Good you reported it, but there is no reason to freak out. From the patchnotes is so clearly an unintentional side effect, that I a not worried (lost 5->3). It will be fixed tomorrow or in a few days the latest. |

I checked all my characters. They all still have the skill. I dont think CCP removed any skillpoints that were trained. I get the impression that the gift of lvl5 was changed to a gift of lvl4. Which is still free SP. Which I never had concerning that skill. |

Yeah I have no doubt that it will be fixed, eventually. But until then it is not giving us the benefits that we spent time (and thereby money) to train. |

Confirming all of my alts are showing random levels of skill in evemon for DA. Some are on 3, 4 or 5. Sent a petition. Not impressive at all, considering this issue was pointed out ad nauseum by members of the community. |

After clearing cache, the game client says I have drone avionics 5 - as I expect - but applications using the API say I have drone avionics 4.
It doesn't inspire confidence. |

Confirmed issues here... 2 accounts show Drone Avionics 5 but I can no longer use a Drone Link augmentor II now 
1 account was lvl 5 Drone Avionics and now it was rolled back to lvl 3. shows GM gift lol ... Thanks for the gift !

I've got nothing against the coder who scripted this skill transfer, mistakes happen. What is annoying though is this issue with the DLA was pointed out multiple times by the community to both CCP Fozzie and Rise, and they simply ignored it. Only then to get some poor coder who is probably fatigued from implementing the massive crius release to do a hash fix for them.
If they actually listened to feedback as Greyscale has done excellently during this Crius transition, then this hash fix would have never been needed in the first place. |

Speaking as a programmer myself, I agree with the sentiment. However, skillpoints are an indirect form of currency in this game in that you can exchange them (in a prepackaged character form) for isk, or even more indirectly, for a different prepackaged combination of them. In that regard I imaging that some people are feeling like they just woke up and found their bank accounts light by a few hundred [insert currency here], and are justifiably confused and upset.
These are the sorts of changes you announce BEFORE you make them, so people know they're coming. It doesn't change the WTF? moment you'll have when you see the error, but at least you had some warning that they were changing something that logically cound have caused this.
tl;dr: They should have announced this change ahead of time - a link on the launcher would not have been overkill when you're dealing with people's skillpoint totals.

No. Just make sure you only clear the cache. If you accidentally click to clear settings instead you will not be very happy. |

thanks. cleared my cache files and confirming that i didn't lose any levels in my Drone Avionics, Light Drone Operation and Medium Drone operation skills, all at level 5.

Yeah, my Drone Avionics has fallen to 4 as well. Cleared cache and it's still at 4. EVEMon is telling me I have it to 4 as well.

Confirming that this is indeed a known issue and we are working on a fix to reverse it. This morning when we deployed Crius 1.2 some of you accidentally got a second instance of the Drone Avionics skill book injected in your heads which is causing the issues mentioned in this thread.
We'll be deploying a fix for this very soon, but in the meantime if you are affected by this issue please file a support ticket and we should be able to sort you out. |
