I read recently that minmatar have lots of crap but have some of the most amazing ships as well, could someone give me a list of the great ships? currently im running a rifter and I absolutely love it, its steps above the other frigates for the cost of it and im currently soloing lvl 2 missions with ease... so im just interested in what other craft are exceptional among the broken glass with redeemers on wings that are minmatar craft =).

seems like they specialize almost exclusively in small and special version ships.

The Minmatar seem to specilise in avoiding specilisation.
Allot of their ships are versitile and capable of doing many things (which leads to people whining that they can't do anything at a spectacular level)
Some of their ships do shine through tho. as stated above, they have some truely awe inspireing ships, once you know how to use them.
Edit: and shame on you Sarmul for not mentioning the Rifter.

i thought the stileto was pretty good also bring the only ceptor with 4 meds
but i cant make an informed decission, min frig 5 in 4 more days

Wolf is nice, and it looks even better than the Jag, But i just can't bring myself to armour tank a frig.

The claw sucks.
Their good ships are:
Stiletto
Vagabond
Munin
Tempest
Typhoon
Jaguar
Their ships are the best because they are fast, which is essential for smaller groups. They have lots of mid slots which is good for EW (unlike the sucky boring amarr who can only mindlessly shoot at the primary), and they do high burst damage which is good for fleets.

Min are probably the hardest when you reach the battleship stage. Can take forever to get as good as the others but you will get there.

you forgot the Fenrir. It has the best mass (I assume that hence the agility) and velocity among the freighters, which means faster align/warp and gate approach, now aren't these the most important attributes of freighters.

all of the above ships for me are good, but what ships work for you are solely dependent on the path of skills you take, obviously with poor sheild skills you arnt going to be very good in a vagabond or jaguar and ships like the tempest require both good sheild and armor skills, coupled with good missile skills and gunnery,
now you will never use all your skills for each ship at any one time, but the minmatar need variety

Close range frigs are for chumps.
And all the smart chumps fly rifters, because they are better at close range than a claw.
The claw sucks so much ass it makes me laugh everytime I see one.

A kestrel with T1 rockets and a med shield extender can kill a close range plated claw without getting past half shield.
Even the Taranis is better than that.

You forgot Rupture. One of the slowest minnie ships but packs a good punch.

cyclone is a great ship with an ac setup. It's funny killing 180mil hacs with a 30mil setup
