Petitioneer: Order of St. Tetrimon Addressed to the Theology Council and Court Chamberlain
Subject: Removal of privileges connected to Cross of Sacred Throne Order for Golan Trevize
Which test reveals more of the soul ù the test that a man will take to prove his faith, or the test that finds the man who believed his faith already proven? If you know this answer, then you also know which of these challenges bear the greatest penalty for failure. The gates of paradise will open for you one time only; woe to the soul who dares to knock twice. - Book of Missions, 5:14, The Scriptures
Golan Trevize, former member of 1st Praetorian Guard and PIE Inc. Awarded with the Cross of Sacred Throne Order for his work to the Emperor and the Empire. Has now for a year neglected his services to God and the Empire and instead aligned with mercenaries only interested in their own wealth, honour and power û Not the Holy Empire.
We have witnessed here and here how Golan Trevize in attempts to seem mediating and neutral has slandered organizations loyal to the Empire. Through his stance in the conflict where ISS hired Mercenary Coalition to be their muscles in the conflict over Providence he did not show any regrets or attempts to condemn the actions of ISS as they were close to start a war with loyal pilots of the Empire.
Being a wielder of the Cross of Sacred Throne Order brings several favourable privileges as it is a nomination set in high regard within the Empire since it came to being after the Moral Reforms. The Cross should not be allowed to be worn by anyone if that person leaves the EmpireÆs service for his own personal goals and interests. This is in direct violation of ones service to God and the Empire and it must have consequences.
Orders of St. Tetrimon therefore urge Theology Council and Court Chamberlain to remove the Cross of Sacred Throne Order from Golan Trevize.
However since the Cross is a recognition for services beyond the call of duty we move with a second option where the Cross is kept but that all privileges accompanying it are stripped from Golan Trevize until that day he shows himself a worthy wielder. ò The rights to yearly exchange 500 slaves to a fresh stock ò Reprieve of imperial taxes to his family and house. ò Small contingent of Elite Guards for his personal residence ò The right to take the podium at any religious service he chooses to speak to the congregation.
It is my hope that the Theology Council and Court Chamberlain acknowledge this petition with the severity it deserves. Even if a citizen shows loyalty during times of duress; we should not idly sit back and watch them walk astray from their service in belief that their actions will forever be held in high regard when they turn their back on our Glorious Empire.
GodÆs faithful servant

*The Cosmopolite chuckles*
The petition of an outlaw religious order against an Amarrian warlord who has fallen under the sway of Mammon is one that is guaranteed to provide much entertainment for the foes of the Empire.
I congratulate you, Grand Master, in your efforts to bring more stability to God's Holy Empire... *chuckles*

Edited by: Arderich on 08/07/2006 23:07:22 I am for sure the last one who says Golan made a wise decision by joing MC but...
Grand Master Elata Ardo once said: "So it is in Amarr. Actions speaks louder than words or thoughts. There is no 'thought crime' in Amarr. A man is free to think all that they wish, so long as they do their part in God's work."
What are the crimes/actions you accuse to be done by Golan Trevize?
How can you accuse Golan and fly at the same time side by side with Graelyn, the man who was trying to hunt Tetrimon under Grand Master Elata Ardo?
Grand Master Horm, with each post you make you look more like a fool. You should protect your scriptures; they might be very valuable. But you certainly should not get actively involved in politics because you have no class at all. I miss Elata Ardo.
On a side note: wasn't the Cross of the Sacred Throne Order created after the Moral Reform and therefore an award for those who support the regime that curbed the power of the Apostels? I think Ardor thought about it years ago and now it becomes important. I will have to search for this very old thread...

Wow and here I thought Chancellor Valerious's petition to the Theology Council was frivolous and stupid. Thanks for showing me the true meaning of idiocy. Wasting the Theology Council's time with these petitions should be a criminal offense.
As everyonw knows who has met the man, Golan Trevize is a truly great Amarrian, and you are in no position to judge a servant of Amarr so superior to yourself. Spreading discord and slandering the best and brightest servants of Amarr will only serve to reveal your true agenda.
When someone like you is the best the Order of Tetrimon has to offer, it becomes very clear that I did the right thing in eradicating the previous Grand Master from existence, and I can only hope someone does the same with you and the rest of your scheming and power-hungry "religious order". |

Men are defined by their actions, rewarded for past ones through honours and stories, but if their current actions have seen them 'fall from grace' then it boils down to is he a good example for the people. A good commander he was and is, a good example to your people today, as a paid mercenary perhaps not.
Personally you can all burn in your own putrid fires of damnation for your collective crimes.

Internal conflict does not denote a lack of faith in the Empire. Amarr history is rich with feuds among houses and organization. Your own flight to my peopleÆs land shows clearly this history.
Because he had conflict with the CVA does not automatically mean he has fallen in faith. Though of course it is never a good choice to make.
His loyalties do seem with his new organization, but that does not mean he is an enemy of the Empire or should be stripped of his status.
I suppose technically he did support assaulting CVA for the ISS, which is an act of aggression against loyal paramilitaries. He obviously believed ISS was in the right, and that should be considered first before assumptions are made on his lack of loyalty to the Empire as a whole.

I await the judgement on the order of St Tetrimon from the Theology Council, until their claims are verified they should not have any saying in the dealings of Amarr.
Having said that I find myself agreeing with Grand Master Horms request. I flew under Golan and had utmost respect for him as a commander and true servant of the Empire.
His will however turned out to be weaker than one could imagine, seduced to ungodliness by a wench of a Minmatar.
His path has been chosen, his actions have reflected upon that, as have his words and his betrayal of words. His privileges and decorations should bear witness to that.
Petition supported on my personal behalf.

What is there to divide? The former Admiral left the service of Amarr and has since disgraced himself.
The Empire is stronger for maintaining moral standards.

Not really so. His presence will merely illustrate that anyone can fall from grace. He will be a textbook example of that swaying from the path of God will condemn you, no matter what.

you'll probably lose quite a bit of support for this request. It's also interesting to see how PIE treats former comrades, you really take the phrase "you're either with us or against us" to the extreme.

Edited by: Gaven Lok''ri on 09/07/2006 05:03:26 PIE does not currently have an opinion on this either way. Captain Awalabas' opinions on this subject are his own, though they should be treated seriously.
Regardless of the validity of the accusations Galnet is not the place for such petitions and I would suggest to Grand Master Horm that now is not the time for such minor issues as an Amarrian who has turned away from Amarr, yet has not harmed it in any significant way since his departure and who did great good at the helm of PIE during his time of loyalty.
In essence, whether or not Golan should have the perks is utterly irrelevant in the face of the many greater ills the Empire faces.
I personally am quite interested to see how Golan responds to this.

This lacks grace and decorum, something Amarrians are quite well known for.
No, it seems the Grand Master has little interest in what the Theology Council thinks of Trevize...he's more interested in the public's opinion. If he were serious, such a petition would be on the desk of the Court Chamberlain, not in this public madhouse in which we congregate.
I wonder...does the Order such fear the power of this one single man? Or is something else going on here?

Tetrimon wastes its time with petitioning to an institution their own Scriptures consider illegitimate. You bow to the wishes of the Empire.
Tell me, when the Theology Council decided to ratify some inconsequential passages from your archives, which one of you wore the skirt?

I do not wish to speak for the man himself, but let me just say that you should rest assured that during the ISS conflict, Golan was one of the primary negotiators that sought to secure the situation between the Coalition and the Amarrians. As history stands, the result was that there was no fighting between the two.
So, Grand Master, maybe you should keep your business where it belongs and let the Sacred Throne Order manage its own members, eh? I would think such a respectable organization is quite capable of doing that.

Grand Master Horm of Tetrimon,
Theology Council is aware that Tetrimon retains their official privileges, as a religious Order, to raise petitions within the Empire as long as the exile of Tetrimon is suspended.
Therefore your motion will be reviewed by the Court Chamberlain and the Theology Council.
However, we will inform you only through official channels. Public displays of an important matter such as this, especially where the reputation of someone like Golan Trevize is at stake, can be seen as bad form.

And yet he clearly stated that if it came to fighting, he would fight CVA. This is perhaps the one case I will ever agree with the Tetrimon Order. _____________________________________

Interesting. Admiral Trevize is currently working up plans for the MC capital ship fleet but he has been notified of this... declaration. You can expect a reply within 24 hours.
I will be looking forward to my Admiral's reply to this as well.

Having met the man, I cannot understand how you can call his actions anything but honourable. Through his mediation attempts he tried to keep Amarrians from shedding needless blood and your petition stinks of pettiness and jelousy. His words may not have been eloquent, but they were to the point and showed some of the hypocrisy within the empire and it's followers. If your attempt to strip him of his due rewards succeeds, not only would it be a sad day for the Amarrian Empire, but a sad day for the universe of eve. ----------------------
