Launched scan probes, here we go - shuttle. 2 member corp. Staying near planet with POS too.
So, info leaked to at least 2 entitys
We decided to keep this pos for a few week, to attract enemy, and provide us with fun :)
I hope bob will provide us with more challenge, than 300+ ascn did, and we will congratulate them with birthday.

So your story is that you put up a capital shipyard POS and kept it running for weeks without starting anything building? AIUI you can't abort the build once it's going (or at least you lose all the components if you do). And you say you only found out we knew it's location 4-5 days ago, so...
Guess we'll find out tomorrow if you come and defend it or not. Or is that all "just for fun"? Hmmmm. Should be interesting either way...

A little update...
RAT/SA jumped through the gate 30 secs before DT and stayed cloaked until the server went down. They then used the log in/log off/log in again trick to avoid warping back to the gate. BoB/20th/XS set up on the gate while RAT/SA regrouped.
At about 11:30 game time, a RAT/SA interdictor warped to the gate followed closely by the rest of their fleet.
Stats:
BoB/20th/XS losses...: 3 BS + 2 support.
RAT/SA losses............: 22 BS + 16 support.

Props for trying though... .

Its true that we lost 23+ battleships. All our fleet got probed by our own interdictor.
Human factor *sigh*.
Numbers. Well. We had 40 in gang, with 26 battleships at the moment of jumping @ enemy fleet. Local reached 130 at its peak. We still jumped in close range
May be it was suicide, but without crazy moments like this - EVE would be boring.
Is mothership building @ pos ? I guess you will be able to check it in 1 hour.

Darko you can offcourse always choose not to jump in but when your gang has as manny BS as we have in the entire gang it just raises some questions why would not jump in and engage us at that moment as tho odds were in your favourish.

Fine. We had a gang of around 50, yours was 30~. We had 18 battleships, you had 25. However we had a few more ravens. Your fleet was situated well off the gate, with an interdictor bubble on the gate. Unlike everyone of your ships, ours dont all have MWD's, therefore the bubble would have been a big hinderance.
This is how it would go. We would jump in, there would be a bit of lag, we would have to get all our tacklers on top of you before they died. Considering you were moving around the gate every so often, a covert could not be used. While we would be unable to warp off due to the bubble, you would merrily warp in and out with ease being so far away, therefore, your 18 warpable BS out number our our ZERO.
On top of that, you are bob, you all hit hard, while all the BS's i had in my gang also hit hard, the odds were stacked heavily in your favour, even though we had 7 more BS's. If you were NFC or ASCN, i would have undoubtedly jumped.
If your thinking, "I would have jumped into the bob gang with what they had", thats why your in ASCN.

Everybody makes mistakes and I'd be willing to bet the interdictor pilot doesn't make the same mistake twice. Also it will be interesting to see what happens when RAT aren't outnumbered 2:1, I'm still impressed they engaged.
Only time will tell and it's not the point of this thread to speculate.
Onto the topic at hand: Happy birthday to BoB. I haven't been playing EVE as long as you guys have been around but I've fought against you before and have been impressed. You guys also gave me my first thirst for PvP back when I was in NORAD.

From what I gather about the fight, RAT were outnumbered and lost a fight.
Having flown with ATUK and with RAT, if theres one thing I know. Both are exceptionaly good PvPers.
In an even fight, things could go either way. This one wasn't.
Ofcourse, the goal for BOB was something else (POS/shipyard stuff).

Just checked it now. Its easy to complain about numbers, but numbers have never won the day alone. Not before, not now, and not in the future.
Epic battles and empire building (what BoB crowd wants, as you say) is about limiting the effect of numbers in the outcome of things, putting individual skill into a fleet battle and bringing tactics into blobs. But anyways! Off topic :(

Now onto the fight. Give credit where credit is due, RAT/SE jumped into a superior force of numbers. They lost severely because of one of their interdictors making a critical error, but i think they used the best tactics that were available to them at the time. RAT/SE tactics to get into the system were stretching the limit of game mechanic exploitation, but not breaking it.
Once in the system, the fight was looking more even then the numbers suggested, RAT/SE had more BS's and they were majority turret based. If they had warped in 150km from us then they may have gotten a couple of more kills. But with so little support that they brought they were always going to die. So well done on engaging RAT/SE.
The real question that remains unanswered is why would they suicide 40 ships? perhaps there was a mothership inside? guess we will never know .....

I'd say BoB are not great... yet, but i have no doubt that they will be. I believe eve hasnt been going on long enough or gained the required aspects (Factional warfare, outposts structures, constalation sov), for any alliance to be deemed "great" yet.
However, there is no doubt BoB have great aspects to them, thier capital ship fleet is probly the biggest of anyone's, they have the biggest industrial capacity of any other entity and thier pvp force is currently the most powerful in EvE. Thier infrastucture is the most solidified and their dedication is immesnse, they have the best in and out of game communication and are probly the most familyish alliance second to what G was. Even though they are a load of arrogant bastards on the forums .
To imply that they havent really achived anything of any substance really would be stupid. However I do see your point that they havent really shown us what they can do. Blacklight mentioned the conquering of many alliances, though FU, NSA, Imp and FA were crap, and all that was needed was constant pressure to break them. They conquered the big powerful PA with bajillions of other alliances, though admitedly, they were the most influential of them all.
Once EvE hits kali, i think we will see BoB rise to greatness, and i think they will be the only ones to do so for a long while.

Just in the interest of debate, and taking me as a one of the members of the aforementioned community, I'd say a sharp cut on the amount of "forum warmongering" (and no, I don't mean molleposts per se) and general flaming/flamebaiting/smacking in and out of game would significantly inrease your popularity ratings.
I should say that it mostly refers to your newer IGA corporations, though (yes, I still have more (ex)ATUK members in my blocked list than any others combined, and I only block people when their output on local becomes unbearable).
Achievements are one thing, respect is another. Just the one (probably all grown with mildew now) chatlog of ATUK dealings with FSA and the language used caused me to forever lose all respect for certain people, just as example.
I'm not bothered by any of it really, just my personal point of view on that "greatness" thing, commence standard disclaimer about not representing corp/alliance, blah-blah.

No one ever said we were going to win the universe through popularity. Greatness should be obtained through deeds and accomplishments. Popularity should never be a measure of greatness.
I have only very rarely seen BoB smack in local, and normally when we do smack we are not the instigators. Most our fights are smack free, the way it should be IMO. The exception is when deathwing or siddy is in gang, even we cant control them.
I personally cant speak for DICE, with DICE being new i havent flown with them a great deal. But when i have they are great fighters and definitely BoB worthy.

Well I see this a little different here.
First we have to take into account the state of EVE that we live in. One where the majority of EVEs alliances are not allowing their members to post with their mains. They actually have internal rules against participating in forum discussions, with extreme censorship.
As a result of this, there is a ridiculous amount of alt posts in almost every post in these forums. Because we cannot see the origin of these alts (most times) we have to assume that they represent all the other alliances in EVE who support (by not allowing their members to post) rampant alt posting.
Therefore as I see it, BoB members do not flame/smack here more then most other alliances. Sure I would say that BoB do smack a great deal more then some less politically involved alliances, but in general not an excessively more then most.
"Smack Talk" and "Flames" are terms that while they have a definition, are used in a very general sense. On here what often is intended as constructive criticism, or a discussion between two foes even is always labeled one of these terms. I don't think that this is always the case though. Maybe we should look at a post twice, and think... "Is this so harsh a statement that I should loose respect for the person posting and label it flamage?"
Furthermore Just say that tomorrow every alliance in EVE tells its members that they are now allowed to post on the forums, with no restrictions other then use common sense. The forums would instantly fill with members voicing their opinions, and with todays standards and mind sets, a great deal of this would be "flames".
IMO BoB are doing fine, sure we have some members who have made posts which were unfair, but it is a low percentage of our alliance who are actually a problem. The no name alts post far more destructive threads/discussions than any BoB forum ***** team ever has/will.

Frankly, there is no other alliance in this game that has done what BoB have done. Militarily, I have yet to see anyone that can best you if you have your minds set on crushing them.

Beside that, u r so called "network" has failed twice now, with the rat and Trust yard. U may have intel whats happening in the alliances but iam pretty sure that the other iga which need to be named know whats going on too.
Anyway, i see bob as the dominating force and this is something that i do respect the ppl who have done this. I cant stand those ppl who have joined the waggon before theirs where going down the hill. Also this bring great boredom, cause with an absolut dominating force there cant be much of a change, cause as soon as bob steps in the party ends, and most pilots will run as soon as a bs undocks in jita 4-4.
So i wish u another year full of "achichments" and whatnot and hope that with kali eve gets intresting again.

enough with the "omg bandwaggoners the game is boring now". Everyone has heard that record over and over, and tbh it looks sad. ATUK before DICE was BOB, we might not have been in touch 24/7, but the bonds that were forged in the beginning of BOB were still there.
If you want to make eve interesting, you'll have to do it yourself. But as we also said before, all you alliances would rather fight for scrap, then risk it all. G/D2 always played it safe, bringing in IRON/RAZOR/CELES and asorted corps wherever they go (But ofc that's not a bandwaggon is it?).
ASCN sit in their end of the galaxy panicking at the first sight of a bob inty heading towards em.
LV are content with keeping and few regions and continuating their existence.
BOB for now, still are the only alliance that has goals, apart from getting filthy rich. The rest of you just continue to mine and whine that BOB is to big, and life is unfair.
Boo hoo.

evol and m0o can say they did that. cuz they were normal corps by numbers but with impressive skill. if u have corp with 200-300 members with high activity u r not different from alliance tbh. most of alliances dont have active ppl as u got in every single corp in bob. and btw atuk did get slapped in north couple of times, or should i say utterly PWNED by much smaller forces. i dont like forums wars but u guys r asking for them...

Every1 loses a fight now and again. That's eve. But in general more fights were won then lost, which is why the alliances up there are not anymore today.
And if you really believe atuk had 200-300 active members you need medical check-up m8. 50-60 active pilots, and the rest are alts. So hardly an alliance.

That actually is very untrue. I personlly never fit WCS on a battlehip that was fit for fighting (travel yes). Infact, it was never stated that our members should do this. Come to think of it, what makes you think we fit wcs? Wa it because your couldn't scramble us when after 20 miniutes your covert ops finally got near enough?

I have no problem with stabs, but I don't see why your asking what makes people think you fit them.
When I was down in Paragon Soul, BoB would use stabs sometimes. I distinctly remember DICE's raid gangs using stabs on their ships.
I'm not knocking you from using them, as it's not a bad setup when raiding against superior numbers/blobs. But your corp has used them in the past.

When we went north after the pos wars with RA, it was due to the fact FE, PA and NBSI had all declared empire wars (which we set to mutual). At that time PA was at the peak of its membership (post GNW reorganisaion), FE was the second biggest alliance in EVE and NBSI had all their important corps/players still.

When we went north after the pos wars with RA, it was due to the fact FE, PA and NBSI had all declared empire wars (which we set to mutual). At that time PA was at the peak of its membership (post GNW reorganisaion), FE was the second biggest alliance in EVE and NBSI had all their important corps/players still.
FE died when it was allied to u...PA was never serious alliance...thou i must admit i wasnt aware u had that much battles with NBSI.

Don ZOLA, I donĘt remember you anywhere near the north fighting against us, so how do you base your knowledge of events in the north? And if we are so easily pawened, why arenĘt you doing it now? Well he wasn't right about atuk's active members, nor about some of the stuff in D7, but that will always be open for debate. Zola made some assumptions that were wrong, and i suppose that's what metal is referring to.

Don, when you attack my corp, my ex-corp or my corpmates, you are attacking me and I will respond to your attacks like I would respond to defend you when we were in same alliance. I consider your comments about being utterly pawned by a much smaller force as such an attack. Considering you say you were there for couple of battles with a character you are too afraid to reveal, you should know better. We were there for over 6 months, made multiple alliance relocate, disband or NAP and had a kill ration of 10:1, I think we could afford to lose couple of battles, but we were NEVER utterly PAWNED by a much smaller force.
As for us being friends, well, sorry dude. I only remember your name. I never talked to you as far as I remember and believe me, there were a lot of so called friends that turned on us once we left FA.

you cant actually know things if you werent there.so stop.atuk lose some battle ofc but we won alot more then we lose.and alliances disbands because of ours uberness:P and bout stabs you cant say if someone put one two stab on hac when he go roaming alone in stain that he will put stab on fleet bs.i know some guys setups and noone from them put stabs on fleet BS setup.

well sorry but i cba to properly quote. u were utterly pwned when 4s with 13 bs engaged u while u were killing hirr pos and killed 3 dreas with no losses (2 atuk 1 fe) and when ur support warped some more ships got popped by pos. and u had like 5-7:1 odds against them in that fight.
i never said camping low empire is pvp its our way to make isk like u npc, do missions or whatever. its aswell boring but we make money for 0.0 fun that way. and if we didnt made our name for 2 years living in fd-mlj then k. everyone is entitled to his own opinion i just point when someone is bsing something that aint truth, which i said in reply to tholarim, everyone losses from time to time so claiming to be invincible (sp?) is funny.
