Originally by: Ebonheart Well I am the last of the minmohicans. I started with a group of 17 people playing Eve. It was awsome. Now sadly the rest have all moved on to Wow, with a few going to anarchy online.
Now I have decided to do the same. I have tried the leapfrogging skill month, where you pay for a month and start a long skill train for the next after your subscription runs out, but no more.
But what about all my stuff?Mainly I have a character with over 16 mill. sp, but obviosly that can't go to anyone, but I also have ALL the stuff that the other corp mates left when they jumped ship. Many Battleships, mostly Megathrons and apocs. Mining barges, lots of bpo's and oodles and oodles of minerals. i wish that I could set myself up as an Npc so that I could make up missions that give that stuff as a reward. Anybody have any interesting ideas for liquidation? I want it to go to real players who want to stick with this game not beggers. Oh well, I guess it all just sits as code waiting to be called upon years down the road when the game has changed enough to call me back.
this is one of those i feel bad for myself, down in the dumps post, since you felt the need to post it i will add to the absurd.
you embark on a journey to the shallowest game in production today, the AOL of games, that which is WOW. if you like sweet *gameplay* (not support) up to level cap and then it simply ends, have a good time. if you like itemization, wheras only the equip makes the player, wow is your game. if you like having the life sucked out of you to compete in what (sony/blizzard) calls pvp, go for it. like raiding? many developers from Everquest are now on the WOW dev team, wonder where the dev TIGOLE(raid developer king), now in wow, is from, everquest. raid implementation and itemization are now on par with EQ, that should make you happy. sure eve needs alot of work on details, one such being how to pay for it and others such as making the pvp'r, pirates and hi sec campers like my self ALL happy together. i see a huge amount of time devoted by devs to answering petitions and even reimbursing quite alot for stupid mistakes and posting tons on any particular thread, and KNOWING what they are talking about. this will never happen in wow, most devs that post on wow forums do not have a clue to what they are answering, thats a fact, read the wow boards, more hate boards than anything. you will also never see the humor, sarcasm or even the personal time taken by a dev to spice a thread up as they do here in eve. WOW devs are cold, uniformed and cruel in there responses, if they ever do, and wow forums are regulated with the iron fist of if it aint pro wow your against wow and deleted, but you will have to see that for yourself, its why i left wow and came to eve. good luck.
