Let me start with the "why do we care?". You don't, but I do. My bank allows its customers to personalize/customize their ATM/Debit cards. So, I've decided I want to personalize mine.
EVE has been a habit and hobby of mine for more than 4 years, and CCP's renewed vigor to improving their game has also renewed my love for the game. So, I feel inclined to go just a bit further and be a little bit more proactive in my support for EVE and CCP.
That being said, since EVE is owned by CCP, I would need their permission to use an image of anything game related. But, before I ask, I wanted to choose the best picture that encompasses EVE.
Why is this a topic? Well, my quest for the "best picture" has caused me to wonder about other people. What do you consider to be the most iconic aspect of EVE? What sights do you see in EVE that you can't see anywhere else?
When you close your eyes and think about EVE, what do you envision?
And, CCP, I am receptive to shamelessly plugging original artwork, should your art team have something they want to feature *coughthatisnotincarnacough*.
For me, I still remember the sights of blaster rounds "missing" my merlin, many years ago. |

I think CCP would feel more supported if you put your credit card in their pocket, rather than their face on your credit card.

Hm, first thing that comes to mind is Chribba. Everyone should know the old face of chribba, a person tpwho supports the community.
The next iconic one... Well, probably the raven or merlin? Perhaps is probably best to look through all of CCP picture gallery and count each ship that made the most appearance in the gallery. The one with the most appearance is the icon of eve :) |

For some reason, I'm inclined to say the Rifter. It's the best Minnie frig, one of the best T1 frigs overall, and was featured in, at the very least, one trailer (Butterfly Effect). Failfitting ships since 2007.

Im just a sucker for Space Vampires ... I always knew there was something wrong with the Amarr ... the Blood Raiders are just honest.
But yeah for me, when I see the Amarr Titan ... THE AVATAR ... that embodies EVE for me, also the Nightmare, man I love the design on that ship! We need more weird spikey ships. |

Why don't you choose an image that YOU associate. We can't account for your taste, choose something that you would like to see on your credit card. I would probably choose something like the Empyrean Age splash screen. You would probably prefer something different. |

This is a disturbing trend and I'm not sure when it started but it is most annoying.
As I was just writing some thoughts on these morons, I figured it out.
If you write 'defanatly' as most of the unwashed masses that post here do, it pops up as a wtf with the wiggly underline. So the brainiac who manages to pay attention at least uses his spell check. Problem is that the top word that pops up is defiantly and not definitely.
Thus, you end up with a meaningless mess like that quoted above.

Ah, yes. I guess that one slipped by me when I shot it out. Although, now I'm a bit concerned. My intended meaning is pretty obvious. If it does indeed appear to be "a meaningless mess" to you I would promptly visit the nearest hospital. Clearly you are experiencing some kind of debilitating stroke.
I fear I may also have to consider the disturbing situation in which you are not experiencing a medical emergency. In which case, I would suggest you go back to the game you are clearly paying for. Correcting obvious spelling mistakes on a web forum (and Eve's forum to boot! ) is a pretty slippery slope. Next I can only imagine you sneaking up on graffiti artists in the dead of night as a spelling/grammar vigilante. |
