Like, say, delete your pilot at a time when you aren't yourself, losing way more than a mere ship, but the pilot, forever. (millions of skillpoints) Is it possible to retrieve lost pilots or the skills that they had? I know its possible, but is CCP nice enough to make one saving grace recovery?

Considering that, in order to delete a pilot you have to choose to delete it, not once, but twice, about a day apart - I don't see any reason for CCP needing to do this. If you're that determined to get rid of the guy, okay, you got rid of him. ________________________________________________

agreed with the above post. if you deleted once, then waited the LONG time (hours and hours) and deleted again, i dont see any reason why anyone should pity you, especially CCP. If you deleted once, the character is still there and all you have to do is recover it from the character selection screen. _______________________

Just say I was very stupid. Went to delete my character and played WoW. WoW is very bad and I want to come back to EvE and be a CCP fanboi (sp?). Will stay with CCP forever. GMs will be so touched, they will restore your character from Doomheim. ---------------- RecruitMe@NOINT!

if I was in a situation where I would not be protected from such a problem by the 10+ hour wait (I think its 10 hours at least, right?) before finalizing the deletion, I'd reconsider wether I aughta be playing.
but thats just me.

Dont know why CCP should not do it if it is technically possible, after all its not like you lost something in game.

Actually it is 24 hours... But I wondered the same.

CCP will return deleted characters if you petition quickly, from what I've heard.

Reimbursment Policy
Quote: EVE ONLINE REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Players are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the following information and refer to this document before submitting any reimbursement requests. A loss of items, skill points or money within the game that may have been caused by unusual circumstances could be eligible for replacement if it falls within the scope of this policy.
Note that this policy is not all inclusive. Other situations outside this policy may be deemed eligible for reimbursement if circumstances warrant such a decision. No reimbursement requests are guaranteed to be fulfilled. The general rule is that we must be able to verify that your loss should not have occured during normal gameplay.
All reimbursement requests must be sent within a week from when the loss occurred. After that time we will not provide reimbursement.
Quote: 7. DELETED/CORRUPT CHARACTERS
Unwanted characters may be deleted at the character selection screen by clicking the skull and crossbones icon. A verification window will appear asking if you are certain you wish to permanently delete this character. Players are urged to exercise caution when deleting a character and verify that this is an action they wish to take. Corrupt characters may have a graphic flaw that was undetected during the creation process.
- Characters deleted either accidentally or intentionally cannot be restored.
- A corrupt character may be reconstructed or corrected after investigation. All items will be moved to the new character and it will have the same characteristics, skills and standings as the old one.

Are you one of these people who made an "I'm leaving EVE" post, deleted your character, and now want back?

I only have two signatures that don't contain blue robots. What do you mean, no more blue robots--you want me to put the link back or something?

Ive deleted a char and asked for it to be revived about 1 year ago. It had been about 2 weeks since deletion and I got the char back, but no assets or isk. So it is possible if you ask very nicely, or it was back then anyway

Well, it cannot be recovered apparently (judging by Wrangler's post), but from what I remember about deleting (and I've deleted quite a few test alts): you first get the 10-hour biomass processing queue. While you are in the queue, you can abort the termination. However, once that 10-hour period is gone, you can only terminate, or at least I only get the termination button. So basically if I accidentally or something put a character on the queue, I'm not sure how I could abort the deletion if I then left for 10+ hours before coming back?

Wrong, CCP GMs arent stupid, the would do a simple account access IP check to see if any abnormal IPs were connected to the account when it was deleted (like an IP that came from another country than the account holder lives in for example), they would notice the IP was the same (in the case of a static IP from a cable connection) or similar (Im no expert but i believe certain isps/areas have the same first 2-3 oculets). Then they would ban you for wasting their time with false claims :).

Is a skill reimbursement possible? Or is that character data deleted and its just not possible to even know what it once was?
