I know that this has probably been suggested before. In Game Killboards would be so nice instead of everyone being all over in different sites. We should just have them ingame and have all sorts of cool ranking systems and stuff. It shouldn't be that hard to do, would it?

While I agree an "Official" Killboard would be nice (you know one that's updated automatically whenever a ship is killed, without the hassle of copying kill mails and getting on your corp/alliancemates case about not posting them, etc). However I think there is a server issue that's involved. Extra database storage and bandwith used and all that.

24 hour delay and perhaps a maximum of the past 30 days.

i don't believe it's a good idea, for intel reasons. and because it would make locator agents semi-obsolete. Even with the 24 hour delay it wouldn't be balanced. ---------

I agree....it would make it to easy for people to find out where you operate at if you are keeping a low profile or flying ops in hostile space or thru back routes or something like that. I think it adds more fun when you have to work to get your intel...makes it a little more realistic.

That and a lot of people wouldnt enjoy being listed on such a killboard, i personally would be interested at all in having my kills and losses listed. Poorly secured KB's are an excelent source of information about your enemy. -----

So instead I have put my latest kill in my signature complete with a link to our corp's killboard so you can find out where I operate that way.
Seriously... you need 'Think before I speak' upped a few levels mate.

killboards just lead to more pointless ganking as players shoot anyone they can just to pad their count. I remember it happening in planetside after they added the kill/death meter.. players stopped caring about the objective and worried that their score wasn't high enough.

Go to my corp killboard and tell me what my setup was during my last death. Good luck.
To save you the trouble, youll find only corp members can view that info. The listings of kills and deaths is not what i would hate about a KB, its having my setups publicly posted for everyone to see.

The point in question here is location. At least that is what I gathered from the post prior to yours. Your post did not specify that you would rather not have people see your ship setups... Which ultimately means which gun your final blow was with, not your entire setup. I have yet to see a killmail listing the winners' entire ship setup.
Having noticed you respond to a post regarding the location intel of targets, and not further broadening your response, it is implied that you are referring to location only.
I did look, and I did think. Your point is moot, unless you simply do not wish your enemy to know which module fitted to your ship attained 'the final blow'
