So for how many players is the game?
only 2? (like starwars CCG) from 2 to ? but was ment for 2 (like magic CCG) from 2 to ? but was ment for at least 4 (like V-TES CCG)
Some additional game info would be nice. _________________________________________________________

Oh, gawd, I'm such a nerd...
I just had a mental image of 'Warhammer-esque' models of Eve Ships...
That would be something I'd buy into, if they weren't so damn expensive
I would definatly buy that if only to have the models of some ships!

Originally by: James Damar Damn I really wanna order both sets, I'm an ex-ccg junkie (so yes damn you for doing this CCP) and I'd love to get these, but I can't seem to get past the order page because when I try and get something in the cart it's telling me I have to enable cookies, now I've tried everything even going as far as downloading Firefox but it still saying that :(
You have to go thought the store link on the left hand side, i have found that going thought the link on the right does not work.
It must be something to do with not go thought the frount door of the store.

Looks kinda cool.
Although I don't know anyone near my home who plays EVE (Obdam, Noord-Holland anyone?) and I even know less people who would like to play EVE-cardgame with me, still as a EVE-addict a voice in my head screems "buy it, buy it, buy the matari/ammar pack" (hardcore Matari)
So actually, since I know I'll never gona play it I seriously wanna have it damn addiction...
*looks in wallet* "ohnoos... empty..."
PS Selena, by E.F.F. do you mean Elf Fantasy Fair? (bij Kasteel de Haar??)

The starter kits and the ability to buy booster packs will be available when the CCG hits retail.
Pre-orders are only for the 471-card Megapack, with a guaranteed premium card since one Booster in each display box (which contains 25 booster packs) always contains one premium card.
How the game is played will be available on the EVE CCG website shortly.

To clarify a bit: premium card = foil (shiny!), and a booster box contains at least one rare premium card. In addition, each booster has a 50% chance of containing a premium card which can (depending on luck) be common, uncommon or rare.
Also, looking forward to reading more about how the game is played. ---

From the E:ON Sampler (which is free download and linked earlier in the thread): "How does the game differ between 2, 3 or 4 people? I realized almost from the very start that this game would and should be no less fun in a multiplayer game. In fact we played a three-player game during the second play-testing session and we had a blast. This arrives mainly from the functions of the multiple regions in play and the strategic resources players gain from controlling them.
There are no additional rules going from a two-player game to a three-plus player game. I've been fortunate enough to have a group of exceptionally talented beta testers. Depending on which game they've grown most accustomed to before, they have difference expectations to a good CCG. While some of the will only play the two-player game, others fancy the multiplayer version." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are interested in your local hobby shop carrying the CCG, send me an e-mail. I'll forward the information to the CCG Devs.
Don't let the mega box pricing set anyone off, the pricing is very competitive with other CCGs in the industry and the quality is outstanding.
The game can be played with more than 2 decks.

Thanks for the answer! me and my friends purchased 2 sets (splitting the 4 of each starter deck +12 boosters to each) so it'll be nice to get the game and try it out ;-) hopefully it's good enough to append onto the already insane addiction to eve that I possess heh.

$100 is far too expensive for glorified top-trumps tbh. Im sure they are cool and all, but i think the price is too excessive considering they are just playing cards.

I could live off the crumbs on my keyboard for a week.
Perhaps they should coat the cards in some sort of edible, non-sticky goo?

Not being big into the card games, I'm not eve sure what CCG means, something Card Game I assume; I still think I am going to buy each set just for the sake of having it. I think it would be pretty neat to have a "portable" EVE. Not too many people in my area....actually, nobody in my area has ever heard of Eve. Actually, I take that back, I got one person into the game, but he quit. I'd treat these 2 card games more like the old marvel comic book cards rather then an an actualy game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

OMG, I was already planning on attending to try my wits at this, but now CCP is going to be there TOO! Now I really have to go.
I've looked under the Exhibitors and Events list and I can't seem to find CCP anywhere. Will you be there for the entire convention or just on certain days? Will there be a cover fee like some of the other events?
Will this event just be a demo to show off the game, or will there be some sort of tournament with EVE swag also?
Thar be Pirates

Edited by: Kiera Alise on 21/06/2006 03:53:13 Edited by: Kiera Alise on 21/06/2006 03:52:14 Well, I'll go ahead and say that I preordered one of each MegaPack (I've done more expensive in the past, believe you me ).
However, the store said that it sent a confirmation e-mail, but I have yet to receive it (it has been a few hours). I still have my order in the store itself, so I'm not too worried, but I still wonder when it will show up.
Also, is DHL a company where you have to sign for the packages? I've never personally dealt with them, so I don't know. I just want to make sure they won't be just thrown on the porch with my random weather where I live (sunny for 8 hours, torrential downpour for 1 hour). That would be really bad...

Is there going to be a CCP booth? Indy is a pretty short trip for me and I'd certainly like to hang out with ccp people and sploit them at their own game!

Does anybody else find it silly that they'll produce a collectable card game, but they won't produce ship models because sales projections are estimated as low?
Ummm... logic in thought? I see none... but... maybe I'm the only one who would rather pay $100 for a model Megathron (or battleship of any race/type) instead of $100 for a deck of cards. --- --- --- ---

It's far to expensive, even in Uk money is around 50 quid, i think ccp should think about lowering the price of offering set decks fro small amounts of monye not massive amounts
