[5] I know, it's so funny. Half the posts are about the "death of pirating" and the other half are about how all the pirates are destroying the game for everyone by griefing and gate camping. [7] well kesh it seems u have just identified yourself as a carebear by labeling pirates who imo have very legit concerns "griefers" which they are not. just because u get blown up doesnt mean the person who blew you up is a griefer. it means you got pwnt. kthx agent red |

On the same note he might have identified himself as a pirate (or griefer) by labeling non-pirates with very legit concerns as "carebears". Both "griefer" and "carebear" have been used all over the place and are now fairly meaningless labels. People use them all the time without considering if the term really applies to a particulat person. |

[21] Most of the people in the game do not fit even the hyperextended versions of the words 'griefer' or 'carebear'. Sadly, most of the people in the game do not post on these forums either. I'm fortunate enough to never have been called a griefer or carebear. I don't blow people up, but I don't whine about being blown up either. Although, I am sure some of the pacifist-extremists probably think I am because I support the idea of Eve being a PvP game. |

Pirate is not the same thing as griefer. but the occupation does attract most of the griefers. Pirating is a lot more appealing if you're the sort who gets your jollys from ruining someone elses day. |

No one cares about the pirating, its the griefers and exploiters that ruin any game, including Eve.  Why is some can't see the difference between griefing, exploiting and pirating?  I have ran into a few pirates, won a few fights with them, lost a few, I even paid a few tolls, and accepted it as part of the eve universe, but griefing and using exploits is what will ruin any game for the rest, including the pirates.  Long live the carebears!  |

[30] I'm probably a carebear by most standards (I avoid PvP, but I have no problem with it), and I happen to think the game is getter better for me. |
