As a solo pilot ,and playing 3 years , im like why should i go out pvp , i can just throw my ship away , maybe im to oldschool i nvr fit stabs nor ecm unless its caldari ship . Ecm currently really makes my gameplay bad , to give a example i found a vigilant in my ferox and guy started jamming me till i was dead with 1 multi he got 5 or 6 jams in row my fof couldnt kill him .I know this is a mmorg but solo is way more fun , till now , all the nos stabs ecm im like why should i bother go pvp =-/. on other note i fear if youd give ecm to caldari only then nos should only go with amar , targetpainting with minmatar :-p , dampners gallente well you get the point .
I just hope there comes a good solution . Wheres the fun (challenge , strategie) in jamming somebody till hes dead .I jam you first so you lose =-p

It's terms you'd use in a game like World of warcraft, not EVE.... That's why it made me laugh my ass off.

You really need to get out more if you find the wrong use of the word debuff that funny.
@Jenny: Debuff is when you remove a buff from someone.. like in WoW, if someone have given you extra hitpoints by putting a spell on you, someone else can "debuff" it by removing the spell.

Well, If maybe i played alot of 'fantasy' style MMORPG before EVE, i might have related to those terms, but i actually always hated them until i found this game, EVE.
I'd never use them in EVE, which is why it makes me laugh that you'd even use them to describe the dominix abilities..............

There is no conclusion because people shouldn't make conclusions about it.
Tournament isn't what PVP is in EVE, and if you want it to be like that, QUIT NOW ahhhh..

And I never touched WoW. It is a legal term and has come a long way before WoW. If you think it is fantasy term, OK... ---------------- RecruitMe@NOINT!

as far as my experience comes to EW when me and my friends pvp we always fit Eccm and it does work good. We also fit Ecm as the best defence is the offence and it works out good for us but that's in small gang , we never go solo ...
/please atleast stop quoting urself making 1 page long posts just to say something offtopic.

Quoting *****s is more the term i'd use for this... I'm done here tho, Buff, Debuff, not used in EVE AFAIK, if you use it, well poor Fleet/Gang.

Debuff is the technical term. When I am explaining to a noob what something does I use the word debuff because that is exactly what it is. When I am on vent I will call it by the module name ( NOS THAT F'KER! ) etc.
Debuff is a very valid term.

Regardless of how to fix this, there are dozens of ways, CCP needs to get off their asses and support their game. All we are fiddling with is numbers. They need to start trying more constant updates until we get some semblance of balance then retarded annual updates that break things and aren't fixed for another year.
ECM has been "overpowered" since its change, and people have noted this. Why can't CCP just nerf it a little. Wait a few weeks, nerf it some more until its just right.
THe point is to keep progressing towards balance even if you won't ever be perfect.

Well I hope CCP realizes that ECM needs surgery not a bandaid. It needs to be a viable option in combat without totally stealing the other peoples fun. Just nerfing the current system is likely to either make it underpowered, or to not change much at all I fear. --------- ZOMG my sig was concordokkened! The problem with CCP is that they won't progress once they nerf something. Like you said, one "bandaid" doesn't usually work. They need to try different things until something clicks.

Originally by: Hugh Ruka 3. In the end the cap bonus makes lasers less cap hungry than hybrids and not requiring any ammo. And as to the tank. No other race can setup that WITHOUT a cap booster and so is limited by cargo space. However in that case Amarr have still the advantage of more free cargo space for booster charges.
- with the full 50% cap reduction bonus lasers still need more cap/second than their hybrid counterpart.
- if you think an apoc can run a dual repper setup without a cap booster think again.

Key thing to remember here is that an armageddon can field 5 heavy drones and have an entire cargo bay for Injector charges. An Apoc can put 2 Hevy NOS, cap injector with cargo full of stuff, and field 6 Dual Heavy Pulse IIs and cap charges as well 7 medium drones or 5 mediums and 5 lights.
So... generally you can outlast the opponent's tank. You could even make a case for Neut. Drones + NOS to break your enemy with amarr tech as long as you have the foresight to train for it.
