the time is now 12:00GMT but the Eve Online clock is 11:00GMT.
Whats up with that?
I live in Argentina and the clock is also wrong... Can CCP please change the ingame clock so that it matches my country's current time all the time? It's obviously wrong that the clock is not telling Argentina's time!

Unless its "All Hail the Emperor" week. Then things start getting a bit confusing. ---- EVE-Central.com | We've merged! We are now Moonbeam Production and Refining |

Isn't UK near Catch and Providence these days? Along with CVA, etc.

Also think about the players on the southern hemisphere. They got the seasons upside down. Summer for northern hemisphere is winter for southern hemisphere. Hence, for the countries that do have daylight savings, DST is reversed.
If EVE Servers adhered to daylight savings in the UK, the servertime would shift two hours for the people with DST in the south, instead of servertime changing by one hour for everyone living in a country with DST. ________ Capitalization is the difference between "I helped my uncle Jack off his horse." and "I helped my uncle jack off his horse."
Help the horses, make proper use of that shift button. |

Quote: Both garbage. We have exactly the same amount of daylight, whether it's from 6am till 10pm, 5am till 9pm, or 1pm until silly o'clock. Moving the time zone around does NOT increase the amount of daylight.
Stopping people from being goddam lazy and not getting up early enough, saves electricity. There's got to be a more efficient way of doing that than farting about with the clocks twice every year. Just get up at 6am instead of 8am, for crying out loud.
It increases the experaince of sun for people doing a business hour's cycle of work.

False. Business hours are 9am-5pm; in March, before the clocks go forward, it's daylight at 7am and stays light until well after 7pm. ________________________________________________

I hate changing the clocks anyhow, so what it will be darker earlier in the summer months not as we get plenty of day light at night in winter also, no biggy is it.
You have any idea how much electricity is saved, really is a lot. I have no numbers for UK though...
I don't get how its saving electricity at all... there is 24 hours in a day, and your going to have to use light the same ammount no matter what the time is __________________________________

I believe it saves electricity for the government. Namely schools and the bureaucraty since they don't need to turn on the lights as much anymore.
Of course the fact that people would need to use more electricity at home to compensate is irrelevant since only the government exists, nobody else :)
