal measure and I also see qualities in them. But FA has achieved more in its lifetime than Xelas ever will and I mean no disrespect in that, just read the history of eve whether you like or dislike the FA.
I guess the point of my post is that for all the posturing and flaming on the boards no-one really holds the upper hand, it swings back and forth reguarly and as of today the fight in Fountain looks to go on for awhile yet. I just wish that anger and hate took a back seat as this is a game after all.

A good analysis from Tassadar, though I must say to claim that "no one will ever best our achievements" is showing an arrogance that even we haven't (yet) tried....

I dont mean to say no-one will ever best any achievements we have made or that no-one has bettered any. Just that I dont see Xelas beating any standards good or bad that we set in Fountain as a region (not any alliance anywhere in eve)...just yet, they may in the future but its my opinion they wont but Im not always right  .
