It seems battleships get to much attention on the forums, lets talk about your favorite NON battleship, ship.
My thumbs go to the brutix for being able to tank like crazy and still push out 500 dps, hatsoff to the brutix. ---------------------------

(bored right now so dont yell at me for derailing my own thread...)
I once logged off and my friend was sitting in a pilgrim cloaked at a 0.0 gate.... i logged on and i asked "where are you" "cloaked at xyz ->dgs gate" "Dude werent you there when i logged off?" "yep" "Have you left?" "Pf im spying"
Sad thing is, 1 person in a shuttle went through there since i had logged off... ---------------------------

Edited by: madaluap on 09/06/2006 01:21:23 My favourite pvpship is lately the stabber, i mean wtf that thing can handle blasteriskur and enyo @ the same time. With great speeds and good tackling layout.
Also the fitting for 1 is very cheap and the ship itself is cheap aswell, superb
favouriate npcship: navy issue raven, 7X launchers really is great for lvl 4 whorage
my list is kinda weird since im gallente specialised, allthough i got tech 2 medium AC guns and such.
Just testing new stuff and see eve from another perspective, will keep me busy for a good year _________________________________________________

[95]
Edited by: Demangel on 09/06/2006 23:32:51 PVP - Group (not large fleet! Thats almost exclusively BS territory IMHO): Enyo: Great little all purpose fleet frig. Good at alpha strike, decent secondary hard tackler, Excellent at anti tackler duty, good at surviving all but the most determined hunting parties, and very decent at the 1v1 slugging matches that sometimes happen. Definately a must have ship option for small wolf packs.
Thorax: Sure it's TI, but its also very cheap and disposable. It's versitile yet one trick poney style gets the job done very well. Sure you have to watch out for some other cruisers more than others, but as part of a small wolf pack, your one of the most well rounded yet seriously dangerous cruisers in the fight. With the ability to play both the super heavy tackle role, and the main cruiser damage dealer, with MWD bonus and cruiser agility/speed, the thorax has and always will be one of my favorites. It is also a superb tackler killer when fitted for combatting small ships.
Taranis: Tough little nut to *****, Tackles like there is no tomorrow packs a wild punch, flies like a Bat out of hell shot out of a cannon with a MWD strapped on for good measure. While it can't kill AF's easily, it can definately menace them. And in a small group, lookout... thats a LOT of damage in a real short amount of time.
Solo/Very small group: Ishkur: Can take on even Cruisers fit to kill frigates, and with a lot of luck, skill and or maybe some help, it can win. Anything dumb enough to try and fight it toe to toe 1 on 1 that isn't cruiser sized or better, usualy has to run off limping or die... However drone humping issues have made the Ishkur a real liability as well as most Ishkur setups are drone centric, and leaving them behind to escape a bad situation in a hurry can cost millions... OR even get you killed. But on it's own terms the Ishkur is a brute... Thorax: While some TI cruisers might be more potent solo, the thorax has some advantages when it comes to choosing it's targets, as it has the speed to dictate the nature of most encounters, the defenses to surive in a firefight, and enough firepower to be a real menace. Also It's typical fittings work well in both solo and group PVP situations, so while it's a one trick poney most of the time (MWD and blasters with drones doing support), thats the only trick it usualy needs. Take this little meany on excursions with a good EW ship, and you have a very potent double barreled combination. Taranis: Pick and choose your easy kill victims, and know that what you can't kill, you can easily avoid... Those which you can't avoid (quick lock/shot BS snipers sometimes), you wouldn't want to try and engage alone anyway. Works well in tandem with ANY wingmate be it another Inty, AF, cruiser, BS, Cloaker, BC etc, as it can handle both tackling and still put out enough damage to be respectable. A natural pod killing machine. A Taranis with instas is almost as unstoppable as a cloaker unless the enemy has a bubble...
Ships of last resort: Incurisis: fit this with TII 125MM rails and pack a nasty surprise for anyone trying to shoo you off your tackle target.
Prophecy: With proper tank and laser setup, it makes for a superb Tech I duelists ship in any duels which do not allow EW, TECH II modules, or requiring tackling...
PVE: I like using my BlastishIshkur for NPCing... Works fine in 0.0 up to 1.45 mil spawns (takes a about 1 reload of antimatter for all BS's above 900K) even without TII drones (depending on location, I'm used to guristas, which last I hear tank all too well period). I have used them for level 3 missions as well, and loot cleanup is much easier...
Galaxion > If you drove a car shaped like a thorax women would call you Demangel > Dude... I would call.. Demangel > wait that sounded g@y I bet. Galaxion > Just a bit.

Brave man.
Yes...I dare fly the toaster of massive...uhh...massive...metal plates. My 3 beam lasers shall destroy all those who oppose my Cylon Toaster. And my wingman (drone for you that don't get it) will do his duty, and die waiting for the bagel to get finished.
I love my ship for what it *is*....not what it can do. Or I should say in the case of the Augoror...what it "can't" do...which would be "anything useful." ---

I'm a fan of the sabre, myself. I'm impressed that CCP could make a type of ship what was actually suicidal enough to satisfy :P

Zealot is pure joy.
I'd vote for my absolution, but it needs an extra midslot, and handles like a VERY pregnant yak. deadspace 25mn AB anyone? Usually I just fly the zealot, even though it is technically inferior.
The new vengence is ok too.

Retribution and Zealot. Two very solid (literally and metaphorically), all-around ships. ~~~

I like the Thorax, but I can't fly one yet... so I'm tooling around in my FatMan Tristan, the Autumn Storm.

It's a basic ships that seems to have all you need. It's like a little package of completeness. ---------------

I hate my battleslug. So damn boring.

I wouldn't say it.. I've been toying around with the Augurer, and found at least one combat role for it besides transferiing energy. At least in a frienly 1v1, the AC Trasher and I disnegaged when we both hit structure. More love for the Augurer!
Back to topic: Phantasm: OMG it can dish out for a cruiser. Arbitrator: Lines, lines.. and capability. Navy Slicer: It looks fast. Executioner: It not only looks fast, it is!
