They Challange the strong.
The single most potent player force in EvE challenges who? More to the point, who challenges them? If you want a challenge fight them instead of join them.
With that being said, I have great respect for what BoB can do. They have some of the wealthiest individuals, largest corporations, greatest amount of natural and artificial resources and strongest leadership in the game. Some insinuate GMs and Devs are amongst their ranks. If you want to play EvE on easy there you have it - join BoB.
Me, I don't like easy mode. I'll continue to fight bob when and where I can be effective.
I don't like easy mode either, I'd love to have a big challenge. But what do you want us to do about it ? Disband the alliance ? Leave all the people you have been playing with for 2 years and join some random other people just to get a fight ?
Having a challenge is nice, but playing with people you like in an enviroment that you like is more important for me. I will never leave RKK. If RKK or BoB would disband I'd probably leave the game, not because I want to be on the winning side, but because I just wouldn't be able to get the same amount of enjoyment from the game in any other corp or alliance.
I see your point.
The way you feel about RKK is the way I feel about CELES. They are not just corp mates, or other pilots - they are friends. I wouldn't consider leaving CELES either, and if CELES folded I would likely quit the game.
I remember back to a time when RKK and CELES were friends, and I know a LOT of the same pilots that were there then are there now. Those pilots helped RKK/BoB become what it is today - NOT an easy feat by anyone's standards.
My post is not to incumbent members but those who wish to join you - THEY are the ones trying to play on easy. To me, it is a cowardly path, to try to join a side that is already winning, or is already overwhelmingly strong.

I don't know to many BoB members. Don't really care to know any sheep alliance members really. However, I think if you could show your worth to them or any alliance without kissing up. Then I think you might have a shot at being looked at. I like to think BoB recruits on good recommendations instead of swallowing up everyone they can find. I think anyone who would want to join might have a better chance at aiming towards that. Course I could be totaly out of line in suggesting this but then again it wouldn't hurt to try.
Just my 2 cents
