Honestly, once you get under 0.5, its all the same - its all lowsec til you hit 0.0.
The place that I started at was Avenod, but its full of VETO atm. I'd recommend systems like Lasleinur, Egmar, Taff, or Hadozeko, that area has some rival pirates but if you're smart you'll be okay.

Any system that people advertise will probably sustain a loss of population, so I doubt you'll recieve very many replies. Once the "active" low-sec systems become revealed, wise miners/carebears/ect will flee the area and the "active" will return to "quiet" systems. |

Nah, carebears don't watch these boards. Even Amamake (system usually has more belt pirates than miners/ratters) has plenty of fresh meat. Hell, the best fights are vs. the other Pirates.

It's true, they don't watch these boards, or they don't care...
Otherwise by now'd they know why we're killing them, why there are big red dots on the map representing podkills, how to use the map and scanner, and to watch local. I still see bears around the galaxy doing this, so obviously there is a lack of learning going on here.

Play with the map. It can give you a lot of info.
Sec status of system, players in space and all kinds of juicy stuff.

Maybe its me, but fighting vs some of the best pirates should be fun, no? At least if its not a blob. Going to try a 1 vs 1 vs someone in veto some day, they seem to honor that sort of thing.

I just like moving down the chain from passari to amamake to egbinger. It's about 70 or so continuous lowsec systems. Get a set of bookmarks for it if possible and go to town killing everything you can. Drop loot in a few stations along the way and send an alt through highsec to pick stuff up.

If you're looking for a fight just go to top belt in Amamake and wait 10 mins. That usually does it.
All the systems around Amamake has plenty of targets. Not that many miners och mission runners but if you want a fun fight that's the place to be.

The uemon otosela tasti corridor is fairly busy with a large local...
There is a 4/10 gurista and a 5/10 drone as well as access to geminate 0.0 thru akkio--this leads to all sort of traffic, especially haulers. |

Pick a major system in another region e.g. Amarr or somewhere like that. Set that as your destination with your autopilot set to prefer lower security. It'll pretty quickly give you 30-50 jumps worth of low sec to fly through. Either set on your journey flying through systems until you find enough targets or check for the ones with the most people in space over the last 30 mins & set your destination (shortest) to that system.

Dunno about now, since I don't live in that area anymore, but when I did it was fairly devoid of carebear types. Mainly Dominion Empire peeps/remnants who're themselves piwates; in practice if not in name anywho. It did have some passerthroughs and peeps who'd try to set up residence, but disappear a week later. It's probably one of the largest stretches of low security space in the game though.
Many fond mamories dodging teh ebil piwates around Floseswin and surrounding systems, have I.

Amamake, never fail to see bad things happen there.
Only problem is it's so hectic some of the belts become rolling fights, one person getting ganked, and then someone else flying in and ganking the ganker, or in turn getting ganked.
Fun place. :)

Also Thelan, next door. I used to live there and it is used a lot for mining and missionrunning, so you can sneak in, kill someone and get out. There is a rough anti-pirate force in the area so you have to keep moving.

Edited by: Himo Amasacia on 14/07/2006 06:07:41 I've been through anamake a zillion times and I've never had anything happen to me (bar once and that was becausue of a system crash)
An idiot sniperthron trying to peg my rifter is about all and no my rifter actually did survive to be sold.
Just becasue I'm a carebear (and proud to be experianceing 100% of the game rather than the 9% that is pvp combat. And yes I do PVP too..) does not make me silly, clueless or inexerianced. Or easy.
Was podded once in Eggllehnde (or however you spell it). Guess they got sick of my hauler slipping by them with a prototype cloak so they had an entire fleet waiting for me. LOL

I suggest they you don't jump right into it.
1)If you can't fly a BS, you have little chance to get them at stations or gates without support.
2)When your sec status starts dropping, people will just start safespotting immediately, and you'll quickly learn why gate camping is more popular than belt piracy.
As an alternative suggestion, consider joining an empire pirate/merc corp for now. Use a 3rd party spotter and warpto point to get the jump on soft targets with concord approval in the next system over. When your wallet blooms from this activity, then you can fund the start of a profitable pirate career.
Alot of pirates quit when they feel they can't do much more in the role, or cycle in and out of 0.0 politics. In some ways, empire ganking is often more interesting from a roleplaying perspective, because is the potential for such a wide variety of contacts. CCP has made brazen piracy increasingly one-dimensional over the years.

You dont need a BS to kill stuff at stations and gates, for poping haulers a BC works fine, mabye even better due to its faster lock speed. Plus with a cheap BC setup you lose almost nothing when your ship goes down.
