If Curse gets first lock it can uncap a HAC. Make gunturrets "useless" (read far less effective,ie.not enough damage dealing)with it's trackingdisruptor bonus.
Soif you would take generally fitted ships: Curse vs Zealot, sacriledge >Curse wins. Curse vs Deimos >Curse wins. Curse vs Munin,Vagabond >Curse wins (dual web keep vaga at range). Curse vs Ishtar >Most likely Ishtar wins. Curse vs Cerberus >Cerberus wins unless ECM used where as Curse has no bonus though with 6 mids able to fit (though there he will have to tank the fof's)
Flipside:Curse is more so memory, intel based skillwise with even covertops as skill requirement. Also has ability to fit one damagetype good enough to do above fast(small dronebay).

A Curse will never kill a good Vaga pilot. You say dual web, but a Vagabond would never get in web range. It would still get nossed to ****, but it doesn't need cap for its guns. So either the Vaga would win, or he would get away.

Admitting it needs prolly a well skilled person ie RL not skillwise. If 2 webs on vaga wich cant use his mwd cause off nos . than trackdisruptors and being out off optimal. Would this make him hurt enough?

I agree with prolly good fight /interesting. On Curse a very likely fitting is 2 trackdisruptors. If 2 webs too, vaga will find himself in a very dangerous position. curse does not need second web if he himself uses mwd wich runs forever thanks to victory on cap.(there more skillfull)

Er, you've clearly never used autocannons. They have like 1-2km optimal, tracking disruptors don't bother them at all as they always always fight into falloff (about 20km on a vagabond with barrage). The curse is a very nice anti hac ship though, but less so against cerbs/vagas.

What people don't realise is that both the Curse and the Pilgrim die rather easily to a Claw/Jaguar/Wolf. If the Frig pilots kills the Curse/Pilgrims drones before they kill it, the Curse/Pilgrim is dead because it wont have any damage, and won't be able to Nosf any cap from the Frig to fuel its own tank.
I had a Claw take my Pilgrim to half armor before it died, and it didnt even bother killing my drones. If it did, i'd have been toast.

as said, they fight in falloff, so ur optimal cutting doesnt hurt them at all, although your tracking will hurt them, but that would only happen if u webed them and got in really really close and they had no web
but reading waht you are saying, it seems like you would try keep >10km away, and btw if u did that, vaga would turn around and by the time u relise hed be 15km away, and by the time u turn aroun hes probably be > 20km out and warp!

P.s.With interval NOS cycling in Curse (more highsloths)you prolly could have warped making the disruptor not having enough cap.

Tracking dists would have minimal effect on a vaga. The vaga just need to stay at range instead of orbiting and tracking won't be a problem and cutting optimal from 3km to 1km doesn't matter when you have 20km falloff (which is not effected by TDs). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Never tried it, but surely knocking their tracking down to 20% of what it was should cause them to miss a lot?

If you agress a Cerb you wont get to warp. The 3BCUII Cerb does 1600 volley danage every 5 secs. If he agresses you and you hit warp you are ok. If you aggress and then say oops my tank is dying I need to warp you have 5 secs to do so. Half a volley = your structure.

Yes, it can. I would still be surprised if the vaga lost trackign before curse got much closer than 10 km. if the vaga has a web itself, there's no question about which way the fight would go. If it doesn't it might get interestign for a while, but I'd still bet on the vaga.

are you a cerb fanboy? if half a volley puts me into structure why can i kill cerbs in a zealot? 1 volley with 0% resists won't even put you at half armor, let alone repping (and the fact that people should shield tank a curse)

Not to mention, most people activate nosfs/neuts all at same time. Also intys fit nosfs alot.

Also Lachesis is a very deadly 1v1 opponent.
Fit 3 nosses and 2 neuts high, 4 dampeners 2 webs and 1 20km scrambler on med. 3 nano's or overdrives on low.
Enemy has to come in your web range to lock you. Even if they do they need a horrible time to lock you. With dual webs you can keep your enemy in "death zone"(between his locking range and your web range). During that time you can usually dry out your opponents cap and slowly kill him with drones. It will take long, but it is a certain death for enemy.
Alas only viable 1v1.

What if the enemy has drones or FOF missles, and it is going to take you oh so very long to kill even a lighly tanked cruiser. Drop a web, drop a noss and the nuets, put heavy launchers on, fit a sensor booster, and fit a tank that can at the very least hold up to minor drone/fof fire.

There is no way in hell a non-jamming curse will take down an AC muninn unless the pilot was a total idiot.
The vagabond's prefered fighting range is 15km+ unless you know the ship doesn't have webs.
The Sacri will probably have a cap booster fitted, partially negating your nos.

Edited by: KilROCK on 30/06/2006 21:41:04 Shesh.............. You never actually flown either ships or something?
Most pilgrim/curse cookie cutter setups will make you invulnerable against most cruisers/af/frigates, saying you almost died to a claw is rather unbelievable or you're plain stupid (♥ btw).
You'll hardly find alot of pilots flying pilgrim/curse without 1 or 2 multispec or racials, so saying 'there is no way a non EW curse would kill an AC muninn' is pretty pointless.
If you never seen how ****ty your vagabond will track at 15km with barrage or EMP or whatever with a tracking disruptor with decent skills, you're kidding yourself and should avoid even posting.

Running away means you want the warp core stabs... atleast one.
Otherwise, against a good Curse pilot... a Vaga will die.
Do Curses fit any guns and could they break the shield regen on a 2x Large shield extender vaga? Seems like the vaga could just use his drones to kill off the Curse's drones.
*edit ah nm curse has 5 meds and 5 lights.
