eve-online and eve-radio channels on coldfront are usually the most populated.

Ok, so for the IRC noobs (like me) how do I join that channel? Just says "You need a registered nick to join that channel".

To be honest, avoid the coldfront channel, it is underadmined, oversmacked, and completely ****ty.

usually the command is:
/nickserv register password email@address
obviously replacing "password" and "email@address" with the password and email address of your choosing.
subsequent logons will require you to authenticate your account when you logon before joining the channel. easiest way to do this is to go to your options menu and find the perform button, check the "enable perform on connect" box and in the textbox type:
/nickserv auth password
or
/nickserv auth username password
depending on which authentication setup the irc server has. this will automatically authenticate you on each login to irc. you might want to add in /join #channelname of the channel you're trying to join regularly in the perform box. saves you from having to join the channel manually every time you log on.
