Why the hell is that crap from perfect dark on the list, and the red turtle shells in mario at number 2, but no Reedeemer?
It's basically a BFG which you can steer around...

Why no one ever metions the Stellar Converter i dont know... a weapon that can slice a planet in two surely deserves a mention 
Im glad turok got a metion with the almighty cerebral bore tho.. *****in gun tho the nuke from seeds of evil just looked snazzyer charging up and firing and generally.

Quake 2 Railgun is my favourite.
The BFG9000 was good until people figured out how it worked (rather, how it was coded) and abused it to hell.
It was split into hit and flash damage.
Hit was simply if the projectile hit someone they'd get screwed for something like 100-800 damage. This bit was OK it was the flash damage that was broken.
Flash damage was the damage done after the projectile hit something, a wall, or sprite etc. The flash damage actually originated from where the player was standing, not from where the projectile hit, and also not from where he was standing when he fired, where he was standing at the time the projectile hit something! At the point of impact 40 tracer lines, each as wide as the red or white teleport pads, were sent out in a 90 degree arc in the direction the player was facing when he fired, but from where he currently stands (so if you turned 90 degrees before the projectile hit they'd come from your hip, 180, from your ass etc), these went on forever until they hit something, if they hit a sprite, bang 16-128 damage.
All you'd do was fire it in to one room so nobody saw it leg it to another room before the projectile hit the wall or whatever and insta frag people who were no where near the projectile with no warning.
Being coded so badly it should never be on a top 10 list.

Please. Wheres the AK-47 from Counterstrike? Why the Energy Sword from Halo instead of a Lightsaber (which its obviously based on).

Cerebral bore was the source of a lot of turok 2 deathmatch fun.
The guy's wrong about the Doom chainsaw, you can get it on the 2nd level. The game's demo shows you how to get it too.
Spread gun.. meh, missiles in the later games were alot more useful.
Railgun, sniping joygasms.
Never played perfect dark, but mobile turret gun sounds evil.
Energy sword... glorified chainsaw imo.
Icebeam ftw in metriod.
BFG
Triple red shells, thosegive my brother nightmares when he thinks about mario kart. 
Gravity gun is nice and all, but I don't see it being #1.

My personal all time favorite was the Molotov*****tails from Postal. I should try and find that game, tossing them into the marching bad was brilliant.
I sort of expected to see the moonraker as well, but I guess the rail from Quake took it's spot. I was a rail gun ore.
And where is the grapple hook from Mortal Kombat?

That list could have been a lot better imo.. no Redeemer or Spinfusor (Brilliant Tribes 2 weapon).. both are way above the gravity gun in options for teamplay and general useability.
