El Yatta	Posted - 2006.06.29 17:08:00 - [2] No. Advanced drone interfacing does NOT give more drones - it allows more drone control units to be fitted ( 1 per level) and in turn, these can only be fitted on CARRIERS (capital ships designed for fighters). 5 is the max number of deployed drones on a dominix, and every other non-carrier/mothership except the Guardian Vexor, which is very rare and isnt really applicable here. ---\|\|---

HippoKing	Posted - 2006.06.29 17:17:00 - [6] FYI, the domi uses 5 drones max. If you see any screens of a domi with 15, they will be pre-RMR, before the drone overhaul, when the domi could launch 15 drones, which were each 1/3 as strong.

Not anymore it doesnt anymore. Youre thinking of Drone Interfacing, and that was changed a while back. Drone Interfacing now has a damage/effectiveness bonus. Drones are also buffer than they were before, but you cant have as many out at a time. The only ships that can have more than 5 drones out at once are carriers, guardian vexors, and maybe the moros (id have to check, dont remember off hand). Check out my recruiting post here

You failed to mention that there are only something like 37 (quoting from another thread) Guardian-Vexors currently in existence in the game at the moment. Fortunately, Drone Interfacing Level 5 increases the effectiveness (damage output) of each of your drones by 100% (+20% per level), so it's kinda like having 10 drones out, but less targets -- the damage dealt is like 10 drones.
