Welcome back to the game, Assassin.
We neither requested nor expected that you would be banned. When I spoke with Darknesss the next day, I made it clear to him I thought your ban was unjustified. I'm pleased to see you have returned.
You will also, no doubt, be very pleased to know that lost ships and modules have now been returned to ISSN members who lost them while waiting for their screens to load at your now ex-POS.
As an aside, I'm just looking at our killboard stats, and I see that during our few weeks in EC-P, the ISSN destroyed the following D00M. ships:
11 Battleships 7 Interceptors 7 Cruisers 4 HAC's 2 Interdictors 2 AF's 1 Recon 1 Stealth Bomber and 1 Command Ship
When you compare this to ISSN losses, as I am excluding our now fully re-imbursed ships lost at the POS, as one PvP corp to another, we are significantly ahead of you ISK wise.
However, when you factor in the whole ISS alliance and the many industrial organisations from whom you enjoyed easy empire ganks, that puts you slightly ahead.
We look forward to engaging you once again when ISSN relocate to EC-P. You have our respect as enemies, and we enjoyed our time fighting you. We hope you enjoyed it too.
Good luck for the future.
There will be no further ISS posts in this thread.

Edited by: Mynas Atoch on 16/08/2006 16:46:25 Triumvirate. I'm going to ignore the name calling and bluster and pretend this was a reasonable and reasoned argument. I know its probably a waste of time, but its the way _I_ play this game and enjoy it.
a) I believe we lost 31 Battleships that night ... I just can't face going back to count them again. It was an expensive lesson on why not to assault a Medium 'battle' POS with T1 Battleships with many relatively inexperienced pilots with relatively low fitting skill and suboptimal tanks. If that means we are f'ing noobs and should learn2play, then I accept and embrace the statement. We are newer to the game than many of you and are learning it as we go and having fun.
b) A significant number of them were lost to BOB, more than half, probably .. but guess what .. I'm not going to go back to check .. their killboard is open for you to do so .. for me, its done, we've moved on. BOB turned up more than once to interdict our repair cycle, meaning longer turnaround on the loop through the station and the POS based carrier repairs. This meant at times significantly less ships on station, hence, less targets to spread the damage around hence more hits on the ships there meaning more ships damaged beyond their tanks regen and more losses and .. you get the idea ... viscious circle till we had to call breaks. And people would go to bed meaning less on the next attack. BOB had a great time, as we got more and more frustrated, and made more and more mistakes. That's BOB. That's EVE.
c) _I_ should have called it off hours and many lost BS before I did. Mea Culpa. Hey .. guess what .. it was my first POS siege and despite my/our defeat by your POS on the night, still one of my best memories of the game to date. Thanks. o7
d) The decision to petition was made very early in the seige as a result of a number of lost ships whose pilots CRASHED in the lag. Those of us who WEREN'T crashing elected to continue. I'd never experienced anything like it and thought it excessive. You say that's normal? I'll take your word for it. CCP didn't take OUR word for it. As you should have been made aware, a GM ship turned up during the seige and stayed for a LONG time. I wasn't counting, but it was at least 10 minutes, may have been 30. He may be a noob who should learn2play too, but its his call on this, not yours, not mine. And you know what HE though of it.
e) I am not aware of ANY of our handful of pilots who petitioned for SHIP LOSS having received a reimbursment. So no, CCP aren't in an ebil conspiracy with ISS to let us play for free. 100% Platinum insurance does most of that. Mining and manufacturing all our own T1 ships and mods does the rest. You've been to vist us in some of the regions and some of the stations where we do that. Come again.
We believe, you may disagree, that without BOB's intervention the POS would have gone down in a bit, but not too much, more than the time we estimated. And for a little, but not too much, more lost BS than we estimated. We believe, you may disagree, that the risks of BOB pilots repeating their fun was too high if we attempted it again that week, whether using BS or Dreads. So we came up with another answer.
Triumvirate, why do you do this on forums? You are good players. We enjoyed the fight and the war. We learned a lot from it. I hoped you were enjoying it too. Daily our pilots ask to go back to play with you. Between us we created our own game content for weeks and, certainly on our side, logged on with joy in the evening looking forward to the fights ahead.
I look forward to the return engagement, for surely that will come.
Myn

you do realise i lost a BS, ammar lost his absolution and a couple of other people lost Bs's defending that POS from you when we were in fleet fights, so take them off aswell, though we didnt get refunded, but then we didnt have lag.

Hey, np... nice post
Doom, funny how you have 4 BS losses recorded on your killboard, yet I am looking at 11 BS killmails of yours right here and thats just from ISSN. Killboard stats mean nothing if you don't post your losses.

ISS did not kill more then us, therefore please dont attempt to brush off the demoilition of your alliance that we gave you.
Indeed we respect you as enemies when you fight. And thats quite often compared to many 'pvp' alliances so hats off to you.
Looking forward to the 2nd phase of the war in EC when you return

I too look forward to more fights in future. As you know Triumvirate are always up for a fight, we'll always take a fight on even if outnumbered if we have a chance of winning. See you on the battlefield

yes mynas we had some fun fights. but we see things untrue and fight it.
butter dog your killboard will probably show 11 BS kills in total, now this means that during dooms life you have been involved in those 11 kills. Our campaigns page shows both kills and losses during the time of war (empire war). I challenge you to give me these missing killmails.
Please bare in mind our Killboard is 2 months old nothing before that has been posted kills and losses alike.
