It's a bit more work than just going through the list looking for problems to add to our tracking database, but I will *attempt* to keep a summary of what is posted in this thread by other people. This isn't going to be any form of official list of errors in the summary, just reflective of what is posted.
For everyone that wonders what this list is for, it's mainly so we can go through and look (in addition to the bug reports) at what people are complaining about, and check that it is indeed on our radar. It's not to keep everyone sedated. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unofficial Summary:
* Auto-updater is broken (1217 and 1238)
* Cannot name corp-owned containers
* Drop-down combo boxes always seem to be positioned at the bottom of the list by default, not the top or currently selected value.
* Some mousover information in the map contains cosmetic errors.
* Sorting tabs in the addressbook are missing
* Jump information in detached bookmark group windows doesn't update
* Various Assets window opening, closing and mininimising issues in space
* Containers inside your cargo hold don't update
* Journal window doesn't update automatically with new mission information
* CTDs scrolling in the character sheet [crash dumps and logs of this would be good, but I'll try and get it reproduced]
* Cannot toggle modules offline in space
* Sell Orders when chosen to sort by Quantity sort as a single alpha string. Thus 10/12 is above 100000/100000.
* Blackscreen login issues (please check that your system date/time is set accurately, although apparently this isn't the only cause of the issue)
* Switching between items in the interface quickly can cause problems with some updates of those items
* Using driver controlled antialiasing (FX 5900 Ultra) the screen loses video output briefly every time an image/ texture is cached (e.g. player icons/ planets)
* The list of blueprints to install is not sorted
* Occasionally the station GUI does not load properly (log would be very useful of this one, it's not one I've seen)

General User Interface
* Pressing ESC in window mode may cause a CTD on GeForce cards with antialias and midmapping on * Activating a new ship causes a visual error of attributes losing their bonus from implants and learning skills * Corporation security officers are unable to view member hangars * Some preferences (such as bookmark folders) fail to save unless you quit to the login screen from the ESC menu.
In Space
* Ships sometimes move backward after warp. This is caused by network lag. * Two people using Energy Neutralizers on each other, will cause a CTD * Anchored objects (including secure containers) can bounce ships at large speeds over a significant distance, usually this is a client-side visual error. * The autopilot does not stop at waypoints.
Market
* The closest, best and most volume are not showing correct locations in advanced market * If a buyer does not have enough money and you use quicksell, the items are returned to your hangar but you are not warned. * Buy orders over an area including your current location are listed with jumps '-' are listed in addition to any localised demand.

At the moment, the auto-updater is returning 'There was an error downloading the patch file. Please try again', the instant I select a mirror.
It's not even trying to download the patch, it just throws the error immediately =/

Member hangars are still not working, that is if you are a marked as security officer you can still not see the contents of a members hangar and you cannot drop items in either.

I can not give Anchored Secure containers a Name, when they are launched as "Launch for Corp". I get the Message "You can not label other peoples stuff!". I¦m director of the Corp, so all rights i do have.
"Launch for Self" is not yet tested.
I think "Launch for Corp" does mean that anyone in the corp may do anything with the container (rename, set psw, unanchor, scoop). Is this a mentioned bug? or what are the options intended for?
(Yes this is a quote from another post from me. Guess it would be better to mention it here.)

When using display options on map several of the options have little problems. Like the option to view ships destoryed, and look at a system that has ships destoryed. The name of the system is written twice. Also, the number of pilots in space option is missing the ":" after the name of the system. Not a big problem, but the patch looks good so far.

the sorting tabs in the places bit of your addressbook are now missing. any kind of order would be nice, right now i cant see any pattern to how your places are listed. (makes finding the one you want a chore)  ______________

1) P&P Places folders got unsorted and there is no way to sort them 2) P&P Places bookmarks in folder aren't sorted and is possible sort them only by detaching group window for folder 3) Detached group window for bookmars aren't updated as well (Jumps etc doesn't chage as I travel) with new bookmarks if I drag them in folder thru main P&P Places interface 4) If I minimize asset window by double clicking on title and then restore that window then asset window become pernament and is no posible move, close or minimize it.
All above errors are reported thru bug report too.

For some people, the character selection screen will not load. Just stays a black screen. Reinstall, reboots, nothing seems to help.

There is a refresh issue in the Mapbrowser - when setting a new waypoint or destination it¦s not graphically shown in the Mapbrowser - close & reopen the mapbrowser will show the changes done before - but as I usually only travel with the mapbrowser this is annoying...

Assets window will not close or minimize. Every jump i do, it adds Updates to Global assets reports are delayed 5 minutes above the window (and keeps adding them).
I have 6 of this message so far, right up the middle of the screen

Personally, not sure about anyone else, but a window on your UI that will not close is kinda serious to UI. I think perhaps that might need a hotfix.
Moving the mouse over the title-bar on that window turns the cursor to a pointer type, not an interaction type. As such you can't click on the minimize/close, or use drag for that window.
It still functions so if you need to target something thats there, you can't the assets window will function as normal, apart from blocking off a whole segment of the UI.
Will try to check re-occurance conditions.

Also a possible means to at least move the window whilst you can't close it is to click just to the right of the All Assets Tab, seems you can still move it with that, but it still can't be closed.
State Changes seem to break the assets window. Going from docked to undocked, jumping form one system to another. Strangely when you dock you can close the window again.

Asset Window: I found that if I close the asset window it doesn't open a second time. Whether docked, warping, autopiloting or whatever. In addition I found that the text "Updates to Global assets reports are delayed 5 minutes" appears above the asset window for each time you jump, dock or undock. Bug report w/ screenshot filed.
Autopilot, multiple waypoints: I found that my ship continues on to the final destination dispite the setting 'disable autopilot at each waypoint'. __________________________________________________________________________ May I recommend a Cybernetic Subprocessor?.. That's an intelligence implant, sweetheart.

Map: Pilots in system has no space or return character after the system name, so you get the system name immediately concattenated with the volume of people in the system:

Points of intrest (at work atm and cant remember what the option was in game before) on the map cannot be removed. Anotherwords I always see the titles of areas in those boxes (ex Ammatar) and cannot clean up my map a bit more.

Factories and labs.
When installing a blueprint, at the screen where you choose the one to install they are not sorted in any sort of order I can determine.
Not really a show stopping error, but just try finding that 1 blueprint out of over 100 when they are just seemingly randomly displayed. ---------------------------------------------

Most of the items equipped to my ship can not be turned off (taken offline). If a module is already offline, and there is enough power/cpu to bring online, then I can bring it online. I can not, however take modules "offline" that are already "online".
Also, the autopilot will not disengage at waypoints for me either. Please fix that. :)

Several problems not solved in latest patch:
1. When attempting to launch drones from my THorax will only get "show info" on pull down tab. "launch" not show on pull down for drones in drone bay. Only if I relog will this correct itself. This is an occasional problem.
2. Drones tab will sometimes disappear when I hit minimize on it. This has been appearing more recently than anything else
3. If my cargo hold box is stacked on top of chat window and I either dock or jump, cargo box will disappear and only come back if I minimize chat window. Consistent problem since 1217.
4. If I rclick an asteroid from residual survey scanner results camera will now center on asteroid that I rclicked.

Client hang at character selection still present from 1217. Now failing 100% of the time with hardware sound acceleration enabled on my rig, though disabling may not be a workaround for all (lbw and dmp submitted)

Temp Workaround for Closing Assets: If you move the mouse to the right of the 'All Items' Tab while in space you will get the four arrows cursor. There it will let you move the box or Right Click menu will let you close.

After this patch: i get a slightly grey screen(in place of character selection screen) after the logging is complete and thats all i get. Never had a problem previously. Runnning 1GHz pentium with Geforce 4 card with 512 sdram and 56k connection.

I'm still having lots of problems with the UI. When loading a window's contents and I quickly switch tabs within the window, the content that loads from the previous tab gets inserted into the tab I switched to. For example, if I'm in the wallet and the wallet opens with the transaction tab active, and before I wait for the transaction tab to load, I switch to the journal tab, the journal may load, but will be soon replaced with the contents of the transaction tab. This is especially pronounced in high lag when tabs take a long time to load. It takes a bit of fiddling to finally get the proper content to load in the tab.
This also happens in the market. In fact I've been having more problems with the market UI since the patch. Expandable items aren't collapsing properly somtimes. Not only that, but when the map window on the left reloads due to adding a new buy order, sometimes the catagory list on the right disappears altogether and the only way to get it back is to fiddle with the region/const/system/station settings above it.

The problem with scanning the asteroids still exists. If you use mining probe and then move mouse over some of the items on the list of asteroids to see where they are, the ship is no longer centered. The camera goes berzerk.

Autopilot still disables itself sometimes when you come out of warp to a jumpgate. I have only had it happen at the same time I have the Asset-window bug.

In-game browser bug build 1217-1238:
Bug report sent (with attachments)
The evebrowser stucks itself when tries to load the page that contains image larger then lets say about ~1,5-2,0 KB. It loads the page to the place where image is linked, then it fails to load the image properly; gets stuck in endless loading; writes a corrupted downloaded image into cache/browser/img folder; and that is all. reloading the page does not help I'm not using any proxies to browse the net. I'm using Norton Security personal firewall 2003, but it is configured properly, it opens all ports for eve.exe process. (in early summer builds evebrowser worked fine)

* while it may not be necessary to repackage drones to have the repairs stick, if you wish to repair drones you still need to repackage to identify which drones are fixed as opposed to damaged.
* NPC Pirates do not show up on threat window unless they specifically target your ship. Thus they can appear and kill/attack your drones and if you don't notice the '+' sign, you will never know.

I don't see that anybody else is experiencing this but if I once close my journal I cannot re-open it without first re-logging. This is very annoying when doing agent missions (which are plenty annoying enough as it is now thank-you-very-much) if you accidentally close the window.

Still a problem with training. I've wasted loads of time now! Started Drone interfacing lvl 2, needed to log off, and two hours were remaining, thought I'd stick training on to Gunnery for lvl 5 (4 days training) so i switch. Drone Int. was at ~4400/7200 (not sure of exact figures) this is now sitting at 2200 Wasted 3 hrs of training!!!!
What's the point, in total of lost about 12 hrs of training so far. No reply from CCP. Am I going to get my skill points back

Even a small fix, that only corrects this bug, makes a lot of people happy. This is so annoying .

As I was docking in the Spacelane Testing Facilities station in Isinokka it was taking a little longer than usual so to pass the time I attempted to execute a "Stack All" command on my Bestower's cargo hold. While the stacking was underway (i.e. things were still in the process or stacking) the docking command completed and I entered the station. When I appeared inside the station my cargo hold was completely empty. I relogged while docked and undocked and cleared my cache. Nothing. The items never reappeard. Luckily it was only ore and no great loss. However this is a very nasty bug and needs looking into ASAP to prevent the loss of irreplacable items!. Not sure if this is a bug or a change in the mail system, but new mail does not blink individually anymore. This is quite annoying since you have to open up every potential senders character to see if you have new mail from them.

Any chance of getting rid of the "+" sign on an "ACTIVE" target?
When you have 3 tarets selected, and another appears, you cannot distinguish clearly which one is the new target to lock on.
The old way was that it would get rid of the "+" and be a dot or something. However it was, it didn't not make it so you can not distinguish a new target as it enters the combat area. Agent Shield |

The following are the most noticable, bothersome bugs for me since the last patch:
(1) I have the same problem as Pinkoir, i.e., once I close my Journal window, it cannot be opened again without relogging.
(2) Asset window not closing - BUT I have found a work-around for this. Assign a hot-key combination (e.g., Alt-q) to "close active window" in the config menu (i.e., in the escape key pop-up window). The hot-key will close the asset window, when clicking on the close box("x") fails.
(3) Auto-pilot stopping at each way point is not working for me either.

- People & Places/Places tab is not sorted and is not sortable. Maaany comments/queries about this in Help Channel. (Also the outstanding {Pre 1238}issue of Deleting Cache removes folders)
RE: the Station/Fittings window, turning modules online and offline seems to be a display bug. If you toggle the item and then close and open the fittings window, the item now shows a changed state.

I've noticed that I usually have to add items to the ship twice (i.e. put them on, take them off, put them on again) before the 'online' light will come on.

I can't quick sell. The item blinks down to the bottom of my hanger and my wallet flashes but there is neither funds nor a sell order set up.
This is getting irritating, and also applies when I access my account through a friends machine. He can sell, I can't.

"Show Info" windows created by modal windows disappear when the modal window is closed, and all subsequent "Show Info" windows opened (from both dialogs and the main interface) do not appear at all until the client is restarted.
For example: 1. Open Factory interface 2. Install a blueprint; dialog appears 3. Click on the "Info" icon on a blueprint; Show Info window appears. 4. Close the dialog; Show Info window also closes 5. Go to your hanger and attempt to display info on any item; the window won't appear, but it's listed in the CTRL-TAB list. |

Looks like the training stats are affected by the jumping into other ships. The attributes are lowered to original values and then training times aren't reflected truely.
My Cybernetics and Social skills though still have one lvl missing! I'll just have to train them up again. I'm not willing to stop any training in case it loses points.
Having a problem with the journal window not opening, think this may be linked to the asset window problem. If the asset window is opened, then the journal win locks.

Myself and other corp mates have noticed the camera sometimes flips out and you can't zoom on yuor ship, the camera will go off siddeways away from your ship making it near impossible to see where you are going.
Confirmed: Survey Scanner causes a shift in camera focus, sometimes* (didn't work for me) warping fixes it! ---------------------------------------

* Cargo containers when launched for self or corporation have a distance limitation. If you just jettison the containers (same effect) they do not have a distance limitation. In other words if you want to get around the distance limitation, jettisoning the containers allows for this.

Cannot Accept Mission: Here is a new bug for me. Talked to to my agent to get a mission. The agent told me about a combat mission and gave me the option buttons for the accept "response" or "abort". I pushed the accept "response" button, but nothing happened. I pushed the button multiple times, no good. I tried relogging and leaving the station, it made no difference. When I returned, the button still did nothing. I have never had this happen before, and I have done over 100 missions. I'm hoping that once the mission expires the next mission with this agent will work.

Makes it close to impossible to do some corp maintenance while jumping away on some agent mission.

Chat windows do not consistently refresh with new content if new content arrives while observer has hidden (not minimized) windows via CONTROL-TAB.
When un-hiding windows, one has to click on a chat window tab, whereupon the conversation view port is refreshed with new content.

And have had ppl calling me up saying "sry i hit u" when I was several jumps from their location.
So in effect. Local bug seems to be back and torp and possibly other missile dmg spread through local channel to the ppl "left behind"
Only "good" thing seems to be that u take no sec hit for this and so Concord doesn't show up all rowdy and stuff

What happened to the Network connection window? That was the single most important screen to have up to see if you're lagging, or if something else isn't working right...
I didn't see in the patch notes anything on this... it also seems that it has gone from the configuration screen.
Please put it back... it's important to know how many packets are still outstanding or how much traffic you get from the server... having the fps is also neat, not essential, but neat...

dont know if this is a bug or a new bad feature. in map mode and when you search for a system, before patch when you double clicked on the system in the search menu the camera would move the view to the system you double clicked. after the patch double clicking on the searched system pops the information window up of that system.

If you open up the "Pick item" window for repackaging, the whole window is messed up. The border is shifted form the center of the window. More, if you then close the "Pick item" window, the border remains.

Again, not sure if this is a bug or intended feature but myself and a couple of others that I know of are no longer getting any missions involving combat from our level 3 agents, basically since the last patch that reduced the rate of drop of implants. Done over 100+ missions and not one combat mission.

BTW... Bookmark folders are bugged, the bookmarks don't stay in the folders. After a while the client hiccups, and all the bookmarks are sitting outside their folders.
Extreme pain in the <Expletive deleted> putting them back in the folders.

A3 launchers say they take 0.3 and light missiles are 0.1, but you can only fit 2 light missiles in an A3 launcher.
I fear the same minor round down issues might affect the other launchers.
Whilst you are at it, why not make M12 big enough to take 3 heavy missiles rather then 2 and 0.2 spare?
Might be nice if rocket launchers could hold more then 3 rockets too. As is they can fire them all off in 3 seconds, but then have to wait 10 seconds to reload? Perhaps make rocket launchers take 10 rockets, and then the 10 second reload would be an acceptable penalty.

This morning when I logged in Richard, I could only load 2 flameburst into one of those A-3 Launchers.
Just passing on what happened with Tranq, whilst I haven't tested on chaos in a while I can't tell what the current state is :) I will try to review there, but might affect all missile launcher loads, it was just obvious with the A3's.
I might get time at the weekend to pop on and check, but I know this happens with Tranq.

Richard: I found the issue.
Go and dock. If you have an A-3 fitted, first remove it so that there is no ammo and launcher fitted.
Fit the A3 launcher to the ship. Try to drag a stack off ammo to the new launcher (light missiles), and when it loads the missiles, it only loads two.
Out in space, a full reload request seems to load three missiles correctly.
M12 suffered the same issue when I tried to load light missiles. 11 loaded when the capacity should have been 12. In space same thing, reload loads the correct volume, just not in the fittings screen.

Lickspittle, the rounding error only seems to come up when loading the missiles when in the equip screen inside a station. When outside in space you can fit three missiles into the launcher, but when inside the station fitting the ship it only holds 2 missiles.

If you happen to have the factory window open, monitoring the progress of a particular factory, and are doing something else at the time (I was typing a message to be sent to someone), and a batch completes in the background, then focus is snapped back (I have no control on this) to the Local chat window, or its stack.
So for the duration of the message typing, I had focus snaped to another window at the end of every batchi, which coincided with the batch progress refresh of data.
Its not really nice to force another window to have focus away from user request.
Issolated, but very annoying. I wonder if similar things happen with other windows like market view?
Corporation Window, Votes Tab:
There is a vertical scrollbar, but the text in any of the votes windows does NOT wrap. If you actually want to read a long paragraph, you have to copy the text out into clipboard and paste it into something like notepad and force a wrap to read it. This is incredibly inconvenient, and I would say borders on show-stopping for most people to read votes with any length. Either that or it only happens on nVidia Fx5800 cards.

removing and adding loot from loot containers is isnt getting updated. dragging a loot item from a loot container to your cargo hold, then drag back the item to another loot container. your cargohold dosent get visually updated so the item stays in your cargohold.

Inconsistency between interface multi-select:
When you deploy drones, if you want to multi-select some drones, you have to hold down the SHIFT key and then click on them to select multiple items.
In all other aspects of the User Interface, multi-selecting is done with the Control key.
I know about this, and I still fall foul of it.
Would, perhaps, be wise to choose one method only.

1. While fighting a 30k Blood Arch Reaver in Genesis I repeatedly got an audible 'You do not have sufficient power...' notification whenever I'd try to start a weapon or a mid-slot item (such as a shield booster). Fine, only I always had at LEAST 2/3 of my cap available on my ship readout!
I fly a thorax with 2x250mm rails (one proto, one standard), a Focused Medium Laser and two Medium Autofocal Masers (Same setup for weaps I've had for over a month now), a cold-gas AB, a 11.8% med cap boost, and a C5-L medium shield boost.
When I tried to relog and clear the cache and return, the problem seemed to clear up, only to reoccur again within another 20 minutes. The items I would try to start/operate would not come on and I would get the message repeatedly, again with PLENTY of cap available.
2. While doing agent missions through Placid my MWD would drain my cap rapidly (three cycles and ALL of cap would be drained!), and warping would excessively drain cap as well (670 cap drained from near full to nothing warping just 8 au!). This seemed to happen intermittently, returning to normal cap drain in some systems, and excessive in others (no real pattern noted).
I relogged and would try to remove and reinstall the MWD and the cap drain would seem to be fine, only to show up problematic again within an hour. I had to repeatedly log out and back into the game to get the cap drain to stabilise!
3. On the same day I was experiencing the excessive cap drain problem, people in a Gallente newb corp suddenly began to pop up in my corp window! No one else in my corp saw them, and none of the people popping in appeared to say anything, but about 5 players showed up in about 30 minutes' time.
Once again I had to relog to get this problem to clear!
It seems like these problems are occurring more frequently, particularly within the last week that I've noted. I've got two PC's linked to a router/ADSL modem, each PC having different graphics cards, motherboards, cpu's, sound cards, etc., and the problems occur on BOTH PC's.

Defender missiles no longer defend against any incoming missiles, but seem to only react to missiles directed at your ship.
This does kind of seriously affect support role vessels from acting as defence for their corp, group, or anyone in the area they may be trying to assist.

yes, they should just go for any "hostile" missiles...imho.
its also quite annoying that if you use multiple launchers with defenders that they all go for the same missile :P so that is useless. Once the first defender blows the missile up, the others just fly around aimlessly (instead of refocusing on other missiles?)
hmm ... it would have been nice if you could point out the defenders' target yourself :P Sort of like what happens if you try to activate a gun without having locked anything...a "manual targeting" option or so. just an idea :)

When you eject from your ship and board another ship ALL LOW SLOTS remain INACTIVE! This is very serious. Is this known? Will this be adressed with the upcoming patch? Look at this scenario (as it affects us now):
- Mining Deep Space with several Giant Secures anchored. - After mining a time, flying to a safe place (in that system), where an indu is floating in space. - Ejecting from the ship (f.e. a BS) and boarding the indu to get the stuff out of the belt to the Secure Cans - After hauling, ejecting from the Indu and getting back into the BS. - Now all Low Slots are INACTIVE. This you can reproduce any time.
When boarding the indu you do not recognize this, because there are Cargo Expanders in the low slot, which are operational even when offline. When boarding a BS who has CPU Units equipped these are inactive, therefore you have not enough cpu for activating the other stuff. Damage Modifiers don¦t work too. So you have to fly back to a station and bring all units online. Thats annoying, when you are 40+ jumps away from the next station....

build 1238: Approx 2 weeks ago a corpmate of mine collected minerals for his Scorpion. Our builder (PE5) then picked the stuff and started production. Then he logged. Some 15 mins later HALF of the mins + the bp dropped out of the fac slot back into the corp hangar. Jep, half of the minerals! Rental period of the slot seemed to have ceased exactly at this time :/
It seems this is a feature because Customer support didnt react to the petitions of my corp mate - he petitioned this 2 weeks ago!
However: If it is a feature then please please remove it! Its really not funny to see minerals in worth of 20 Mio vanish into oblivion ... ***********************************************

No, this was not known. And you didn't miss much, you were pretty thorough 
What is happening here is that when you board another ship, or just eject from the one you are in into a capsule, as your skills no longer effect the ship, there is less power and cpu available, so the ship takes modules offline to achieve a balance with cpu and power supply and usage.
The algorithm was to just check to see whether the ship was in balance and if it wasn't, to pick for all intents and purposes a random module to take offline. This was done repeatedly until the ship was in balance.
I've changed it to a better algorithm that should never take modules offline that do not use the resource in question and that picks the ones that use the most of the resource first over those that use the least.
I've been testing this with a Thorax fitted with 4 reactor control units, 2 medium shield boosters, a Capacitor Regenerator and 4 assorted hi-slot weapons. It went from taking most of the modules offline before the change, to now taking only one of them offline - one of the shield boosters.
This fix should come out in the next Gemini patch. -- Richard CCP Programmer. Anything said above is not the official line, but my own take or opinion. |

Yes, for the meantime, until the patch (another week or so), this will only be on the test server/chaos. Keep in mind that you need to make sure that between the time I posted and when you test it, that the test server has been updated. Otherwise, you will of course be testing the old behaviour.

Any possibility of changing the algorithm so that it doesn't disable low slot modules unless absolutely necessary? The reason for this is that if you are far away from station and need to change ships in space, when you reboard you can turn all modules online again (by activating them) except low slot modules, which can't be activated

Cap usage is definatly bugged.
Have done repeated test and as long as the log utility isnt running all devices use much more cap then they are meant to.
E.g. Hardeners should use 20 are using 89/90 MWD should be using 50 is using over 200 Xl Shield booster s/b using 400 is using over 2K
Also damage from NPC rats seems to not be affected by shield res for laser - I seem to be taking a lot more damage than the log shows (almost as is res is either working in reverse or not being taken into account)
Last problem - have started playing in window mode to check system time vs eve time and eve time seems to change by over 6 mins in 30 seconds when hunting rats in belt.
Check system time against eve and it will be correct then its 3 mins slow (eve time) then its upto 3 mins fast.
This means that NPC rats that where over 80K away are suddenly less than 20K away.
Cap recharge is going nuts recharging at a very very fast rate or a very very slow rate
e.g I should charge at 25 cap per sec with my config this varies from .1 cap/sec to over 100 cap per sec as eve try to catch up with system time.
I have checked my system time against a digitial clock and it is stable
only seem to have had this problem since the latest client install.
I am intending to install the slighly older version alongside the new and do some further testing.
Wish the problem would occur when the log utility is running but it seems that as soon as I run the utility everthing starts behaving it self.
RE log and its straight back.
Tried playing for over a hour with the log running and no problems at all

Indeed it is. Since installing the new semi-official patch things have gone somewhat crazy.
Whilst using speed boosting things I notice it the most (afterburners/MWD). Some devices use way more cap then they state, quite massively so.
Sometimes the cap, even though showing completely drained, doesnt' seem to be taken into account and you can still run modules. Either that or the display data is incorrect, and the actual data in the background seems to be correct but not displayed so.
Worse still, I have had cap pool NOT update at all. You are using cap, but it doesn't display the changes, and it just complains when you try to use modules when the actual pool is depleted, but your cap still displays 100%.
I have had capacitor do a Negative Recharge. Yes, thats right. It goes backwards whilst you are in warp, draining until empty then magically appearing completely full again and starting to work down again.
Not entirely sure that the afterburner skill to reduce power use (fuel XXX) is working correctly, but with the other things happening I can't tell for sure. I can tell you that on at least one occasion when I was training up power related skills, this happened immediately after training had completed for one of them. Energy Systems Operations I think it was, but might have been Management.
Another very nasty one. When you are being attacked you do seem to be taking somewhat more damage then normal, so I think the resists on shields have some issue, I agree there.
Worse is that when your shields get very very low they can sometimes instantly gain some shield in the display (1/3 to 1/2 I have experienced), but you start taking armour/hull damage whilst it appears you have plenty of shields left. This isn't very good in a combat situation sadly. Activating shield boosters obviously doens't affect the artificial displayed shield hits for a few iterations, then suddenly starts to increase them again.
I haven't spotted exact patterns for them, sorry to say, but at least you know what the signs might appear like whilst playing

As I as was happily hunting this afternoon, my Large Shield Booster suddenly wasnt content anymore with 40% capacitor of a Dominix (which is with a MWD fitted about 3000). A Large Shield Booster should only use about 160 Energy. Thus I would say 1200 cap should be enuff to power a 160 energy shieldbooster.

I managed to get a version of 1303 running. Here my results from your changed algorithm with my config.
1x Tempest
6x 1200mm 1x H-50 1x S-110
1x Quad Lif Fuled Booster Rocket 1x Large Shield Booster 1x Type-E Power Core 1x Survey Scanner 1x Secondary Parallel
2x Pneumatic Stabis 2x Gyrostabis I 1x Nano CPU 1x Basic CPU
After Ejecting and boarding again i was able to activate the modules which are not online automatically. These were:
1x 1200mm 1x S-110 1x Large Shield Booster
At station i could see that these modules are offline, but when using them in space when enough power and cpu is there these modules come online again. So this algorithm works fine in this config. Should do also in other configs, since the CPU Units will not go offline. Hope this helped. Good job lickspittle!

When putting ore into secure containers that are inside an indy the canisters do not display the ore inside. Refreshing won't bring it up either.

When i jumped from one system to another with my ingame web browser open, I would come out in the next system but all my windows, the tabs on the side of the screen, the chat window, the scanner button, and all the stuff at the bottom of the screen(the console for turning on modules on my ship) disappeared. I could still see my ship, the space around it, and the radar.
This is very annoyoing as i would like to keep my in game browser open. Please fix this.

Edited by: Cain Calzon on 27/11/2003 21:05:22 a bug that has been with us for several builds is the scroll down buttons on such as webpages, people and places where you have a list of options.
to reproduce, "goto people and places" and move the mouse over which type you want to search, people, corporation, etc. just click so you get the list up, now instead of using the scroll bar, use the arrows instead. and move up or down in the list, after you release the mouse button the window with which type you want to search closes up before you can select which type you want

Bug: In-station Buying
When trying to buy an item on the Market Panel for the station at which you are currently located (using the procedure of right-clicking on the item in the table view), the market will frequently buy the cheapest item in the Region instead. I have had this happen to me over four times on Tranquility in the last two months, and just yesterday I confirmed that it is still a problem on the latest version of Chaos (1318). This happens even though I check to be sure that the confirmation dialog is showing the station that I am at and the price for that station. I can work around the bug by setting the range on the market panel to just the station I am at, however, it is frustrating whenever it happens and I have to repeat the purchase with the station-only setting, paying twice for the item. On Chaos yesterday, the Market Panel not only confused the location of my purchase but it gave me the price for the location that I was at; thus, I ended up getting neither the cheapest price nor the nearest location.
I have not seen anyone else griping about this. Am I the only one?
