i dont petition often but when i have done ,if i dont make them stupidly short and simple ,i will get a reply back that makes no sense at all almost as if the person ran my peition through babblefish , its not uncommon for them to ask something that has allready been stated aswell
It would be nice to get an answer to my questions instead of an answer to what they "THINK" i asked.
I agree. I wish someone would answer the question i asked not the one they think I asked and send me a form response.
i thought more gm's were beeing trained anyway because they could not cope with the ammount of petitions there was just a few months ago?
i dont see how the mass mail that is obviously assuming alot of petitions are no longer relevant is going to help in the long run , surely there will just be huge backlogs again in the near future if the ammount of GM's there are isn't enough for the workload created
How about just getting the answer to the question you asked. Instead of the question they Assumed you asked. "Hunting rats is like minning for scrap metal... and occationaly striking gold" -- Justin Thyme

Well maybe if you accepted some more applications to help out you wouldn't have this problem.

Edited by: Caleb Paine on 16/07/2006 00:29:15 Lets face it, 95% of the world population is dumb and couldn't recognise logic if it bit them in the a$$. So I'm guessing that 95% of the petitions they get are either about stuff the player lied about hoping to cover his stupidity by shouting real hard, or the petitions couldn't even be considered Engrish or they're not even about something that's any use to petition in the first place.
5% would actually be something that's readable, complete, to the point AND be about something that's GENUINELY a game mechanic issue AND a GM could be of assistance with.
I've logged a fair few petitons (I'd say around 10), most were about Macroers or people using a dumb corp/alliance/ticker name. 3 were about ingame problems, of which 1 was easily solved if I would have actually thought about it for 5 seconds. In all those cases, I got a quick reply from the GM in question (I consider a reply within 30 minutes as being quick).
And yes, I've done some lately too.

Edited by: Phoenix Lonestar on 17/07/2006 22:01:05 Edited by: Phoenix Lonestar on 17/07/2006 22:00:34 I've worked in some form of customer service/relations for the past 5 years (if you include law enforcement, which is arguably 90% customer service). I'd be more than happy to go through the petitions to help with the queue for free. Send me your training manual/guide/what have you, and I'll start tonight when I get home from work. Never underestimate the value of volunteer labor. Feel free to evemail me and we'll get started.
