We should all put up one unit of Tritanium on escrow at a price of 1bil, if the whole galaxy is swamped with these orders, we might just get lucky and one of those turds buys the wrong one...

Originally by: Maya Rkell Because you're chosing to defend a GM descision which flys in the face of everything CCP promotes about Eve. And you're making unsupported inferences about pure-ISK scams being against the rules ANYWHERE, as previously known.
Yes, I am defending the GM. Seriously, are you challenging the GM? Are you trying to tell me that you have that right?
Read your EULA. Seriously read it. You rent your character, you dont own anything. |

You are no GM, and GM descisions have been overturned before because of popular protest. Because this IS a terrible descision which kills much of the free nature of Eve.
Freedom includes the freedom to fall for scams for in-game currency, bluntly.
And again, you're assuming that what the EULA says is true when that is untested, legally. And it's not something which any MMO company WANTS to see put to the challenge.

I'm perfectly fine with scams because I'm not stupid enough to completely trust someone I can't go kick in the balls in person
And I think this topic has derailed quite a bit. It went from How crappy escrow is, to the validity of scamming.

So you finaly discover why people set up random escrows for 50/100/250/500 even 1.5b isk with one trit in with cryptic msgs as topics ?
Only reason was not a scam attempt but for people to claim them top give isk to someone that bought it for real money - not that hard to figure out.
Just follow the isk, you finly will find the guy that sells it, but that is only CCP that can do that and we all know how fast they are hunting isk sellers...

Oh really? And who made you GM? My voice is just as important as yours.
No it's not. You'll learn if you last in the game that you might have a normal account liek everyone else, but some people's voice will be far more important than yours.
If you say you're going to kill everyone, we won't care.
If SirMollie comes on the forums and says that BoB is going to start pirating in lowsec empire, people will care.
They'll flame him for about 50 pages, but they'll care.
YOu'll find that unlike many other MMOs EVE is not run by the infallible. GMs and others make mistakes, and they get corrected.
And Sha, I dobut it's 'very ahrd' to trace that isk. Just because we the normal players can't see a name on an escrow sale doesn't mean that GMs and CCP can't. I'd be very suprised if they couldn't trace the the ISK all the way back to the people whose buy order the isk-seller filled with minerals.

You are so wrong. Each voice is a voice of reason. However, you are just trolling, looking for trouble.
It is very simple, if anyone has a problem, file a petition. Listen to yourself. If SirMolle blah blah blah
Get over yourselves, this is a game. Your little make believe characters are NOT real.
So grow up and act like a Man. Better yet, come and get some tough guy. See you in Jita. |

1. see the 100000000 isk trit on escrow, 2. see who filed it? it's an isk buyer. 3. create a new char with similar name 4. file the same amount escrow. 5. hope for tards mistake :) 6. invent some way to prove to ccp that you didn't actually buy this OOG if it works

No, but you can get a life. Forum Scams are against the rules.
Maybe you should train Reading Level 1
