BoB the warmachine, yada yada yada... that's great and all but,
the ideology behind the force is what lures me.
I had that feeling back when SA vs CA. You guys remember knowing what was needed then but somewhere after all this time it's forgotton by many. After the dissolvement it slowly but surely turned into alot of corps going for the "Me Me Me" factor and the all mighty ISK.
Not every corp but several and this is not in anyway me judging what corps wanted to do (it's your game), rather my role in the corp and consequently in the alliance. I had a fundamental notion of what i wanted to do in the world of Eve. I wanted to fight on the side of right and fly with the wingman who'd give me his clonevat.
It - I got so lost when the objectives where gone.
Watching what goes on and whats written, there's one Alliance left, originally intact. Uh-huh you guessed it.
They Challange the strong.
It's what they do. With that goal always first, thier members have a reason to play Eve and have fun. Little politics if any really. BoB wants, BoB go gets. Not make a deal or nap at heels but get it, whatever it is...similiar to earning it, and when you do that it's O so gratifying. This is not endorsing the beat of drums rather acknowledging the reward of cooperation and the spirit of teamwork.
I suspect also that BoB leaders pay mind to BoB soilders and citizens. For it is they who make BoB, not the otherway around.
This is my opinion and i am an outsider looking in like many. There will be *****lisp comments and flames but no matter. We all want to be successful in our adventures/ventures in eve. I just want to do it with a good group, that can adapt and grow as well as learn to face the ever changing landscape that is eve.
So back to the subject.
I want my shot to be ammo in a T2 railgun that can blast a blackhole in the heart of the universe...
In these times of gankfest, few will throw a gauntlet and challenge. There are many who are still grouped but are clearly shadows of thier former state, entity's in quagmires, or outright non-exsistant.

i started the game with xanadu, coming from the game planetarion with a buddy called 'see' and a buddy called 'cho'.
while waiting for our new upgrades to our pc's to play eve me and see spent the time talking about the game eve and what we wanted to do in the game. we decided one night to come up with our names
for some reason we came up with for me - stizum hilidii and for see - sizum milidii
cant remember why though think i was drunk at the time. most of my enemies though even call me as target by the name stan

People join BoB because they like the way that we play the game, not because they "think its the winning team". At least, thats how I interpreted the post.
FYI. Paraphrasing the OPs post incorrectly damages your integrity, not his.

You don't start a public a-kissing post because you like an alliances style. I guess flattery works on you ;)

Hi,
If you want to get into BoB, asking randomly in the forums is not going to get you anywhere near us.
In fact it's more likely that we will laugh your application out the door.
Have fun in eve.
Thanks, dbp

Heh, I remember a target living about 20 seconds longer than it really should have once. All because Phonix couldn't pronounce the name.

I actually don't know why the OP needs to humiliate himself in front of BoB, who eagerly jumped on the opportunity. Everyone knows how BoB works (at least everyone who thought about it for at least a while). I won't write down the reasons for their success (as there's no intention to place another ode to BoB in this thread). To cut it short, it doesn't matter what your personal qualities are, BoB will not recruit you unless you are not a good FC or (preferrably "and") a celebrity with 30mill sp.
If you like the way BoB work, why won't you try to do something similar (only on a smaller scale). And it looks like they seriously consider your application

Signed. If only I knew about target calling when I made this damn character 3 years ago.

That's so far from the truth it makes my eyes bleed just reading it.
RKK has never hired someone because they were a good fc, a celebrity or someone with 30mil sp.
We only hire people based on recommendations from people within RKK of people.
The only thing we really need is proof that you will prolly fit in well to our corp, aren't an idiot and are trustworthy.
It's ALL about your personal qualities.
I couldn't careless if someone had 3 million sp or 30 million sp because I will still turn them into a killing machine.
I also prefer not to take on "celebrities" because they usually crap and can't play as part of a team.
Finally, we have enough FC's that it doesn't matter whether you have ever led fleets before, we'll train you up to do it and let you lose.
