My vote is for drone interfacing. A single skill that doubles the effect of an entire class of weapons? Yes please. Now if only there was Projectiles interfacing...

Drones are weak without drone interfacing though.
Personally, I think Energy Emission Systems are crazy, train it up and you have a guaranteed win button for any ship smaller then yours that gets too close.

if it'd make you feel better I'd be very happy to have my drone interfacing skill reverted to its old +1 drone control bonus(that is, +1 to how many drones you can have in space) and the drone bays on my drone ships adjusted accordingly.
but I bet you don't like that idea either....

He was asking about the skills right, cause then it's the weakest since it doesn't actually give a bonus. ;-)

Depends how you define "overpowered".
Biggest skill effect: learning skills. Compare someone with learning skilsl and without after a year.
Allows use of modules with the biggest effect with the least amount of necessary training: Electronic Warfare.

Simply put: lager nosferatu modules.
On a frigate, it can drain only so much and affect very little the bigger ships as they have more cap to contend with
But on battleships (and to an extent cruiser-class), the difference is huge. It's 24km range and can near instantly drain the entire cap of a frigate, disabling weapons and tanking abilities alike.
Hence why nos = death to smaller ships.

I would think that several of the missile skills have a tremendous effect, but with missiles being missiles they are not as uber powerful as one would hope.
The most bang for your buck you get from: "Drone Interfacing" as there is as far as I am aware not a single other skill that gives you a 100% more damage when trained to lvl5 (20% at each level)

I think they should give us capital nos, 1000 cap drained every 24 seconds with a range of 48k would rock, and give you guys something to really complain about.

drone bays were 1/2 on all ships with rmr and the drone interfacing changed to a damage bonus. This was to reduce lag with the amount of drones.
Its not an overpowered skill, its a compensation skill for having 1/2 drones we use to be able to have. if you want that skill for projectiles I see no problem with that if you follow the same rules... 1/2 turrent slots...

Umm, that was done to reduce the stress on the servers caused by drones. It used to be that you get an extra drone per level. Now you get almost the same thing w/ the 20% bonus per level and there arent so many drones running around.
Not to mention its cheaper to loose 5 drones doing double damage instead of 10 drones doing regular damage.

I have a clue to sell. Would you like to buy it?
CCP halved the drone bay size of ships, and doubled the damage of the drones by changing this skill from +1 drones controlled to +20% damage per level in RMR, to reduce lag in fleets. This means that with comparable (3-4m SP) skillpoints invested in drones (i.e. heavy drones 5, drone interfacing 5, drone spec 4) you do similar damage over time to someone with 3-4mil SP in gunnery.
It's exactly the same as it was before pre-RMR. The skill ain't overpowered, there's no such thing, because everyone has access to them. _____________ The day I receive my first moderator forum-sig hijack is the day I realise I have won Eve.

Gotta agree with Drone Interfacing.
What annoying is, because every ship over frigate size has a drone bay, you need it at level 5 to really compete in ANY Cruiser or larger ship.
You could be in a totally non-drone boat ship like a Vagabond and you'll get your ass kicked by a Vaga with 5 light drones and drone interfacing 5 more than you would if you were missing any other skill.

Well, we can also run 1/3 as many drones as we used to, so I'd say it equals out partner 8) The damage is also very flaky since large and medium drones take forever to get to target, have limited range, and sometimes don't attack even after telling them to 8 times.
Let's be fair... drones suck for anything but limited short range situations, with some luck thrown in. Plus you lose them a lot if you need to get out in a hurry since they never come back into drone bay unless you are flying towards them.
Edit: forget about using them in a lagfest
My vote on most overpowered skill is target jamming. A noob can neutralize a HAC, unless they fit an ECCM, with nearly 100% certainty with 2 Initiated multispecs and a sensor booster. That's why my alt packs them 8)
HAC training = FOREVER ECM + Sensor booster, under a week.

I won't argue the specific points, but experience with TCGs has taught me that general attitude is wrong.
If a skill is not a basic utility skill (ie learning, spaceship command,) but has an effect great enough that you either MUST have that skill or MUST fit specifically to counter it in order to have even odds against it, that skill is overpowered. Regardless of whether or not it's available to everyone.
