Just a quick note to the sad loser who ruined the Pirate Coalition forums.

Sorry to anyone who was using these to talk about eve related stuff.... shame one *&^%tard spoiled it for everyone.

Yep, the thing was it wasn't the usual random stuff. It was eve related in many posts but included pictures and links that contained material that was quite frankly *&^%ing sick.
After banning the guy he came back and did the same....

Maybe too late for this but did you log his IP and try banning him that way or better still report him to his ISP? Hard to say but depending what he posted and maybe by just by harassing your board he may well have violated his ISP's TOS.

I think this sucks, but is everyone missing the irony here?
Someone who's actions mess up one persons virtual experience is moaning about someone else messing up his virtual messageboard?
It isn't like this has slipped out of a game in to real-life .. it has just passed from one virtual domain to another.
Is it wrong?
Yes.
Do I condone it?
No.

Bringing virtual worlds out of their creator's confines is an important step in getting further into those worlds. All communities have natural right to attempt to meddle in the world. It's not a game. It's an empty space full of people, normally highly educated and capable nerds. Some of them who you are free to charge as very bad people.
I won't be satisfied until virtual worlds devastate and then supplant and remold existing currencies and institutions. Virtual City Hall will finally serve the people, and keep them under thumb much more effectively.

Pity you didn't log his IP. Some ISP's kick customers for that sort of thing depending on the things he linked to. If you explained to his ISP that it was a family game and the forum has minors, it wouldn't bode well for him, especially if this was part of the TOS when he signed up to the forum.
It's lame what he did but unfortunately the internet attracts all sorts of single cell life form like that.

maybe he did this for
1) he hate's you ingame and cant cope ingame
2) he's main aim was to close site down because he/she cant cope with the info you were handing out about ingame stuff out of game.
wait your upset about someone maybe ingame bringing it out of game ?
But you already did that with that website so he used your tactics against you hmmm(have you think about this one[right or wrong])
in saying that he should not link non-adult stuff or sick things so yea report him to isp and any one else that can do something

Very sad.
Its amazing how a few f#&%ing losers can spoil the game for everyone. If only there was a way to punish all the people that buy/sell ISK, use macros, hack accounts/ts servers, mutilate forums etc. One has to be really messed up in the head and have a very sad life to try and win a game by using such lame out of game tactics.
As for ruining somebody's gameplay in EvE, that does not apply to gate ganking. Gate ganking is a part of the game, a part of the rules. Only people that do crap described in first paragraph ruin the gameplay for others.

Given that the large majority of IPs are set in stone these days, you could've probably banned the IP and that'd have been the end of things.
If all they did was post ****, they probably don't know how to get around IP ban, and doubtful they know how to do any real hacking.
I'm with Avon on this, altho I have to ask:
Don't you do any sort of backup for your forums (If possible, I've never seen any P-C sites)? If so, couldn't you just rehost with that, or if all the guy did was post stuff, the mods couldn't just delete it?
