You shoud get story agent in curent const or at least the same blody region !

Well.. from an RPG standpoint, it would be interesting to do missions that take you into tother territory... for espoinage or such...
I dont see much of anything wrong with missions that may take 2-3 days to complete.
But the reward better be worth it!!!

As its a sorryline mission you have to goto the agent anyway to say **** off

Well then don't go over there. In about 5 days, the agent will fizzle away anyway. The same as refusing in my eyes.

Am I misreading something? Is it a courier mission?
I'm just wondering because as long as you can make the 17 jumps in a cruiser or frigate I don't see the problem. Take about ten minutes to get there with an MWD.
I think a surprise mission taking you away from your normal home would be cool as long as the rewards are okay. If Zrakor read this please feel free to have Ranasenne Vinck at Bika send me on a 100 jump round trip. A reward of 10mil for completion within bonus time limit will be fine.

when i was using the l4 fed navy agent located within the aunia system i would often be sent 13jumps away to an agent giving my importaint missions, even though i know for a fact there are a few of them within 4 jumps

You're not the only one to think that space travel is a curious concept in a game like EVE. Seriously, who ever had that idea? Next they'll want us to undock!
You're also not the only one to be wrong.
I do 17 jumps for breakfast without thinking about it. Then again, I found out what this ship thing was for early on.

I find travelling to be perfectly acceptable as long as there is a reason for it. I'll accept Isk or just experience of somewhere different (sadly lacking from Eve really).
I mean..why play a space game if you're not going to travel? Back when I was playing the original Eve I flew to all four corners of all the galaxies just for laughs. Okay - perhaps I'm a little bit weird
