So a named spawn on lvl 2 of Worlds Collide drops faction loot and respawns as well?
Good god, now I know why mission running characters sell for so much! |

Well, me too use to solo farm WC missions all night long.. Making 40m in bounty in a lill more than 2 hours by doing both gates two time. Overseer spawn is a joke. I remember having three 3-4m Shadow or Dread spawn 1 night, farming 2 WC missions alternately. I got some faction mod + the usual faction ammo and tag (so far, 14 DG 7 SS crystal tag).
loot combine with agents offers are just pillup in base until .. don't know, something terrible happen
setup:
Rattlesnake
6 arby siege 1 faction NOS 1 tractor (essential in WC)
2 faction inv field 1 ballistic hardener tech2 1 faction AB 1 faction XL SB 1 target painter PWNA
1 Local hull cargo wich keep me from returning to base cuz of full cargo after clearing each gate 1 PDU tech2 2 faction PDU 2 BCU tech2

The corpum/gist version of the mission should be made a bit easier (maybe get attacked by 1 spawn at a time? or pick 2 factions with the same damage types). Its not good when in 1 region you can get so much isk from it and in the other you cant get past the first stage solo. -------

I had this mission last night, (the serp/gurista) version. First stage went fine, without any problems. I warped in and moved towards the Serpentis gate, while i target the 4 Guardian Angels (scramblers). They pop and i start on the BS and lastly the cruisers. I warp into stage 2 and land right in the heat, with everyone agroing me, i try to take the Guardian Angels (6 of them there) but needles to say i cant keep my tank up (run out of cap) and i pop. How on earth are one supposed to manage that pocket? I fly a Raven with T2 fittings, 7m SP good missile and enginering skills.

Had the Serp/Gurista version of this last nigth as well.
Cleared the first pocket with help from my friend, both in armor tanking Domi's, him with 350's in the highs, me drawing main aggro as I have a stronger tank setup.
Jumped into the 2nd pocket, managed to kill a couple of BC's, but both kept having to warp out as our tanks couldn't keep up with the damage dealt. (for the record I had 2x large repper II on permarun, active kinetic and thermal hardners, 1x adaptive nano II). By the time we ran and came back the 3rd or 4th time the webbing frigs had already respawned and we still hadn't made any real headway on the biggies. Decided to leave it then..
Bit gutted this mission doesn't seem possible in a drone ship (or even 2).

I have soloed this mission in a Deimos.
Like others have said, the first level is easy enough to clear out. I chose the Serpentis Gate.
The second level, however, is considerably more difficult and I chose to high-tail it to the jump gate rather than try to take on the various spawns in there. Too much trouble trying to manage all that aggro with all those spawns so close together.
The third level can be cleared out as easily as the first level.

You can single pull each spawn without any problems of aggroing other groups except if you use drones or a 2nd person for the mission.
Even on the last gate, where you warp in and there are 12 battleships less then 5k from you you can just sit there and kill each spawn without aggroing till your ready.
Just remember, no drones or buddy.

This is simply not true in the blood/ angels version of the mission. Both groups will aggro you, drones or no drones, approaching either gate or staying at the warp in point, solo, or not. I know from first hand experience, I lost 4 battleships trying everything I could think of. Everything I read said what was happening shouldn't be happening, and then I noticed all of the posts claiming this was an easy mission had the Serpentis variant. It might be possible with a faction ship and some very expensive mods to pull off farming the Blood version solo, but I have my doubts.
For this version of the mission, you have one shot at it if you don't want to crawl at the gate cloaked for an hour or so, and that's fitting an afterburner or mwd, and running full bore at one gate or the other (I recomend the Blood side). If you hesitate at the warp in point or attempt to engage the npc's and waste any time at all during your run in, you are going to be flying home in your pod.

Edited by: Nocturnal Prince on 09/07/2006 17:43:25 Edited by: Nocturnal Prince on 09/07/2006 17:42:29 WC lvl 4 completed solo last night in a T2 cruise raven with 9 mill sp towards combat. Not easy, three warp-outs due to the cloud of HACs that insta aggros when you get on the guristas second stage. A hard mission but all the more rewarding for it.
P.S. due to a bug(?) you can use the buildings in IO to stop all NPCs from getting to you. Its like shooting fish in a barrel so you could quite easyly do it in a caracal or any cruiser with enough DPS. Im not sure about doing it in 30 mins tho.
Boost Amarr or nerf the rest, give us this 'balance' that you keep talking about. |

Can someone please post some specific info on the angel/blood version of worlds collide?
What, if anything, auto-aggro's after jumping through each gate? Just wondering if each stage is going to be like the first with everything coming at me instantly.

Did this for the first time last night. No problems whatsoever. First stage only the Serpentis agro which i clear before agroing and killing the guristas. Second stage, still only one of the spawns agroed so I clear the spawns one at the time. Third stage where all 12 BSs are really close, only only a few of them agro at warp in and I clear all three spwans with no hassle. I never launched any drones unless I was sure there was only one spawn left. I can imagen this mission will be hard without a gist booster as the tank needs to be kept up for quite some time but the gist b-type booster is the only expensive mod I have on my regular Raven. For the the angel/blood version, if it's so that both factions agro at the first stage, then that might be a bug. I can't really belive it's suppose to be that hard ________________________________________________

I'm thinking of trying this but I want some advice...
I only use a bhaalgorn for L4 missions, but I really don't want to lose it here...
This is what I do...
I have 3 faction webber and 2 cap charger II. The webbers let me dual web any frig at 19km so they instapop with 8 megapulse II. When I put all 3 webbers on any frig it instapops also if they got under 5km ... This should help with the no drone set up...
I don't use NOS as I have an awesome cap anyway and with 8 megapulse plus perfect gunnery, things just pop pretty fast since I am webbing bs, bc, and cruisers at 19km too...
For the lows I can tank anything more or less given 10000armor and an assortment of faction hardeners...
SO, I'm thinking of various set-ups for this mission...
1) 5 cap charger II, dual LAR, and drones for the frigs
2) 4 cap charger II, cap booster charger, three armor repairers and then drop the megapulse for dual heavy or something...
3) 5 faction webbers, web everything at 20 km, kill 5 things and cycle them so I can stay at multifrequency range...
Any ideas appreciated, especially for the 2nd level which seem to cause all the fuss. |

trust me.. the frigs ar not the problem on this mission. work out a good tankin setup and u'll be fine. i usualy kill the frigs teh last. if u align to a anchorpoint in space (station/gate) u can insta warp out even if webbed.

yeah it is possible to solo it, i solo'ed it last night in my raven. came close a few times to the ugly lag issue, but did manage it, although i picked the gruitas gate (sp) which i was told was the hard gate :(.
just posted to this thread. same topic, has my setup in http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=362803

Reading the posts, some claims to good loot is see, well i did expect to get something good, due to the type of ships your shooting and how hard they are to others, in other missions, yet i found nothing of interest at all, and in the end didnt bother with it.
Can anyone confirm some decent loot, which you can get from this mission

I solo'd the Serp/gurista one in a megathron with this setup
6 x 425mm Tech 2 rails 2 x assault launchers loaded with bloodclaws
4 x cap recharger 2
2 x Tech 2 large armour reps 1 x kinetic hardener 1 x thermal hardener 1 x Adaptive nano 2 2 x CPR
The key with this is to kill the frigates and cruisers as fast as possible as they do huge ammounts of DPS to you, also you will have to toggle the second rep to keep your tank up. my tactic is this use 1 rep and all your guns untill the rats get too close then switch off your guns and use drones to kill off the frigates and cruisers.
The two assault launchers allow you to kill the frigates very quickly in combo with your drone. as has been mentioned you must keep a close eye on your drones as they have a nasty habit of getting aggro.
I managed to keep my armour no lower than 40% and my cap was around 35% during the mission.

Edited by: Jim McGregor on 11/07/2006 17:13:12 Im worried about doing stage 2 in this mission, because it sounds like you can get killed instantly at warpin. Doesnt sound like alot of fun...
Edit: Tried the serpentis gate to stage 2 and it was not possible to do in a standard raven with 80/80 resists, despite a cap injector. 4 battleships and 4 cruisers shooting at you is simply too much dps. I would say you need faction gear to solo this.
I managed to warp out without dying though, which is a plus.... --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

Is this mission info still valid?
I wondered if you enter the first gate (not the entrypoint where you get in the mission without a gate) that if you use drones, will that aggro all spawns? Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, you will not be counting days, or months, or years but milleniums in a place without doors |

What I can say is : I used sometimes (rarely) drones and indeed got aggroed at first level. Sometimes while staying at entrance, got aggroed from 2nd group. So I just escape a bit from 2nd group while locking and waiting for first one to be on range, then I stop and shoot 'm up.
2nd stage is difficult and long now, because of webbing frigs at entrance (2 on each), and though they don't scramble, have to fly far from other ships to be safe enough for killing them : u kill one, and all aggro, but if u fly away, they follow u, takes a bit of time (20mn-40mn) sometimes, but with a good red and afk doing, it does not takes too much of your real time
Anyone had any luck with Overseer Faction BS spawning ? Seems so slow. And also bad ones spawning. Did have only normal overseer since kali (400-800K).
Plz evemail redeyes66 If I ever win something. |

I've done the Gurista/Serp version post Rev/Kali. I'm 4 months old, 5 mil sp Caldari flying Raven with T2 hardeners, Arbi launchers, and Gist X-type xl booster. Much of what has been said is still true.
Room1: Go the Serp side and stay away from the Guristas side. If you keep your distance, the Gurista's won't bother you. Room2: Drones seem to cause aggro, so warped out and didn't use on retry. Seemed to help. Just pick your spawns and fight carefully.
No great loot....just decent bounties and decent loot.

lv1: shooting serpentis frigates will get agro from guristas, so leave those alive and kill all serpentis before letting your drones kill the frigates. Afterwards gurista side should be no prob lv2: (gurista side) shooting frigates (gurista spy) will get you agroed from everyone, so kill bs first, then cruisers, leave the two webbing frigates last. After you clear almost everyone on stage and confident you can tank the rest, then kill the webber frigates. lv3: piece of cake.

I was unlucky enough to get my first Wolrds Collide as a BLood/Gisti mix.. Because I couldnt find it on the various mission sites I opted to go and scout in in a shuttle ..Big Mistake.. Both groups agro'd and headed towards the gate.. Now..when I jumped in with my domi with smarties ready to kill all the frigs..everything was pretty much on the warp in point. I cleared the frigs and warped out ready to get the damage dealer. Unfortunately...everything was now on top of the gate when I warped back in..:( got out alive and called some friends.
In the end, 3 of us tried to complete the first level but couldnt.. We were running a Domi with 26k of armor, a second domi fitted with 6 medium remote armor reps and a damage raven.
We lost the Tanakadomi and raven to respawns of warp jamming frigs.
The spawns were attacking everyone, switching targets at will, even when noone was using drones and the support domi was purely assisting the TAnk.
Its a nasty mission..But I played it wrong and so we paid the price.
Ive read on other forums here that some of the spawns dont agro you together, and some only use 3 damage types, which helps. Anyways..best of luck.
Next time that happens
a) Use a ship with massive resistances, not massive amounts of armour. b) Use an afterburning frig to pull the spawns away from the warp in point.
